El alojamiento tiene una buena ubicación cerca del centro de la ciudad, pero, no me gustó que los Lokers donde se guardan las cosas no son seguros, en el mío a pesar que se ponía el candado se abría muy fácil, un baño estaba dañado y el otro solo tenía acceso de las 10 am hasta las 10pm, son como 20 personas para un baño que no tiene acceso 24 horas. Eso es algo caótico, no lo recomiendo para nada, no volvería.
The accommodation has a good location near the city center, but, I didn't like that the Lokers where you keep things are not safe, in mine even though you put the lock on it opened very easily, one bathroom was damaged and the other only had access from 10 am to 10 pm, they are like 20 people for a bathroom that doesn't have access 24 hours.

Hostel claims to have AC it doesn’t.
The hostel has a good location and the staff is very nice. However, one bathroom for 16 people is just not enough and it was super dirty. We also had to make our bed ourselves by arrival which I think should have been done for that price in an 8 bed room…. Unfortunately we also had guests who were extremely loud in the room which is not the hostels fault but made this experience even worse.
There was always a strong smell of marihuana or some other stuff, the bathrooms people always left them horrible. The staff always very kind and welcoming but as two uni girls we didn't felt as safe.
The good part is the location and the dorm room was spacious and large The not so good, old building, tall stairs to room on 3rd floor. A small common area, little socializing, only cash payment. It was very hot, the windows were left open through the day and the ac was useless for the size of the room. The staff sent me 15 min away to a seafood restaurant when I asked directions to a pizza place in their recommended list, which I later found was right at their entrance.
The atmosphere in the room was really bad because it was way to hot. It says that there is air conditioning but they barely use it or sometimes don’t use it at all. There was mould on the ceiling in the shower and every time you did shower the water heater would make a very loud rumbling sound that would wake everyone up. The location is not that close to much around the city. Wouldn’t really recommend staying here unless you have too.
Moldy bathrooms, not a “youth hostel”
Good property all around to be fair. Great staff, real chatty and friendly.
Stayed here for 2 nights. Wasn’t the cleanest, not very social but maybe I was catching it at a bad time. It was fine for a night or two.

Alles super! Konnte leider nur eine Nacht bleiben, weil alles ausgebucht war, aber es wäre bestimmt toll gewesen, länger zu bleiben. Tolles Personal :)
I could only stay one night because everything was sold out, but it would have been great to stay longer.
I had such a restful night in the female dorm. The window is opening onto a quiet indoor garden.Everything super clean and neat. Location is perfect. I felt welcome and safe there. Definitely will choose this place again . Thank you

Moldy bathrooms, not a “youth hostel”
Excelente para quedarse en esa gran ciudad. Mateo y Laura muy serviciales y atentos para todo lo que necesitaba. Un lugar tranquilo y recomendable

Sehr freundliches Personal und Atmosphäre! Auch die Küche und Frühstück waren top! Einig in dem einen Bad war etwas viel Schimmel... Aber die bäder waren sonst sauber. Würde immer wiederkommen :)
Very friendly staff and atmosphere! also the kitchen and breakfast were top notch! some in that one bath was a bit much mold... but the beds were otherwise clean. would always come back :)

The staff is very friendly and helpful.
Loved this hostel from the athmosphere, communal space, free breakfast and kitchen. The rooms were good too, I was just unlucky with 2 snoring guys and one really loud person, but that can happen anywhere. People were cool and the vibe overall was also good!

Wir mochten die familiäre Atmosphäre im Hostel. Das Frühstück war nett, die Zimmer sauber und die Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich. Für 5€ Deposit bekommt man ein Schloss, da kleine Schlösser bei den Schließfächern nicht funktionieren. Alle Bäder außer 2 schließen allerdings um 23 Uhr, um die Nachbarn nicht zu stören.
We liked the family atmosphere in the hostel. the breakfast was nice, the rooms clean and the staff very friendly. for 5€ Deposit you get a Schloss, as small locks at the lockers do not work. all the bathrooms except 2 close however at 23h, so as not to disturb the neighbors.

Die Küche war ehere dreckig und auch in der Dusche gab es auch die ein oder anderen Macken. Das Personal war jedoch sehr lieb und die Leute dort sehr sozial, sodass die Atmosphäre entspannt war. Von dem Hostel aus konnte man überall zu Fuß hinlaufen. Wenn man ein soziales Hostel will in der Nähe des Zentrums kann ich das Home Genua Hostel sehr empfehlen.
The kitchen was very dirty and there were also some Macken in the shower too. however the staff was very nice and the people there were very social, so the atmosphere was relaxed. from the hostel you could walk everywhere. if you want a social hostel near the center I can highly recommend the Home Genua Hostel.

The property was in a nice Victorian looking building, nestled very central to Bologna. It felt very homely like the description however not a lot of activities happening between the other guests, which is in my opinion what hostel life is all about. Overall a nice place and within walking distance from the centre of Genoa

Stayed for a couple of nights to recover from travel sickness and do a day trip to the Cinque Terre. Didn’t do much in Genoa so can’t speak to it but I HIGHLY recommend a trip to the Cinque Terre. Especially the Manarola and Vernazza towns!
