Very expensive for what you get

Originally tried to charge me twice despite showing them my receipt and bank statement. Next when I tried to extend, the Spanish guy on reception outright lied and said they had nothing. When I noted to the guy on reception that I had seen pests, he laughed and just said 'Okay!' Booked directly and the same woman who I dealt with at the Cape Byron checked me in, only after trying to make it as uncomfortable as possible and originally trying to deny a booking existed. More to say, no more words

Dried chewing gum stick to bed frames No aircon so was far far to hot Keycard stopped working 2 times in my stay Pool filthy Showers we really good tho

Room was so dark. No air con and the room was so hot, no sheets offered only a duvet so woke up sweating every morning. Only a fan that clicked all night long which kept me awake. Bed sheets smelled strange.

If you like cockroaches, people shagging in your room, dealing with proper dirty pans and boiling alive, I'd recommend staying here. I would not recommend this hostel to anyone.

The place was generally quite dirty, especially the showers and toilets with quite a bit of mould on the ceiling. Also the rooms, kitchen and TV area aren’t AC’d they’ve got ceiling fans which don’t cool the space down that much. Sleep in was difficult due to the loud noise that went on throughout the night as well as the very hot room due to no AC

This hostel is not social at all. If you want to meet cool people, don’t come here. The staff was rude to me. I spoke to the manager about it, but she didn’t believe that her “super friendly” staff would behave like that. I didn’t feel like I was taken seriously. The only good thing is that the kitchen is great.

We stayed for a week in a private room. Our toilet had a blockage in the sink when we arrived and there was mold damage in the shower which made us sick. Our room didn't feel very properly cleaned either, cost too much to get that room. Otherwise we liked the hostel, lovely surroundings, fun activities, wonderful staff. If it had been fresher I would have given more points. totally ok 6/10.

A great hostel to get some downtime. Not too busy, so using the kitchen is a breeze, but the common area is massive so plenty of space to meet new people. Location is ideal, short walk from the coach station and the main beach.

Very nice hostel with really clean beds and bathrooms. Not far from the beach. They have rental surfboards and bodyboards too which are good prices. Less than a 6 minute walk from the bus station too. Big kitchen that’s clean too.

I was a returning visitor having stayed here in a dorm as a backpacker some years ago. I returned this time on a weekend break with a friend and stayed in a private room. An impressive upgrade for sure. The room was well appointed and comfortable, with a good sized comfy bed, icy cold air conditioning and a large clean bathroom with excellent shower. The provided shower soaps and toilet roll were high-end touches. Cleaner than last time around the place, too. 10/10

The location was great and rooms clean. The 5 female bed was too small. Only 4 lockers for 5 people so i didnt have anywhere safe to put my things . Also there was only 3 female showers for the whole top floor . And no charging plugs for the top bunk

A fab hostel - always clean, spacious rooms, comfy beds. Kitchen areas were great. Super nice staff. Could be more social - more quiet vibes, but still some nice activities you can join onto. Only 2 showers in the new building though so there can sometimes be a queue. Overall would stay here again :)

Really enjoyed my stay here! Can’t fault it. The location is amazing the facilities are great especially the kitchen. There are loads of places to sit and enjoy time with other travellers. The one thing I will fault this hostel for it the fact that the cleaners clean the toilets at 9am every morning (when everyone wakes up) so you are not able to use them when you wake up, which was really frustrating. Other than that amazing!

Very nice facilities but the wrong hostel if you want to be social and party. A lot of longer stays with people working here.

✅ The location is close to the beach and downtown, there is plenty of outdoor seating on the deck, the pool is nice and the kitchen is large and relatively clean. ❌ The rooms however are small and felt a little like a jail cell. There was mold on the walls and no plug ins for the upper bunks. Some of the staff were friendly but most were cold and unwelcoming. Very expensive for what you get

Such a nice hostel with great facilities. We stayed in a 5 bed female dorm and it was lovely. Beds are comfy but could do with some curtains. Kitchen is big and well equipped. Nice social area with lots of seating. Along the Main Street of Byron so easy to get to places 👌🏼👌🏼

The hostel is quite new looking, my room with the en-suite was nice, clean and had AC which was lovely. The door didn’t close unless you pull shut so beware. No social events which I feel it needs badly that was a shame, only Pilates and yoga from what I see, a WhatsApp group would be nice to get to know people In your hostel also. Good location, staff could have give more information as only got told my room number. Overall 7/10 just the social side lets it down.

Loved staying here in Byron Bay! The hostel is very clean and has a nice environment as well. The only thing I would say is that the bathrooms were on a different floor than my room so that was a bit inconvenient when I needed to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

My FAVOURITE HOSTEL IVE EVER STAYED IN !! such a great location, close to town, close to the beach, close to a food shop. The hostel itself is beautiful, surrounded by trees and feels very tropical, lots of social areas and a pool!! The kitchen is huge and was always clean, the best hostel kitchen I’ve ever cooked in.

YHA Byron Bay is a great hostel - the facilities are brilliant and the rooms are great, every bed has a charging port, plug & light aswell as curtains. The staff were super helpful and it was a really nice hostel to relax in. Great location super close to the beach, shops, and restaurants.

Clean and modern vibe. Lots of different spaces to hang out on your own along with socia spaces to meet people.

Fik værelse i den nye bygning. Og der er man ikke lige så meget en del af fællesskabet som i den originale bygning. Dog er der en stor og god terrasse!! Der er kun 2 bade hvilket jeg syntes er for lidt. Men god plads på værelset!! Mangler bare en skraldespand der inde
