Madpackers Goa Anjuna

Don’t know how this place has a high rating. The first night I come back to my room after being out and there’s a man in my bed who refused to move. As 2 young girls we felt uncomfortable to be in there especially as another one of our roommates was really drunk and acting very strange. The rules say you can’t drink on site but the staff let him. Super dirty, bathroom in the private room reeked of sulfur. Staff was trying to be helpful but also tried to overcharge me when I got there. Wouldn’t recommend.

There was many issues that we faced. There was no running bar or restaurant all day. There was no network and the WiFi was always down. Even after constantly asking and getting a reply that it will get fixed the next day it didn’t. The light outside our room door took 3 days to get replaced so it could finally start working. I've stayed in hostels all over the world and can say with certainty this was the worded, incredibly rude staff, filthy from top to bottom and completely missrepresented in the pictures.Highlights included:- Being woken up at 23:30 and told I had pay now even though the reason I hadn't paid was due to there card machine not working and agreeing to pay on check out - The part of the room which had obviously had a small fire. No attempt to repair the walls of fire damage.- Room full of mosquitos

Reason 1. Property not the same as picture they have 2 building 2. Bad smell in room 3. Bed and mattress are not proper (Brocken plywood) 4.locker under the bed is not safe. Because it’s easy to access from under the bed (just lift your bed )

worst stay ever. It's a commercial hostel and is all about making money. They don't care about traveller's at all.

I would not recommend staying at this hostel. I arrived for my stay and to my dismay the place was filthy, both the common area and my dorm room. I decided to give it a chance as I was tired after my travel. The receptionist then overcharged me for my stay, I showed my booking email and the amount I was due to be charged but he insisted it was more and made me pay the extra. Finally when I went back to the room there were mosquitos everywhere and the bathroom was filthy, so I decided to leave.

I don’t often write negative reviews, but this place deserves it. I would like to start by saying that the staff were kind and hospitable. HOWEVER, this hostel should not be allowed to operate. The rooms are very worn down, dirty, we’ve had our room changed twice because the air con would start leaking. The property looks nothing like the photos you would see on hostelworld or others websites. I highly not recommend staying here.

Every few hours there was a different person at the reception without uniform or proper designation. Never understood whom to contact. No phone or network connectivity in the rooms and dorms. Reception building with mediocre bar was across the road from actual building with rooms. Wifi and electricity went out multiple times without any backup. Hot water would come after keeping the tap on for 20 minutes. Although kind, the staff was least helpful. Unclean bed sheets, leaking refrigerator.

It's a property with very good staff but the management doesn't spend any money on the upkeep

Great location and helpful staff. You can rent a scooter right there at the property and that makes it quite easy. Sahil at the reception is really helpful. Go to him for off beat recommendations!

The location is great & the accommodation itself is very clean & comfortable! With that being said, the staff are still my favorite part about this hostel. Guinness, Chesh, Awesome, Zaya, Shreya, Anas (I’m missing a few names 😅) you all were the reason I stayed in Anjuna so long, I’ll be back soon 😊. Thanks & love y’all!!! 👊🏽🤘🏽🫶🏽🙏🏽

Had a great time at Madpackers Anjuna! The vibe was friendly, the staff were helpful, and the hostel made it super easy to meet new people. Clean rooms, chill common areas, and a perfect location for exploring. Loved my stay — would definitely come back!

I stayed at Madpacker Goa and had a very disappointing experience. I had to wait almost 1.5 hours just to use the washroom because there was no water supply. Eventually, I had to change my stay and get fresh elsewhere. Because of this delay, my entire morning up till 12 PM got wasted—I had planned to go for a beachside breakfast but couldn’t. Finally, I checked out and shifted to another place.

Verry nice staff and cool hostel! Would totally recommend ☀️☀️ WiFi or internet in the rooms would be nice!
