Staff was very nice, but the facilities are not the nicest. Seems like it’s filled with working people who live there long term. We did not see any other backpackers or travelers while we were there, and chose to stay somewhere else in the end.
Cheap and helpful staff but still a place I would not recommand. There is one shower and one toilet per 6beds-dorm but you can not even lock the door when using it …
I want to say something nice, but honestly this was the worst stay I had in a hostel so far. The owner was nice and I guess its ok for the price, but the beds were the worst. It felt like I was sleeping on the actual floor and after hardly any sleep I woke up wih such backpain. Also it‘s weird some peiple seem to live there and they claim all the space. The bathroom is also in the room and it seems to never be cleaned. So I would actually not recommend staying here

The space is a little bit of a mess but the location is not correct. there is no common room and nothing, only beds, and a shower.
I recommend redoing this hostel or take it off hostel world. this is an ok "bed to sleep" for seasonal workers, but not an international hostel. other guests were smoking and spitting nonstop in the bathroom and tossing the cigarette butts on the floor. there was no common space and negative atmosphere. only redeeming quality were the staff, who were super friendly and helpful to go above and beyond to do what they can to help.
Customers were smoking in the bathroom ensuite so there was a constant smell of smoke. Facilities were not cleaned regularly either so it felt very dirty in the bathroom. No common area, just a dorm. Nobody was there when I arrived mid day to check in.
Banheiro imundo, não via limpeza a dias. Dividir o quarto com os locais foi difícil, comiam no quarto o que deixou o local fedendo muito.
Sharing the room with the locals was difficult, I was eating in the room or left the place smelling very bad.
Very friendly owner, clean bedrooms but uncomfortable bed itself. Would recommend if looking to stay for 1-2 nights for cheap.

I came back here again. It's always a pleasure to stay here. The people I meet are interesting and eager to make friends. The owner is a kind guy, always available to lend a hand and offer advice to anyone who visits. The location is excellent, a minute's walk from the metro station. The area is quiet, with supermarkets and restaurants nearby.
convenient cheap stay. just a dorm in a block of flats, no common areas. not close to anything but it is next to a subway. for what i needed it was perfect, and i would stay here again but it's not anything more than a nice dorm bed

Wir kamen sehr spät (21 Uhr) in Shenzhen an und hatten noch nichts bei unserer Ankunft gebucht. Der Besitzer hatte schon gar nicht mehr damit gerechnet, dass jemand kommen würde und war beim Abendessen. Wir haben ihn telefonisch erreicht und er hat uns ohne zu zögern seinen Türcode gegeben, damit wir in seinem eigenen Zimmer auf ihn warten können bis er bei uns sein kann! Von dem Vertrauen waren wir beeindruckt! Zimmer sind sauber, mit Vorhang und Schließfach! Würde jederzeit wieder komm...
We arrived in Shenzhen very late (21h) and had not booked anything when we arrived. The owner had already not expected anyone to come and was at dinner. We reached him by phone and he immediately gave us his door code so that we could wait for him in his own room until he could be with us!
100/10 lol. i've spent my november here and let me tell you: for this reasonable price you can expect a minimalist stay, with probably the best location in all of shenzhen; you walk downstairs from the hostel & have a metro, a mall, 24/7 stores, parks, a high school etc. very lucky to have met roy, he's the man - he helped me and other roommates with anything anytime, out of pure heart rather than obligation. if you're budget-traveling to shenzhen like me, i highly suggest this gem of a hostel�...
It was very cheap, but the rooms, especially the bathroom and shower were very dirty and the beds were hard.
Everything was ok , it’s in a good location near to everything in Shenzhen , and the owner always happy to help us to give us information about the city , definitely I will back again

Best option for the price, Roy is the best man! Speaks English and always down to help.
Great value for price and Roy is great. Mattresses are a bit thin. Didn’t bother me at all but bothered my friend. Curtains are great. Only thing I would say is it is filled with locals and lights turn on sometimes in the middle of the night / some smoking in the toilet. For price it is 100% worth it but just keep that in mind if not from China.
Firstly I was very angry about booking this hostel as the directions to get there, in my opinion were not clear. After the initial going to the wrong place, the host Danny contacted me and even came to collect me. He helped me to sort out everything I needed in China and even when I was heading to Macau. Definitely recommend.

La chambre est très bien, le personnel très gentil et aidant mais c'est assez loin du centre. Heureusement il y a le métro juste à côté. C'est très calme.
The room is very nice, the staff very kind and helpful but it is quite far from the center. luckily there is a subway right next door. it is very quiet.
We had some difficulties to find the location because of some problems on our side, and the people of the hostel came to take us by car late at night, every person at the hostel was very nice and helpful, we really liked our stay at the discovery hostel

It’s okay, only thing that wasn’t nice was that it was a non smoking room yet some people smoked in there. But overall an okay stay for a night or 2 if your in ShenZhen.
Ein junges Hostel in einem Hochhaus von Shenzhen. Nettes Personal, hilfsbereit mit Privatanschluss, soll heissen man kommt unter Chinesen und wenn man Glück hat, wird man auch noch bekocht 😅 da bauen sich richtig Freundschaften auf. Komme gerne gern wieder. Georg Heinisch Deutschland
