A few issues to be addressed. 1) friendliness of staff gentleman very grumpy & lady only acceptable not friendly no smiling face or welcome. 2) boiler broken, hot water provided in flasks but people preferring to boil water in pans & walk about with boiling water. Was told TV broken. Kitchen not a patch on Port Charlotte in organisation and cleanliness. Stairs a problem for me. old fashioned staircase, no hand rail especially on the corners.The fire door at top, very strong nearly knocked me do

It's a wonderful location!
We found the hostel well coming and very service minded. Clean and well kept. The surroundings are beautiful with the white houses in between the green hills by a turquoise sea.
Friendly and courteous staff. Spacious communal areas Good value breakfast - I’ll take it next time 8 sleeping in small room felt tight Cleaning under beds?
Beautiful location, easy to get to by public transport and nice staff. The communal spaces are not very cozy or nice to hang out, so as a solo traveler I found it more difficult to meet other travelers. But other than that good hostel :)
Great hostel, very clean and the location is incredible. Only thing that is missing is electric outlet on every dorm bed- charging phones overnight is sometimes not possible as there are fewer power outlets in the room than beds.
Nice hostel- great location. The only problem for us was a bright green security light in the ceiling which we didn't know how to turn off in the night. This meant sleeping was a bit difficult.
Stunning location. Fully equipped kitchen. Helpful staff. This was our second visit and could see us coming again.
Lovely hostel in a a stunning setting! The view over Lochranza Bay is absolutely beautiful, the lounge is comfortable with convenient lockers to store your bag if you arrive to early for check-in, and the kitchen is very well equipped. Only thing that could be improved : put some plugs by the beds for charging phones

This is a great place to stay and good value for money
Parking can be difficult if you’re coming in high season. I was there off-season and got one of a few spots available. Other than that, everything was great.
Incredible hostel! Easily the nicest I’ve ever been to. Exceptional views and location, lovely building, fantastic kitchen, kind and helpful staff, clean amenities, comfortable beds, very safe. I would highly recommend, and great location on the island!!

This hostel is stellar. I came to Scotland on my first ever solo trip, and while it is far from the ferry port, Lochranza is easily accessible by the bus station that is less than a ten minute walk from the hostel itself. It is in an idyllic location and honestly felt like a dream to wake up there every morning. Staff were lovely, the kitchen is exceptional, and linens were clean, lockers were a good size for backpacking bags. My only critique was that I found it to be very cold at night.
Amazing stay! The staff are really friendly and attentive to your needs :) Loved that the kitchen is well stocked up and the beds are extremely comfortable (we all overslept on the first night we were here). The surrounding environment is peaceful as well and you would be happy walking out to nature all around you.

Petit parking. L'établissement doit être entretenu. 2 salles différentes entre ceux qui paient pour le petit déjeune et ceux qui apportent. Dommage pour la convivialité.
Small parking lot. the establishment needs to be maintained. 2 different rooms between those who pay for breakfast and those who bring. pity for the conviviality.

Great location looking over the bay, mountains and castles. Very easy to get to via the bus and great location for walks. Highly recommend.
