Casa Daikiri

Location was good and the staff were nice, although at some point they’re gone but responsive on WhatsApp. The place wasn’t really clean and all smelt a bit damp - I think it was still recovering from the rain during the hurricane. We found another place for the same price / cheaper which was tonnes better and felt fancier too. So not sure about the value for money and there was 0 vibe with guests / social aspect.

Overall a disappointing experience :( - security was bad, no locks on dorm doors so anyone in the hostel can walk into your room and people kept leaving the front door unlocked - no onsite staff between 4pm and 10am, just a volunteer who may not even be there. out of hours manager was helpful over text but wasn't in the country - not every bed had charging access - 30% off if you book direct - basically don't book on hostelworld you get overcharged - generally quite dirty (pool, beds, bathr...

Nice pool and kitchen area. The WiFi didn’t reach my dorm room. And management made me pay $100 pesos to use the facilities between checking out and leaving for my flight :/ other hostels are more chill about this…

Good place to stay, but the room is too bright in the morning.

Very aesthetic & pool is nice but facilities were quite basic - had been hurricane so some damage from that. No lock on bedroom door & only small lockers. No privacy curtains on beds. Showers are solar run so cold when not sunny. Spacious room with en-suite. Owner was very helpful, though reception hours very limited. Location was good for Zicatela beach and for some nice coffee/brunch spots. Probably wouldn’t re-stay :(

Overall had a good stay. The staff is super friendly and helpful. AC in the bedrooms, easy to use the kitchen. I found the hostel a bit too quiet if you’re a solo traveller.

We stayed in the all female dorm. The room was spacious and the hostel itself was chill so kinda felt like we had a mini Airbnb. The wifi barely worked and we mentioned it a couple of times but there wasn’t really any acknowledgment about it. So we spent most of our stay there without wifi, having to go to a cafe etc to get connection. Small hostel, nice pool, kitchen and lounge spaces, good facilities overall. The lockers were big lockers but only about 6-8" tall so I had to unpack my bags completely to fit them in there. The dorm room was warm for my liking, it had AC but it was set to 26C/79F so it really didn't cool down until 3-4am in the morning. Bathroom and shower is in the dorm room as well.

Super hostel um die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das einige Manko ist, keine Ablage wenn du oben im Bett schläfst sowie kein Licht und Steckdosen. Ansonsten alles super!

We had a private room and one dorm room. Private was very spacious, clean and Nice. Swimming pool is a nice plus. Hostel itself for the dorms is not very social, and a bit noisy. Staff was not really nice and helpfull…

I truly loved my stay at Casa Daikiri. Really good vibes, will definitely come again.

Está súper bien ubicada. a unas cuadras de los mejores bara y clubs nocturnos. Te ahorras mucho en taxis. solo le faltaría que promuevan más actividades para socializar dentro del hostal y sería perfecto.

On a passé un séjour incroyable, durant 6 nuits. L’endroit est sublime, le personnel de l’hostel est authentique et tellement accueillant ! L’endroit est très bien entretenu et nous avons apprécier la cuisine extérieure parfaitement équipée pour faire à manger. Je recommande 100% cet endroit pour faire des rencontres et pour se reposer :)

one of my favourite hostels in mexico! the staff and volunteers are very kind and helpful, comfortable beds and clean property with a warm cozy environment to chill alone or socialize and only a two minute walk from the beach 🌞🌞

Petit havre de paix à Zicatela. Encore mieux que sur les photos, le rooftop nous a offert nos meilleurs sunset. On devait rester 2 nuits et on a prolongé tellement c’était bien. Les dortoirs sont niquels, bonne intimité. La cuisine est bien équipée. La piscine et les lieux communs permettent de passer du bon temps dans l’auberge :) Le staff est cool et arrangeant

So sad that I only stayed one night here, because I really loved it! The hostel is super nice, framed by trees and plants, several cozy areas to chill and relax. The vibe is social but not party (something that was perfect for me!), and everything is really close by. Plus: you even get towels if you don’t carry any. Heart of the place is manager Angela who made sure that everyone was having their best time. Would really recommend!

Es ist eher eine große WG als ein Hostel – perfekt für jemanden, der nicht auf Party-Hostels steht. Der Pool und das ganze Anwesen waren sehr sauber. Der Herd ist schon ein bisschen heruntergekommen und daher etwas schwierig anzumachen, aber alles machbar. Komme gerne wieder.

10/10, would highly recommend. Chill but social vibes in hostel with a good location near food & surf @ zicatela

El dorm de 5 personas estuvo super agusto, las camas y las sabanas excelentes, atmosfera muy limpia y fresca por el AC, la alberca super agusto. ningun inconveniente! todos super amables

Excelente ubicación y un lugar muy tranquilo. Lindo, a muy buen precio. La habitación de 5 personas es muy espaciosa y está muy bien. Ojo - la recepción no siempre está disponible, solo de 10am-4pm (y luego se tardan horas en contestar por whatsapp). En nuestra estadía habían 2 recepcionistas, una muy educada y amable y otra que parece no gustarle su trabajo ni tener que atender huéspedes. Nos quedamos en una habitación para dos y estuvo genial. Teníamos todo lo necesario para prepararnos algo de comer. Pudimos rentar una moto en el alojamiento pero lo mejor de todo fueron los raritos que pasamos en la piscina. El ambiente de casa Daikiri fue genial y el servicio que nos prestaron fue super cálido, buena onda y atento. Muchas gracias!
