Dorm en badkamer echt heel vies. Er kwam gewoon een riool pijp uit in de dorm, daar was dan wel een kastje voorgezet maar alsnog te ruiken en te zien. Ook erg gehorig. 0 informatie gekregen toen we incheckten, niet gewezen op dakterras noch keuken.
Bedroom and bathroom really very dirty. there was just a sewer pipe coming out in the dorm, there was a drawer in front but still smelling and seeing. also very dirty. no information was given when we checked in, no sign of the roof terrace or kitchen.
Run down, dirty, bed bugs, no hot water. Weird staff who contribute to a weird vibe. Staff are also very unhelpful - one went for breakfast between 8-10am leaving the front desk completely unattended so I couldn’t get towels to shower before my bus. Location is good for boat but is far from the bus station
Eén nacht verbleven voor de ferry naar Belize. Het hostel was dichtbij de haven maar erg gehorig, geen gordijn en er zat schimmel op het plafond…
The hostel was close to the harbor but very quiet, no curtains and there was mold on the ceiling...
I do not know never managed to get in. We arrived at 22:40 due to our bus being delayed we had no service waited 5minutes in front of the door waving trying to get in. As two girls in an area that was not safe we decided to give up and find another place to sleep. Received a message from the property saying that they will help us get in. When we arrived at the other hostel. Not safe
The Worst place El peor lugar Be sure to be before 10 or you will lose your money ! Es mejor estar seguro llegar antes de las 10 o perderás tu dinero
Please note, they don’t have 24 hour reception. Should your flight be delayed or you get locked out, you’ll end up stranded on a dark street having to find alternate accommodations. I shouted and phoned many times and no one picks up the phone. Should there be an emergency, you’re on your own. Hostel world was also not able to reach them during business hours and refunded me/gave me a credit.
no privacy, cold shower
The place is not a typical hostel as you may find in other cities like Bacalar or Tulum. Some guests were clearly living there long term. The staff was accommodating and “nice”, but small things were lacking. No soap in bathrooms, no drinking water in kitchen. Even a little music could help the atmosphere. Chetumal unfortunately does not offer much in terms of options for hostels. So if passing by, just pay the extra and stay at hotel. It will be worth it.

This place is…not very nice. The staff are all super friendly and lovely but the hostel has some flaws. Firstly, there are no locks on the doors which made me feel uneasy but there are lockable lockers inside the room which is some comfort. The bathroom in the mixed dorm was NOT clean. There was facial hair from men shaving, grime in the shower (which also didn’t work and we had to use the shower in the room next door). There was also 2 cockroaches in the bathroom. Cheap room but not much el...

Very helpful and accommodating, I didn’t make it easy needing to go to hospital but they were great!
Very good and safe location in dowtown Chetumal . Familiy owned hostel, so very reliable. Communication very easy. Staff gave us useful tips about the city and other activities around. Our room was very clean with hot shower. The roof top terrace was very appreciated , enjoying the bay breeze.
Minimalist hostel
Minimalist hostel is located in the city.
The room itself was comfy and coean. Sadly Staff were not very helpful and could never find someone when I needed to. Weird check in process and cash only. Not a long walk to the ferry port though which is handy
Deberían cuidar más la limpieza de la cocina, al agua no subía bien para bañarnos muy poca agua. El internet falla mucho. Espero lo tomen en cuenta
They should pay more attention to the cleanliness of the kitchen, the water didn't go up well to bathe us very little water. the internet is down a lot. i hope you take this into account

Overall it was a good stop before heading into Belize. The place was very clean but very quiet which I think is normal for the time of year. Felt safe in the building, staff was nice but they didn't have much advice on best places to eat or best way to get to Belize. Kitchen had everything except for cutlery, they only had knives. I'd stay here again if needed to.

The facilities are not well maintained, old and dilapidated. It seems that only one front desk staff manages this hostel, can't understand English, communication is inconvenient. is one of the worst of the few hostels I have stayed in Mexico. The only advantage is that it is close to the terminal, within walking distance.

Very helpful and kind staff
I spent one night in the hostel to catch the ferry to Belize the next morning and it was fine. The staff is nice and the kitchen is very well equipped. Otherwise the bathroom and the dorm were really dirty and the vibe was a bit weird. For one night it’s okay but nothing more.
Nothing much more than a bed, which was comfy. Excellent location but a very strange vibe
Todo excelente, destaco que es muy limpio, tienen aire acondicionado. Pude descansar muy bien.
Everything is excellent, I would like to emphasize that it is very clean, they have air conditioning.
The owner was very nice, knowledgeable and tolerant. It was a very cozy place, but not with party vibes. Close the the Mercado, Mayan Museum & the Ferry.
