Adventure Wanaka Hostel

Reception staff very welcoming and friendly. The kitchen facilities were excellent: plenty of space to cook and eat, and the area was well laid out. Nice spaces outside for al fresco dining and socialising. The toilet/shower facilities weren't quite as good: poorly ventilated and cramped. Bed comfortable, although I have experienced better quality bedding at other hostels.

Great location and I loved how social the hostel was. I just think they could make some improvements to the kitchen. It was always overcrowded and the tea towels always seemed wet. Also there were never enough forks or mugs.

Der Essensraum ist viel zu klein für die Menge an Gästen. Ansonsten easy Hostel. Man bekommt zwar nen Schlüssel, am Ende sind die Türen aber nicht abgeschlossen. Es gibt allerdings Schließfächer. Ansonsten sehr süßes Hostel.

If you have a vehicle just be aware that finding a park is very difficult as they only have 3 parks out the front of the building . I had to park a couple of streets away . Otherwise it was a really nice hostel with a good kitchen etc and very welcoming vibes

Fands sehr chillig dort, nur leider etwas teuer, aber ist Wanaka geschuldet. Gute Zimmer, nur die Betten sind für große Menschen (1,90m+) definitiv zu klein

Good bed setup but no shelf and lockers were difficult to access. The bottom sheet of the bedding was bobbly from overuse. Good kitchen but very small. It was very clean with fresh tea towels. However the limited space meant there wasn’t even anywhere to dry dishes whilst you were washing them. 2 showers (one was tiny), 2 toilets between 18 people so often busy. Staff were helpful apart from when they blasted music when they were cleaning with no concern for others. Great chill out rooms!

This was a lovely hostel, we really enjoyed the private room, had everything we needed. Good location, close to the town. We did find parking difficult, sometimes had to park streets away.

Loved the Hostel. Booked two nights and extended for a week. Loved the staff, Declan, Amber, Johanna and Izzy. Super helpful with planning hikes and trips and hosted many memorable activities. Facilities were clean and up to date, will definitely come back at some point!

What a place to stay. The bathrooms were modern, along with the kitchen. All the staff were amazing, with Amber & Izzy being exceptional & hosting great events during my stay. Highly recommend Adventure Wanaka for anyone travelling to the Wanaka area.

Such a sweet hostel with great location and staff! The kitchen is well equipped, beds have curtains and there’s security lockers in the rooms! There’s plenty of nice spots to hang out and always someone to talk to!

The best in Wanaka

Good hostel, well located near to free car park streets. The room of 4 was a bit little for us but the as all every point are good, it's totally fine.

Fantastic hostel. Staff are friendly and they set a great atmosphere. Has everything you need facility wise, and is kept really clean. Also in an excellent location, near to basically everything e.g. shops, cafes, food trucks and the lake! Highly recommend!

Love love love all adventure hostels and wanaka Is no exception, the staff are always lovely And happy to help, the rooms are clean and beds too, the curtain is definitely a game changer and your own light, plugs and storage pocket as well as lockers are amazing. You can tell thought went into designing the rooms and everything is held at a high standard! We did the Roy’s peak hike and reception Allowed us to borrow headlights for no extra cost, you also are given a complimentary towel!

Another good stay at Adventure hostels. This one located well in Wanaka, staff friendly & helpful, dorms clean & comfortable & generally facilities all round are great

Great location, appreciated the terrace and other common spaces like lounges, was really nice staying there. Clean and friendly staff. I stayed in mixed dorm 6 people with bathroom, slightly small (but we all had heavy bagpacks) bur otherwise all fine - the AC was welcome too!
