The Cranky Croc Hostel

I got robbed because of the guy at the reception. I was sick and needed some medicine. I asked the guy at the reception if it was safe to walk to the pharmacy 4 blocks away at 9pm and he told me yes of course like if I was stupid. Since he seemed so sure, I went. In front of the pharmacy a beggar pointed me with a knife and took all my cash. Fortunately I did not have any valuable things on me. The area is super sketchy, watch out

I guess it's an okay place if you don't want to spend any time in your room. To me it was very smelly, uncomfortable, loud and unsafe.

It’s an okay hostel but way to expensive for what it is. Rooms are cramped and there’s only one shared bathroom for the whole floor. One main place to hangout which is the lobby. All in all not such a bad stay but not worth the price.

Expensive hostel with nothing for free and vibes are a bit off. Lovely staff though, and table tennis.

I would have given the hostel higher score but I washed my clothes and a nice top of mine was taken.. I was also charged twice for laundry so make sure you read receipt when paying your final tab.. overall good and spacious hostels.. the pods are worth it and kitchen/lobby staff very helpful and food is decent.

this is a good place as they have pods you can stand in, that are like very mini rooms. but this makes the social aspect not as much. i needed some space and for that, it was amazing. would stay here again.

Really good! Would recommend the 'deluxe' pod rooms. It's basically a private room except instead of a door you have a curtain. The amenities are comparatively pricey (breakfast, laundry, etc.) but overall the hostel is great.

The beds were comfortable and clean hostel overall. however, the room was a little too crammed.

Very nice hostel, but not social. There is one social area with a lot of separated chairs, where most people just hang out with their phone unfortunately. On the evenings, it’s social though. But not at all during the day. They have a super nice food tour recommended by the hostel though. Definitely worth the money. Shoutout to Milena. That is also where I made friends from the hostel. The bike tour is also a big recommend.

One of our favorite hostels in the world! Cozy, quiet sleeping quarters, a charming and well-maintained building, a busy calendar of optional events, delicious food and drink available, friendly staff always available to help or answer questions. We stayed as a family of four (two parents and two teens) and we were so happy with our choice.

Stayed here twice because it was so good. The pods are such a nice idea for enough privacy but also allow for socialising, the bunks are also comfortable, the staff is always helpful and the hostel is located quite well in the middle of la candelaria but in the hostel it’s very quiet and it always smelled very nice. The kitchen is equipped enough to properly cook and the movie rooms allows for some chill time.

Had such a lovely stay here. Great amenities (especially the in-house bar/restaurant), the best staff, and a warm atmosphere. Maybe just a little more attention to the showers, but otherwise everything was fantastic. Thanks to the whole team for creating such a great place.

Really nice hostel, great rooms, private and super spacious! Facilities could be little cleaner but was fine. Also was okay social, but not really any events. Big negative was, a roommate got their credit card stolen out of his bed during the day! Staff didn’t really do anything about it..

The facilities at this hostel are the nicest I’ve ever had at a hostel- I was basically in my own little room, it was so nice. There’s very little social atmosphere, but I don’t think many hostels in Bogota are social atmosphere all. It was nice to be able to relax here in my own space for once and have a large, clean, well equipped kitchen for once as well

Au top, je recommande fortement l’emplacement ! Ils ont tout, une terrasse pour fumer mais aussi un bar dans les parties communes, avec même une table de ping pong. Superbe auberge, les dortoirs avec box privatives offre une intimité plus qu’appréciable. Le personnel est sympathique et à l’écoute. Les espaces communs sont de taille et la cuisine très bonne. Je recommande

I only stayed very briefly to catch a flight so can’t comment on food/social side of things but I really appreciated how clean it was and being given a towel!

I loved everything about this hostel and would even say it’s one of the best hostels I have stayed in. It’s perfectly located, and the pods in the dorms are such a great idea if you enjoy meeting people but still want your own privacy. The food was very good, and the common area was great ideal for a relaxing coffee in the morning or later in the afternoon when it gets busier for a cocktail, a beer, or simply to meet other people. The place was also very clean, and all the staff were so love...

One of the best hostels I’ve stayed at in Colombia! Great location and functional, clean facilities. Helpful and friendly staff. My only complaint is that I ordered the French toast for breakfast and it was very soggy which is not how French toast should be in my opinion haha. Breakfast portions were also a bit small.
