Even though we were 2 women in a private room, our door was forced early in the morning. We went to the toilet with fear because junkies used illegal products in shared toilets and bathrooms. toilets were not cleaned at all for 3 days. There were hairs in our new sheets and a bug crawled out of the new duvet cover. We stayed in winter and the heaters were not working at night. It is close to the center, but the street has full of gangs at night. I strictly don't suggest for single women.

The hostel is actually quite nice BUT I couldn’t sleep due to the room being extremely hot with no fans or airflow. If you want to sleep in a sauna, book here. I also did NOT feel safe where it was located. Not recommended for solo travellers.
Please don’t stay here. It’s way too hot, noisy, and the doors don’t work. I literally left at 5am to take a train somewhere else as I could not sleep it was so bad. Air conditioning should be standard for any hostel. They have it at $4 hostels in Asia, they should have it in Lyon.
The staff didn’t give me the keycard nor the towel when I checked in so I had to go back to the reception area to ask for it. After I checked out, I ask if I can use the public bathroom and he said no. I left the luggage there in the storage when I was out but when I returned, my luggage was moved to a different place and the front pocket was unzipped. He was not helpful in providing any guidance on navigating the city at all.
The room was good but the hostel is quite normal. They don’t have a kitchen. The area is very bad, I was alone and I felt insecure. If you want to meet people, it is not your hostel
Einrichtung war kaputt, Tasche ließ sich nicht einsperren.
The equipment was broken, the bag could not be locked.
The website says there is laundry but when I asked, staff said it was for the hostels laundry only! this was super annoying and the only thing that saved the situation for me was a nearby laundromat. The doors are ALL so hard to open and are heavy, there was no sanitizer in any of the dispensers I tried and no where to wash your hands (without touching multiple door handles) If you used the hall toilet on the second floor. The locker under my bed was broken and all of them were so loud
I purchased extra for breakfast at 10 euros. Very expensive and it has only bread with jam. Not good for prices. Some hostel in Paris is cheaper than this Hostel.

Decent hostel. Not a terribly far walk from the old town but definitely a good bit. In a bit of a weird part of town, loud at night until about 10:30 or 11. Odd smell in the common areas but clean rooms and beds. Staff were friendly and helpful. For the price, worth it.
Bon accueil, lieu agréable et chaleureux. Je recommande.
Welcome, nice and warm place.
Clean and comfortable private room, there is no elevator so a bit of a walk up to the 4th floor.
The hostel was great and the crew was super kind. They also have a coffee/bar pretty good. The rooms are cozy, clean and chill, I felt really well rested. The toilets are also clean. The region of the hostel itself is ok, but some streets nearby might feel a little insecure if going out at night. Overall the location is pretty good and you can easily find transport to go anywhere.
la verdad está bien ubicado (en cuanto a distancias de la estación del metro, tranvía, centro) pero cuando sales de la estación de guillotiere, para mí, se sentía denso el ambiente, solo la primera cuadra, después ya estaba más tranquilo, pero a la vez solitario
The truth is it is well located (in terms of distances from the metro station, tram, downtown) but when you leave the guillotiere station, for me, the atmosphere felt dense, only the first block, after it was quieter, but at the same time lonely
J'y ai passé une nuit, j'ai été tres bien accueilli. L'hostel est bien situé, proche du tram et métro. Juste pas le mieux isolé par rapport au bruit dans la rue,dans le dortoir ou j'étais mais ça reste largement acceptable !
I stayed one night, I was very well received. the hostel is well located, close to the tram and metro. just not the best insulated from the noise in the street, in the dorm where I was but it is still largely acceptable !
Such a cute coffee to chill down stairs and all really clean.
Really good hostel! Loved the vibes! Very clean and not loud at all. I really recommend it. I only missed having a kitchen to cook in. Other than that, perfect
l’auberge est sympa, l’espace commun est vraiment grand c’est cool, niveau sécurité c’est top de devoir mettre la carte partout, les dortoirs sont assez grands avec les rideaux + les casiers sous le lit j’y suis restée seulement une nuit mais c’était une bonne expérience et j’ai agréablement été accueillie
The hostel is nice, the common area is really big it's cool, the security level is top of the line to have to put the map everywhere, the dorms are quite large with curtains + lockers under the bed and I only stayed one night but it was a good experience and I was pleasantly welcomed.

I thought this was a pretty great hostel. The rooms are clean, beds are comfy, and the cafe / bar area downstairs is nice and viby, which you don't always get in hostels ie it's actually a nice place to hang and work or read etc., and seems like there's a nice mix of people staying in the hostel and locals too. It's not super central but central enough to walk everywhere. I never personally felt unsafe, and was out til midnight / 1am on a couple nights. Some great food spots nearby too. I c
Really great hostel! It was clean and staff was nice. I didn’t mind the location but some might want something closer to city center, for me everything was super walkable. Nice common space and the hostel was kept pretty clean.
A very nice hostel overall, the staff was very friendly, a 24h desk is helpful and the bar area is very cozy. The room was fine, but the bathroom wasn’t the cleanest (but still ok). The location is good as it’s pretty central with good transport access, however I wasn’t very comfortable walking in that area after dark.
Propre, très sécurisé, un personnel aimable et serviable et des services impeccable avec un espace lounge beau est spacieux. Rien à redire si ce n’est l’emplacement situé dans un quartier assez malfamé.

This is a lovely hostel - we felt safe and comfortable in the interior. Convenient location to see the different aspects of Lyon and good transport links. However it is in a not nice area, especially if you approach it from one direction, and there are many drug dealers operating nearby. However, we didn’t stay out after dark and it was fine, but I wouldn’t recommend walking alone at night.
The place itself is very clean and cozy, with a nice bar downstairs. Not very social at the time of our stay though, the bar was mostly occupied by students with laptops. The surrounding neighborhood is very sketchy, not the most fun to walk around at night.
Everything was ok, however the location is very sketchy (especially at night) and be carefull about personal belongings (I had a misfortune of being stolen from).
