Mirador Del Parque Tayrona Hostel

- We got asked for a prepayment by transfer of 50℅ COP 107000 but then after our stay we got charged the whole amount COP 216480 🤬🤬 through booking. They are totally silent with booking customer service so we can't get a refund. We didn't even stay 2 nights bc the conditions were so bad. They were bird shits on the beddings, rusty marks on the towels. There was a leak in the bedroom. The bedroom didn't look at all like the bedroom we were supposed to have. It was dirty, not safe with easy communication between the rooms in the caban. The door was not closing letting insects and lizards in. Also they cut the electricity during the day, and there's no wifi. The mattresses were dead, my back was touching the hard wood. You can find way better just beside this hotel.

- This hotel is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life. It was dirty, I found cockroaches in the bed!! The bed collapsed, the service so poor. Everything wrong!! All the bedrooms are in the same conditions, so disgusting. I wouldn't recommend to stay here. Please don't go there! Avoid this place, the pictures don't correspond to the real situation.

- La propiedad me resultó demasiado precaria. Entiendo que está dentro de un parque nacional y que todo iba a ser básico, sin embargo está propiedad está más en el ámbito del abandono. Todo el terreno tenía mucho olor a cloaca (sobretodo nuestra habitación, fue realmente desagradable). Las ventanas no tenían vidrio, solamente tela mosquitera. Eso no sería tan malo ya que el clima siempre fue agradable, sin embargo la primera noche algunos empleados (o eso entendimos que eran) se enborracharon y pelearon a los gritos, no nos dejaron dormir toda la noche. Podría enumerar varios detalles más pero solo diré que desde que uno ingresa al terreno de las cabañas y sobretodo la cabaña en sí nota una total decadencia y ausencia de trabajo alguno para cuidar la propiedad. Está prácticamente abandonado, recomendaría evitarla realmente.

+ The hostals redeeming feature was its location within the park, meaning we could wake up early and begin hikes before the park opened. Mosquito net was provided which is needed in this area.

- The rooms had gaps in the walls and ceiling which meant animals could enter the room. As a result there was animal faeces everywhere including on the bed. There was a power cut in the evening which caused the rooms to be in complete darkness and fans didn’t work in extreme heat. Whilst this isn’t the owners fault, we noticed that they had battery/solar operated lights in their area of the property and so these could be provided for guests too. Very steep hills to get to the rooms and some sections didn’t have handrails. When it rained this became extremely dangerous.

- The girls in the kitchen had a bad attitude, the rest of the staff were very good and very friendly. The food wasn't very good.

- accueil pas top impossible de diner sur place la chambre réservée n'était pas celle attribuée en arrivant grande promiscuité avec les voisins moustiquaire trouée et chambre impossible a fermer de l'intérieur

+ The staff is friendly, the view is really great. The food is good. The review's about the fact that it is a long walk to get there are stupid, it's called Mirador. We had electricity and water all the time.

- The pictures are not the reallity. The first night we had a foot and a half long millipede IN the room. The bug's have a lot of way to get in and the net for the bed is full of holes. I had four tic's in my hair after the first night. It's not close from the beach at all like the pictures are showing. I would definitly recommend you to stay outside of the Tayrona parc, it's super expensive in the parc if you don't want something like we had. The roof is actually a tarp that is not tight enough so it's hard to sleep when the wind's blowing. The toilet for women is missing the seet so get ready to squat. I am truly sorry to right a review like that because the staff are doing what they can with what they have, but do not go there.

+ Lo mejor es la comida y la atención de Andrés. Super amable y atento a todo. Y él no lo sabe pero es un gran chef. Los baños estaban increiblemente limpios. Las vistas increibles desde la habitación.

- Cuando se entregan las habitaciones, podrían informar un poco mas de las instalaciones, donde están los baños, horarios de desayuno y horarios para pedir la cena.

+ L’accueil de Andrès était très chaleureux, serviable et amicale. La vue la proximité des lieux d’intérêts plage et randonnées dans le parc.

- Les matelas sont très abîmés et n’offrent aucun support pour le dos. Rien pour verrouiller la porte de l’intérieur. Manque de crochets ou rangement pour nos vêtements .

+ The cabin was comfortable and had a nice breeze to counter the humidity. Andres, the main manager/staff, was super helpful and personable— he clearly cared we had a good experience and made breakfast with love. There’s a good view of the mountains and some of the surrounding jungle of the park. It’s about 1.5km from the entrance and 3km to the nearest swimmable beach.

+ Phenomenal customer service, Andrés is far and away the most generous, kind, altruistic host I've ever encountered and I cannot thank him enough for all his help and kindness. The beds are comfortable, it has everything you need and the view is sensational.

- El desayuno en los primeros días se acompañaba de una fruta pero los últimos días dejaron de hacerlo!

+ Un endroit génial pour dormir dans la forêt tropicale humide de tayrona. Le lieu parfait pour se réveiller et observer des oiseaux et des singes. (Nous avons vu des Titi cabeciblanco, singes hurleur, ara bleu et beaucoup plus.) Un grand merci au personnel super gentil. Nous avons très bien mangé aussi.

+ Hôtel au milieu du parc avec une superbe vue sur la forêt. 30 minutes à pied de l'entrée du parc (il y a des navettes payantes très régulièrement) Entre 50 minutes et 1 heure à pied de la première plage (ou prendre la navette) Il y a le strict minimum, et c'est ce qu'on recherche pour le prix, pas de fenêtre mais un filet. Pas de carrelage mais du béton. Il y a simplement un lit Douches et toilettes communes à l'extérieur du bâtiment (pas d'eau chaude) Oeufs, arepas, fruits au petit dej Restaurant à l'hôtel

- Wifi très faible et pas présent dans les chambres mais seulement à la réception de l'hôtel Chambre très rustique. La porte ne se ferme pas de l'intérieur. Pas beaucoup de rangement pour les affaires. Ne pas s'attendre au confort d'un hôtel, mais le lit est bien. On entend parfaitement les chambres voisines étant donné que la cloison ne va pas jusqu'au plafond

- Las condiciones de aseo de las almohadas, tenían un olor feo y poco agradable, el baño no tenía puerta lo cual hacía que fuera incómodo para entrar, la habitación tenía un olor feo como a cañería todo el momento y el desayuno no tenía variedad
