Surfer's Hostel

Facilities are really bad. Mostly long stayers so being solo/new no one talks to you much. Young crowd. Dorm is a dump. Bad WiFi. Only 2 toilets. Extrem schmutzig! Es schimmelt in den Duschen so stark, dass Pilze wachsen. Außerdem schläft man in einem 16er Dorm obwohl ein 10er Dorm angezeigt wird, der direkt mit dem nächsten Dorm verbunden ist. Man schläft quasi mit 32 Menschen in einem Raum. Ihr könnt euch vorstellen wie die 2 Toiletten für diese 32 Leute aussehen…

just dont stay here. Everything is really dirty, except maybe for the bathroom that is ok. Bu everything else is really dirty. showers are open to outside and dorm room window is open most of the day so there are a lot of mosquittos. because of this the room is also a bit warm for sleeping. Worst of all, people party in the common room which is next dorms. The door doesnt block any sound so you can only sleep once the party is over. Even the people partying were mostly staff with friends.

Absolutely disgusting hostel don’t book

Das war das schlechteste Hostel was ich in 2.5 Monaten Südostasien besucht habe. Die 10.0 Bewertungen sind unverständlich. Als ich angekommen bin, war niemand an der Rezeption, weshalb ich mich selbst eingecheckt habe. Worst hostel I have ever stayed in we did not have water for a day and a half. So the toilet could not be flushed and we were not able to take a shower. During the night a generator went off from 2 am until 4 am making it impossible to sleep. When I told the staff about this the next morning they did not care at all. Get away from this place as fast as possible.

dont come here!! there is no service from the staff and they are really not helpfull when i was sick. everything is really dirty and the room is so small, it will frustrate you.

I don’t recommend this hostel… The staff was super nice and helpful but the hostel itself is super dirty. There are only 3 toilets for more than 30 people. Same for the showers, there are also super dirty. The dorms are sooo noisy and the toilet in the first dorm was doing a very annoying noise during the night.

Avoid! Dirty and poorly maintained hostel. The images you are shown are not those of the communal bathrooms which are inside the dorms! Strong damp and sweat smell. Very cramped inside the room. Sheets were stained and WiFi was very inconsistent. Events were often canceled or moved away from the hostel which made it tricky to follow socially.

j’ai passé 2 semaines ici et c’était 2 semaines incroyable une super ambiance tout le monde est inclus quand il y a une sortie même si c’est juste aller voir le coucher de soleil vraiment je conseil cet hostel si vous voyager seul et que vous voulez rencontrer des gens

Surfer’s Hostel was such a great place. Cause you are staying in a hostel on a remote island in Southeast Asia, keep your expectations low because this is definitely not a luxury resort. There will be some bugs, water and power outage, but that is normal. What made this hostel amazing is its people. The staffs made sure everyone was welcome, and there were so many planned events to socialize and connect with everyone. It truly felt like a family here during my stay!

Had an amazing time staying here! The staff and the other travelers really make the experience.

Can’t say enough good things about this hostel. My favorite hostel I’ve been to in the last 6 months of traveling. Great surf vibe many of the people there get up at 6 to go surfing which motivates you to do it too. Very much a family vibe created by the events, kitchen space and staff. The aircon is good at night which is hard to find in this area. Kitchen has everything you need and there’s a ton of bathroom space as well so I never had to wait on it. This is the best hostel I've stayed at in my 4 month trip. I've ended up extending here for an extra 2 weeks. There is always activities which everyone gets involved in and everyone is so friendly. Shout out to Chas, the best manager ever. I could not recommend this hostel more!

Great hostel with an awesome social vibe. There was always something fun planned every day, making it super easy to meet people and have a good time. Highly recommend!

Best hostel in Siargao

Our stay here was okay. The hostel is very sociable but the communal areas lack cleanliness. The location is also okay as long as you have a moped! Overall, would recommend staying for a few nights before moving closer to general luna.

Really disliked this hostel. It’s mostly long termers and volunteers which makes it difficult to integrate as a short-stayer. Staff were nice but it was overall a very exclusive atmosphere. Facilities are basic which is expected for the price but there was no soap to wash your hands with in the toilet which I feel is a necessity. Wouldn’t stay here again.

Amazing people, amazing staff, amazing atmosphere. maybe not the best facilities some would say. but compared to the price this is definitely one of the best if not probably the best hostel I have ever been here. wish I would have found this place earlier

El mejor hostaaaaal, fui para una semana y me quedé 3!!!! Todo el mundo majisimo es como una familia y los voluntarios los mejores. Lo más difícil es irse ❤️❤️

Das Wasser hat mehrheitlich nicht funktioniert, es wahr sehr Schmutzig zudem hatten wir Kakerlaken im Zimmer, bei fragen wussten die meisten Mitarbeiter nicht Bescheid
