Average, but wouldn’t recommend.
Don’t book here, my sneakers go stolen and staff were unhelpful
Ho prenotato anche la notte precedente il mio arrivo (6 AM in aeroporto) per riposare dopo un volo di 18h. Sono arrivato alle 7:00 in ostello, ma la prenotazione è stata cancellata per no-show nonostante la policy indicasse letto garantito fino alle 8:00. Mi è stato detto che il letto non era disponibile (nonostante la policy garantiva fino alle 8) e che il check-in era solo dalle 14:00, obbligandomi a prenotare di nuovo. Nessun rimborso e soldi Hostelworld trattenuti. Esperienza molto negativ...
I also booked the night before my arrival (6AM at the airport) to rest after a 6pm flight. i arrived at 7:00am at the hostel, but the reservation was cancelled for no-show despite the policy stating guaranteed bed until 8:00. i was told that the bed was not available (despite the guarantee policy until 8:00) and that the check-in was only from 14:00, forcing me to book again. no refund and no money hostelworld treated. very negative experience.
Without a doubt, the worst hostel I've ever stayed at in my life and I've stayed in a lot. First it is very unsafe - a lot of the rooms have one set of plug socket between 6-8 people which or course get overloaded. Huge health and safety problem. The air conditioning in the room was causing coughs for everyone because of mold and dust circulating through dirty filters. The key cards NEVER work - you have got to reception about four times a day to get into your room. The staff tell white lies
Rude staff, need to queue at reception every time you want to re-enter your bedroom to reactivate your swipe card as the electronic locks need renewing. No social vibe at all. Beds without curtains, filthy mattresses, tiny kitchen, wear and tear of rooms and bathrooms need mega upgrade. Good location.

Pessoal da recepção e limpeza super atenciosos, quartos pareciam uma sela de cadeia sem janelas banheiros um cubículo casa velha com cheiro de mofo e pelo que entrega caro.
Reception and cleaning staff super attentive, rooms look like a jail cell with no windows bathrooms an old house cubicle with a smell of mofo and expensive delivery hair.
Las camas no tenían número y todo el tiempo estaban sacando mis pertenencias y cambiándome de lugar. No hay cortinas y la luz jode muchísimo.
The beds had no number and they were constantly taking out my belongings and moving me around.
The hostel itself is ok and the manager is very nice and helpful. Unfortunately, the volunteers seemed to appear a bit cliquey within each other and some seemed a little unfriendly. Other guests had picked up on this too. I also saw a message where one of the female volunteers had said something quite unkind about me in the volunteer group, which is not a good look for the hostel and looks very unprofessional and made me as a guest there feel extremely uncomfortable.
Ne m’ont pas laissé rentrer, ils m’ont laissé dormir dehors seul dans les rues de Rio, car j’ai suis arrivé en retard pour le checkin
They didn't let me go home, they let me sleep outside alone in the streets of Rio, because I was late for the check-in.

I have reached my expectations.
This hostel was great! Really affordable and so close to Copacabana. The staff were lovely, Rapha really helped me out when I needed somewhere quiet to take a work call! Super close to lots of supermarkets, bakeries, restaurants etc. loads of bathrooms and showers which are cleaned everyday. We loved the big mirror in the bathroom for getting ready with the girls :) would definitely stay here again!
One of my really bad bad experiences in Brazil, i will not recommend ! I keep explaining all the problems in the room but nobody care ! They just look after your money

Horrible, dortoirs minuscules et extrêmement sales

Séjour très décevant. En 2 nuits, mon lit a été défait et occupé en mon absence à deux reprises, j’ai dû changer de lit deux fois. Plus d’eau pendant une journée entière avec une énorme fuite non prise en charge par le staff : j’ai dû couper l’eau moi-même. Cartes de chambre qui fonctionnent une fois sur deux. Seul point positif : l’emplacement. Je ne recommande pas.
In 2 nights, my bed was unpacked and occupied in my absence twice, I had to change bed twice. Plus water for a whole day with a huge leak not taken care of by the staff: I had to cut off the water myself. Room maps that work once in two. Only positive point: the location. I don't recommend.

good location, was supposed to keep wristband thing on tho, not happening, and the room keycard scanner stopped working 5-6 times in 2 days, mainly brazilian crowd when i was there

Lage sehr gut und nette Mitarbeiter aber die Küche ist leider nicht gut ausgestattet und die bedwäsche könnte auch besser sein. Trotzdem einen guten Aufenthalt gehabt
Location very good and neat Staff but unfortunately the kitchen is not well equipped and the bed linen could be even better.
We loved this hostel so much that I came back twice. It is extremely clean, the beds are made every morning, and the room and bathroom are cleaned regularly. The location is perfect, just next to Copacabana beach, and everything you need is nearby. It’s a very lively street but at the same time safe and calm. Special mention to Raphaël, always there if you need anything, extremely kind and super friendly. We can’t wait to come back to Rio to stay again in this hostel, which is the most affo...

Ich habe mich wohl gefühlt, man kommt mit Karte in sein Zimmer, kann spontan morgens Frühstücksbuffet buchen, die Badezimmer sind ausreichend und werden regelmäßig gesäubert. Manchmal hat die Karte nicht funktioniert, was an der Rezeption wieder hergestellt werden konnte, aber etwas nervig war, wenn es öfter passiert ist.Mein Dorm hatte bei oberen Stockbetten keine Begrenzung , was ich persönlich nicht sehr mag, die Bettlaken verrutschen schnell.
I have felt well, you come with Karte in your room, can book spontaneously breakfast buffet in the morning, the bathrooms are sufficient and are cleaned regularly. sometimes the Karte did not work, which could be restored at the reception, but something was nervous, if it happened more often.My dorm had no limit with upper Stockbetten , which I personally do not like very much, the Bettlaken slide quickly.
Great location, staff were very friendly and the hostel provides many events to get involved in. The rooftop bar was a good perk. The kitchen was quite small for the number of people staying in the hostel so could be quite busy and hard to navigate.
