nous ne recommandons pas le couchage dans les caravanes, aucune sécurité ,la porte ne ferme pas , aucune place pour poser ses affaires , en guise de matelas plutôt une paillasse, propreté à revoir +++,toilette et douche à l'extérieur ( 1 pour 16 personnes plus 1 tente placé dans le jardin ) La cuisine pour prendre son petit déjeuner est assez restreinte au niveau place.

There are no lockers in the dorm. The 8p dorm is outside of the main house (caravan), which is announced in the hostel description (saw it later), but not when you're booking the dorm, so if you have to get to the toilet during the night, be aware of the coldness and darkness. The room was also boiling hot, but that might be the other guests to be blamed for (people set the heater at its maximum temperature) and it was probably over 27°C (we couldn't sleep, even after we were able to adjust it)...

Sale, literie horrible, surchargé (pas de SDB, simples cabines de douche dans un couloir), personnel exploité pour encore améliorer la rentabilité...

Anmeldung erst 15 min nach Beginn des Check-Ins möglich. Der 10-Betten-„Schlafsaal“ entpuppte sich als ein alter Caravan im Garten. Trotz absolut trockenen Wetters ließ sich der starke Schimmelgeruch darin nicht lüften. Keinerlei Möglichkeit, Wertgegenstände einzuschließen. Nur die Vordertür des Hauses wird nachts abgeschlossen. Die Hintertür bleibt 24/7 offen. Das Gepäck von 10 Pers. musste mitten im Weg platziert werden. Die Dusche war extrem dreckig, die Toiletten rochen star...

Not worth the price...

En general sucio y nada acogedor. La ducha es una cabina en la 1a planta, nada cómoda y sucia, sin ventilación para el vapor del agua. Lo único positivo, eran muy amables en la recepción.

The bathrooms inadequate in number and condition and our room also in very poor condition

unfortunately a negative experience. arrived in the middle of a storm wet and cold and learnt at check in that we would be staying in a Caravan outside the main building. the description had mentioned that their 8 bed shared room was a dorm but not the same for the 10 bed shared room. the path was not lit up and in the drakness, one needs to wade thru wet soil and grass to get to the room, and come back to the main building for using the wash. mouldy blankets, cramped room, unhelpful staff :(

Das Hostel ist in einem alten Haus und die Ausstattung, vor allem die sanitären Anlagen, ist gewöhnungsbedürftig. In den Betten gibt es keine Lattenroste sondern die Matratzen liegen auf Brettern. Für den Preis (4- Bett- Zimmer) kann man mehr erwarten. Die Aufenthaltsräume sind nett gestaltet, aber die Sitzplätze in der Küche reichen niemals aus, sodass man in Schichten essen muss.

We stayed in the caravans. Everything was soaking wet since the Windows and door did not close properly. There was no curtains to seclude the bunk beds and no lamps except the one in the ceiling. There were no lockers for valuables. It smelled like footsweat since going to Isle of Skye usually include hiking. There was only three toilets on the entire property. The communal area was way to small for the amount of guests. However It was close to the pub, Great escape from the horrors of the place

Nous avons dormi dans la caravane en bois avec les toilettes et douche à l’extérieur. Les toilettes étaient propres mais pas la douche. Nous ne sommes restés qu’une nuit mais heureusement car les matelas étaient très usagés. La cuisine est cependant très appréciable et bien fournie.

Tout était bien sauf le manque de sanitaire et leur propreté (une douche/WC pour 10 et évier cassé)

good and clean overall, however room needs more plugs, as we were sharing 2 in a 4-bed dorm

Very calm, great kitchen, nice staff and cozy common room. I was in the one of the caravans which wasn’t bad but the showers were in a separate outhouse. Very quiet and relaxing spot.

Wasn’t expecting to be in a caravan and the door didn’t close properly. Aside from that, lovely staff and volunteers. We had a great time

Klasse Lage in Kyleakin

Mooie plek, alleen er waren maar twee wc’s en twee douches waarvan eentje buiten. Wij hadden een 10 mix dormitory geboekt maar zaten in een sta caravan en op de dunste matrassen die er kunnen zijn en geen lampje of iets bij je bed.

Really nice.

The hostel is alright. But the showers were not so nice. Also I slept in a caravan and you had to get out into a wooden shed to get to a toilet. That wasn’t too nice in April. The bunk beds were a bit sketchy as there was no barrier for the top bunks and also no real ladder and the ceiling was quite low. Also the kitchen and common area was far to small for the amount of people that stay there. I recon in summer it’s nice when you can get outside. But for bad wether it’s not ideal.

I’ve stayed at many hostels over the years but this was definitely a low. I stayed in a 4 person all female dorm and the bed cover was stained with period blood and had cigarette burns. The manager from New Zealand was very kind but the man at the desk was not there for checkout (10am) and when I was trying to tell him my concerns I was waved off for their staff meeting. The bathroom situation should also be better expressed online as there is essentially one toilet per floor so long wait tim...

Spent 4 nights here and enjoyed the whole experience. There was a good atmosphere and the staff were lovely. The place is kept spotlessly clean and the use of kitchen facilities and free tea and coffee was ideal. Would definitely stay there again. Thanks to all for a memorable visit

Didn't thought you would have to get outside in a tiny wooden Hut to take a shower, and Come back, without Light to your small and Rudimentary cabin...

Amazing service, great location, and friendly staff. Very clean, no noise, and very social atmosphere.

Super cute hostel in Skye Island. Clean and organized rooms and common spaces. A lot of advices of what to do in the island! The dry cleaning service a life savior!

My friend and I were at this hostel during storm amy. The staff were very accommodating and attentive of all of our needs. We had lost power and they gave us additional blankets, and one of the staff members was using a camper stove to assist in helping us make meals/hot drinks. The atmosphere was also amazing! We played card games and hung out a ton! Leaving Skye was the equivalent of a breakup. My friend and I are already planning our next trip back to this hostel.

alright, some sittings missing in the kitchen and spiders in the bathrooms

Skye en general es muy caro, y este hostel no es una excepción. La casa es vieja y las instalaciones antiguas. Un baño/ducha para cada 8-10 personas, justo en temporada alta. La cocina y salón muy equipados, espaciosos y cómodos. Lo mejor de la casa junto con el personal.
