we thought the location and the staff were really good, super caring and nice. however the facilities are not worth the money at all in our opinion. the room we were in was tiny, the 3-bed bunks did not allow us to sit up straight (i am 170cm; these rooms have no space for existing at all). there are no common areas apart from sitting at the bar which was fun for one night but i unfortunately would not recommend a longer stay (and we like to drink but amenities just not worth the money)
It's $40 a night for a dirty triple bunk.
hostel, atmosphere and the staff were amazing. Super helpful when I had a flight at 6 AM after NYE. Super social hostel! They also upgraded me after I got in, which I really appreciated. However I did pay ~$240 CAD per night and I was forced to book for minimum 4 nights for the NYE season. When I spoke to other travellers no one was paying as much as me, and no one else had to book min 4 nights. Not sure if this was a Hostelworld issue but wanted to make people aware! Use diff booking platform!
Not worth the high price. Beds are too small and uncomfortable. The 30-40 staff members who work there take up all the space in common areas and are loud and obnoxious. You are forced to wear a bright wristband during your stay and I was unable to take it off when out in town. The location is nice, but this place is a glorified bar with a few too many issues for me. I left early.
So das Hostel an sich ist in einer Top Lage. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist Katastrophal. Die Zimmer sind sehr ungemütlich. Matratze hart und die generell der Eindruck, dass mehr Auge auf den Betrieb der Bar da ist. Zum socializen ganz cool, weil viele wegen der Lage kommen aber alles andere wie eng die Zimmer sind, steht zu keinem Verhältnis zum Preis und das ohne Frühstück. Man sieht jeden Tag neue Mitarbeiter und man versteht nicht wer da arbeitet.
So the hostel itself is in a top location. The price-performance ratio is disastrous. The rooms are very uncomfortable. Mattresses are hard and the general impression is that there is more eye on the operation of the bar. For socializing it's cool, because many come because of the location but anything else as the rooms are tight, is out of proportion to the price and that without breakfast. You see new staff every day and you don't understand who works there.
Great location, and good staff honestly not a fan of the rooms though too many people crammed in one and they were pretty gross the one restroom as well was not good. Not any common areas outside of the bar downstairs. Also it was cold outside at night and air conditioning stayed on in the rooms so it was freezing every night. Could also hear all the music and noise form outside until it stopped at around 11pm every night
The worst experience that I ever had in The Hostel ever the facilities are shit that people are shittier and they f***g accuse me on something that I didn’t do so and they kicked me out for it. I highly f***g not recommend to go to this place. This is like a f***g shit hole
Very overpriced for the service you get. The 12 bed dorm is massively overpacked for the small space. There are no common areas and the rooftop with the kitchen was dirty. Furthermore we have been charged more than what it said on hostelworld, the hostel charged 20$ more without any explaination and the issue was never resolved. The location is the only plus for this hostel.
Perfect location. Friendly and helpful staff. There are no shared bathrooms, so if you are in a 12 bed dorm you may have to wait (even more than 30 minutes) to use the bathroom. Very high prices, for no reason (maybe just for the area). I paid 240reales for 1 night in a 12bed-dorm. A bit excessive. Breakfast expensive and poor. There are better options in Rio.
The bed simply doesn't fit you if you are taller than 1.85m.

Cristal was amazing! Great and friendly staff at reception. Always running activities and helping out! Loved the kitchen / upstairs area, and of course great location.
The staff were so great and helpful (shoutout Eric, Rodrigo, and Lucas) and the bathrooms were kept decently clean, and activities were solid. I just wasn’t a fan of the actual space itself (they’re packing wayyy too many people in this building and it’s nearly impossible to use the bathroom in your room) and nobody follows common hostel etiquette (lights on and hair dryers going at 11-12 PM) so don’t expect to sleep well here. Also I woke up to a cockroach crawling on the wall by my fac...
Mijn verblijf in deze hostel was top! Het zijn schone kamers, en er zijn veel leuke activiteiten. Christal & Eric achter de receptie zijn heel vriendelijk net zoals de andere stafleden. Ik zou het zeker aanraden!
My stay at this hostel was top notch! its clean rooms, and there are lots of fun activities. crystal & eric behind the reception are very friendly just like the other staff members. i would definitely recommend it!
