De bedden zijn zeer oud en de badkamer is vies, er lagen etenstesten (broodkruimels) in de doucebak. De kamers zijn war m en vol met muggen. De bedden hebben een voetbord waardoor je er amper in kunt liggen als Nederlander. De host is overigens wel ontzettend vriendelijk daar ligt het niet aan. De kamers zijn duur in verhouding tot de kwaliteit ervan. Voor hetzelfde bedrag heb ik nu een B&b geboekt die velen malen netter en luxer is.

I have to say that I was extremely disappointed with my decision to stay in this 'hostel'. Despite that, the hostess is a pretty good person, and in the property description is awareness about cleanliness and atmosphere in this filthy place, however, the issues with the poor sanitation are incredibly awful. My first bad impression was the smell and air. The heavy mildew smell and stuffiness kept me awake and uncomfortable all night. Furthermore, I am allergic to cats, and I was not prepared for...

Very weird and uncomfortable vibe. We payed for our room and left without sleeping there due to the unacceptable cleaning standard. There were huge stains and excrement in the toilet and on the toilet seat like it had not been cleaned in months. There were stains on the bed linen and they smelled unclean. The floor carpet was extremely stained and the shower was unacceptably dirty to use even with shoes on. We have stayed in hostels all over the world but this was the worst of them all.

L'établissement meriterait d'être fermé pendant 1 semaine et nettoyé au karcher. Dans la chambre, les tapis sont dégoûtants et l'aspirateur n'a même pas été passé. L'endroit est plein de chats très mignons mais grouillants de bestioles et qui dorment sur les draps propres qui traînent partout. L'hôte est tres aimable mais dans un environnement pareil c'est insignifiant.

Only positives: cute cats, close to train station, Deborah was friendly. Worst sleep of our lives. Broken mattress. Unable to lie flat. Ended up sleeping on dirty floor. Never suggest anyone to check in. Arrival at 11pm. pressed the intercom, no answer. thru frosted glass, saw a person' silhouette. I gently pushed the gate. the shabby metal gate generates huge cracking sounds. (owner's Husband)opened the door and blamed me for this cracking sounds. inside, like a dirty messy second hand furniture shop.the toilet, shower and the kitchen places are unspeakablely dirty. over charged10 Lei, returned me 2Lei after manipulated Exch-rates. morning a cat in bed.

I arrived early and it was closed until 9 am. I understand check-in time was 3pm but I was expecting to have at least where to leave my luggage. But they told me they had no place for that, and that I could not stay in the common areas (actually there are not common areas). I called and they told me no possible to stay in the meantime and just shot the call without even saying goodbye. No kitchen to cook. It seems like everything but a hostel. I booked another place immediatly and not stayed.

Great location...but that's about the only positive. Don't usually leave bad reviews and has taken a year but keep getting prompted to complete one. So... Uncomfortable, unsettling, unhygienic. Basically felt like a room being used for some needed income. Paid extra for breakfast but regretted that and never touched it. Kitchen is filthy . the one toilet for the hostel was flooded during my stay, wifi was down, staff seemed like they didn't want to be there, area smelled like gas, kitty has fleas, and I was eaten alive by mosquitoes

I can see that not everyone would agree with me but I loved my stay. The hostess was very helpful and knowledgeable. The house really had character. It had a bit of a museum. I even loved those short stone steps and the two stories I had to carry my lugguage up. It somehoe felt more real than the new all-comfort hostels. I felt somehow a bit connected with Bukarest. Also great location next to the station and lots of transport (I walked) to Old Town etc. Loved the stay!

The Room was pretty dirty, dust and dirt on the ground. Old Hair in the shower, which in total was not pretty clean. Had no Dustbin in the Room, and this didnt changend eben after i informed the Reception. And its a Family run Hostel. And i seemed to be a very religous House. This would be nice to know in advance. I weared a Metalband-Shirt and the Host was my whole stay complicaing about it. So Metalheads don't go there

Not the hostel experience I thought it was going to be like social but it was a nice quiet place! The house was nice but saw spots that needed remodeling. It’s a decent spot to stay that’s close to the metro.

Such a beautiful house and a warm family. 10/10.

La maison est très joli et a du charme. On pourrait s’y sentir bien si la famille était agréable. La cuisine est recouverte de gras, ce qu’il y a dans l’égouttoir est encore sale, l’évier est constamment rempli par la famille, le linge de table et le torchon ne sont pas changés, une poêle est restée sale tout le long de notre séjour (1 semaine). La chambre était sale aussi. Les draps étaient pleins de petites tâches et on y a vraisemblablement attrapé des puces. Irruption ...

The location for was perfect! The house is really beautiful but it is dirty, specially the kitchen. If you like to cook you will not be happy here. Some members of the family are quite welcoming, others won't speak to you or will barely look at you. It's not too expensive but there are better hostels for the price.

Easy access to downtown. Comfortable room. Great breakfast. Friendly hosts. Kitties and kiddies.

Bagno fin troppo piccolo, doccia con flusso di acqua poca, camera piccola. Scale per salire molto piccole quindi fare bene attenzione. Ottima la posizione vicino la stazione ferroviaria e metro.

It has everything I needed. A hot shower, clean bed and quiet.

La habitación y la sala de ducha no estaban muy limpias,pero la sábanas impecables! El colchón estaba sobre otro con resortes, y me resulto incomodo. Pero la propietaria es muy interesante, simpática y explicativa. Hay una cocina, no muy limpia, a dispocición de los húspedes. El lugar es tranquilo y seguro por la noche y esta a solo 5 minutos a pie de la Gara Nord, muy práctico cuando hay que tomar un tren temprano.

Saw a cockroach in the toilet. The toilet seat is not cleaned and has yellow stains. WiFi keeps disconnecting.

I love this place for it's charming character and hope to stay here every time I stop in Bucharest. However: The toilets and showers are dirty. Payment is awkward. You have to pay by cash. The cash machines didn't like my card, so I had to use another and pay a high exchange rate. But the lady who runs the place is very friendly :)

It was better than we had expected. Very hot but then it is summertime. Friendly staff. Kitten therapy. The house was a cool retreat from the blasting sun. Don't recommend Bucharest in July. It is an oven.

I had a really bad time there. the host was waiting for me at 1AM and even drove me to buy food at night. But later, it was a nightmare. I couldn’t sleep at all because I was attacked by plenty of bed bugs. I killed at least three bugs on the bed, and there were blood spots. I told the hostess everything, and she was implying that I'd brought them from another hotel. But my flight was from Finland. Genuine, budget-friendly guesthouse with lovely, helpful hosts and stellar homemade breakfasts. Expect charm! But also saggy mattresses, occasional sewage odor, and patchy maintenance (a ceiling leak, peeling paint), all which the hosts disclose clearly in their OWN description (but it's not ironic). Communal areas feel warm and social, and laundry was done free when we asked. Great value if you prize hospitality over hotel-level comfort.

Friendly and easy-to-deal-with host and good location if you arrive with the train. The room was okay for the price. Unfortunately, there were clear urine stains on the toilet seat when I arrived — I cleaned it myself to get it over with, but this really shouldn’t happen. No trash bin in the room or bathroom, no Wi-Fi info even after asking, and no hot water in the morning. The place has a somewhat charming, old-fashioned vibe. I would choose another accomodation next time.
