Meson Amelia

I didn't receive the breakfast that was included in my booking per Hostelworld confirmation. Staff at the hotsel insisted that I can have coffee or tea for free but if I wanted the full breakst I would have to pay extra 200 pesos per day. I contacted Hostelworld for help; when the hostel staff heard from Hostelworld, he got upset at me and acted difficult. When I asked to leave my suitcase for 2 hours after checkout (something most hostels do for free), the staff said I have to pay 100 pesos.

En general está bien. Falta que expliquen desde el principio cosas como la regadera (fue un caso la primera noche por qué no salía agua caliente y durante toda la estadía estuvo goteando. Y cuando pregunté por el agua y explique que nunca salió , se pusieron a la defensiva. Ya no me dieron ganas de preguntar nada.

Cute B&B in San Miguel de Allende, with two small dorms. Sam, the owner, is very kind and helpful. The place is very clean and has everything needed. It's definitely not a backpacker place (San Miguel de Allende is more a retirement town), so it was hard to meet any people.

Really lovely bnb/ hostel. It was very quiet when I visited, I was the only person in my dorm - but this was great for me. The location is lovely, not far to walk to the main square but also a beautiful neighborhood to explore. Very clean and the staff were lovely, would definitely recommend!

Sehr sauberes Haus, aber eher Hotel als Hostel, zu meiner Zeit gab es kaum Alleinreisende im Dorm. Sehr gutes Frühstück, sehr freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal. Ein paar kleine Sachen könnten verbessert werden. Z Bsp. Andere Betten in den Dorms ( hatte unteres Bett und konnte nicht sitzen weil es so niedrig war, sehr beklemmend) und etwas mehr Ablagen für Kleidung wären gut. Leider fehlten Spinde im Zimmer aber es gab auf dem Flur die Möglichkeit etwas einzuschließen.

Beds were fairly comfy and room was clean. It was pretty quiet when we were there, not much of a hostel atmosphere but it was kind of nice to have some quiet. There are no lockers in the rooms but there are lockers in the common area for valuables. The food for breakfast was AMAZING and the service from the staff was great. Gracias!

I had a really good time at Meson Amelia. Sam, Fer, Sofi are very sweet and very helpful. The food was good and diverse for breakfast. The location is very central, within 10 mins you are in the main square. Only good things to say about them. Thank you Sam :)

The staff is extremely friendly and the space is quite nice. We enjoyed the breakfasts and it was nice to relax in the sun on the roof! I liked that the hostel is close to town, but not right in the center. Made for peaceful mornings and nights. We may have been there at a weird time (Wed-Sat), but it was pretty quiet. No interactions with other guests, but I imagine it’s fun when it’s busier. Nice stay overall, thanks to the staff!

This was such a great place to stay while we were in San Miguel de Allende. The staff were all so lovely and helpful, and the location was super convenient to the historic centre, with an amazing little bakery just around the corner. Beds were super comfy, too!

ベッドが2つのシェアルームでしたが、誰も来ず、1人で使えてラッキーでした。シャワーは別のシェアルームのものを使うということでしたので、他の人の部屋に入るのは少し気が引けましたが、ちょうど誰もいなかったのでよかったです。1泊だけでしたのでできませんでしたが、チェックアウトの時に料理教室をやっていて楽しそうでした。

My stay was good. Sam, the owner, is very kind, I forgot my EarPods and he helped me to get it back into Mexico city. The bed is very comfortable, the shower is fine and you get a free towel to use.

L’hôtel Meson Amelia est un endroit vraiment agréable ! Les chambres sont propres, la déco est soignée, pleine de charme mais reste mexicaine. Sam est un hôte accueillant et toujours à l’écoute. Un super séjour, je recommande sans hésiter !

Tolle Unterkunft etwas außerhalb vom Zentrum. Habe mich hier rundum wohl gefühlt. Betten sind sehr bequem und das Hotel ist super sauber. Sam ist super nett und bereitet einem auf Wunsch sogar ein kleines kostenloses Frühstück. Das Zentrum ist etwa 10 Minuten Fußweg entfernt. Die Nachbarschaft ist ruhig und sicher. Wlan ist in Ordnung .

The location for me was ideal because it was less than 10 minutes away walking from the Centro. This means that it wasn’t crowded nor noisy and filled with tourists. The side street is tranquil and calm, almost residential. I’m glad I got breakfast included because it’s $200mxn…that’s expensive when you realize how cheap food is in SMA. I had the room to myself which was awesome. More boutique hotel vibe than broke backpacker youth hostel.

Beautiful place! Great rooftop, nice patio. The owner Sam is very friendly and makes really good breakfast. He offers a small variety, so you can choose a different one each day. The lady's dorm is small with a nice bathroom. Towels could be a little thicker, but that's complaining on a high level. Beds are comfortable. Quiet st night, but might need earplugs in the morning because you hear people having breakfast in the patio.

Better than expected. Right in the main town area. I would definitely return! 😍

Great hostel. Great location. The hostel is near the city center. My stay was very quiet. There were no other travelers other than myself during my visit.

Bonne option au calme à l’extrémité du centre (permet de passer facilement par le centre culturel La Aurora en retour de visite, sympa). Bon petit déjeuner cuisiné (un vrai plat!), et rooftop sympa.

Amazing stay at Meson Amelia, a highlight of my trip to Mexico. Sam recommended great activities and was an amazing cook, I would recommend to anyone travelling to San Miguel to stay here.

Es un lugar muy lindo y tranquilo, me sentí como en casa. Sam es un ser humano maravilloso e hizo que mi instancia fuera más que perfecta
