Jungle by sturmfrei Vagator

Photos shown on the website are of a different place all together so misleading information provided on hostel word site. Every morning there is a shortage of water. For hot water in evening we have to ask them to on the geser. Overall a bad experience……

I did not visit the property as after making reservations they informed that the Internet wasn’t working. Since I wanted to work also, I did not visit at all and they also did not refund my advance. Though they were honest enough to inform about the Internet in advance.

I had a decent experience staying here at Jungle Hostel, Vagator. The people here were very cool, and the hostel location is very near to Vagator Beach. The negatives here were the breakfast and the amount of money they charged for the booking. Breakfast quality was not good, and the amount they charged for a bed in the dorm was on the higher side. The quality of the beds was not that good considering the amount I paid for them.

Would NOT recommend to my fellow travellers . Terrible customer service. Most of the staff treat you with no respect and like they did a favour by letting you stay there. Rude and not really helpful. The place is good, but could be way cleaner and have better staff who know what customer service is.

The hostel has 2 so called 'wings'. We stayed in wing B which is 200m away from wing A. - The common area there is a joke. It's 2 chairs and a billiard table on a parking slot. - The check-in was very slow. - We got a green writsband but no one told us that we can get a free breakfast with that. - Bad breakfast - Dorm room smelled and there was mold all over the walls and sealing - Beds where too short for a 1,77m person Wing B should not be the same hostel, since it is a nightmare.

The room had a very bad smell. When I opened the window, the view was to a garbage dump and sewage (no wonder the room was smelly). I went back to the reception & told them that I did not want to stay there & that they should give me back the 2000 rupees I had just paid in cash, but I was told that they will not pay back. I was also told that the garbage is outside their property, hence not their problem! The pictures are not representative of the property. PLEASE BE CAREFUL!!!

The room was unclean and smelled stale, with dirty surfaces, unpleasant bedding, stained pillows, and unclean towels. There were frequent power cuts affecting lights and air-conditioning. The apartment door didn’t lock properly from the inside, raising safety concerns. On the positive side, the staff were friendly, the location was close to shops, restaurants and beach.

A good party hostel in central Vagator. Under normal circumstances this would have been a great stay. Unfortunately, my experience is coloured by the exorbitant rates they were charging at New Year. I was also in the secondary building, which makes you feel more isolated from the main party.

For the price we payed, this place was not worth it at all. We stayed in a private bedroom with an ensuite over New Years, and our bedroom and the facilities felt very dirty and old. Bad atmosphere. Some days there was hot water for showers and others not. On the website, it stated that there were self-catering kitchen facilities which there were not. We spoke to management about this and they said we could use the staff kitchen which was filthy and we felt uncomfortable using. We left early.

don't stay here during the rainy season, the rooms were very damp (even with AC and fan on), so damp that the dry clothes in our bags developed a badsmell during our stay. The laundry also in only washing, there was no dryer so our clothes were still wet when we left. Other things we probably just got unlucky with: 1 missing umbrella, a staff member waking us at 11 telling us to check out even though it wasn't for us and another staff member staying in the room got so drunk she pucked all night.

Property has a relaxed and social vibe. Location is convenient, atmosphere is lively yet comfortable. Evening activities for social gatherings are quite fun. The staff is friendly and helpful, adding to the overall experience. It’s a great option if you want a fun, affordable and memorable stay in Vagator.

Had an amazing stay!! The hostel has a super lively vibe, clean dorms and a great social atmosphere that makes it easy to meet fellow travelers. The location is close to Vagator beach and Chapora street which a great hangout spot. The staff were incredibly friendly and always ready to help and the common area and bar beside the swimming pool made every evening fun. If you're looking for a backpacker hostel with great energy, good people and a memorable Goa experience, this is the place to be at.

Great hostel with a fun and social atmosphere! Super close to Chapora which is full of cafes and nightlife. The dorms were clean, the common areas were perfect for meeting other travelers and the staff were really welcoming. I loved their gaming bar too which was a perfect addon to an already impressive stay.

super chill hostel, great and very helpful staff,peaceful location and the swimming pool's great bonus ;) will definitely come back!

I stayed here during mid October. The location is perfect to explore and visit places in north Goa. The staff / volunteers are very friendly and helpful. Brownie points if you’re a dog person, as they have a few doggos who are extremely friendly! Thanks to Sakshi, Indumathi and everyone who is presently volunteering, for all the help/suggestions!

Room is good and great location

I was at this property back in 2017, it was great back then. Again I was here in 2019, it was ok then. I went here again in 2023, the hostel lost all it’s charm. But still, ok to spend a couple of days as it’s on the perfect location.

I had a room with AC. Bed and toilet were good. Locker was broken. Working area and food is good.

Always my first preference to stay in Goa

this is my second stay here. there is no place like Jungle Vagator! a big shout out to Dheeraj, Rea and the entire team out there including Neel who is volunteering there. a very cool place centrally located and close to most of the happening places! Food is excellent here! HIGHLIGHT - They have 3 dogs! Mufasa, Ghost & Simi! all the three are adorable and make your stay more fun and enjoyable with their constant antics! overall - i loved the place and shall always be my go to place in Goa!
