Abigails Hostel

Had to checkout early due to finding bed bugs. Had to wash all my clothes and waste a day and more money with new accommodation and dry cleaning. Security wise its safe with many keycard locked doors on the way to the room. There is only 2 toilets on the groundfloor then you and limited to only the shower and toilet in your room with all your room mates. Atmosphere is next to none if you're a younder person looking to socialise or make friends. Location is central though, in the heart of town.

They provide a fitted sheet, a pillowcase, and a duvet cover. You have to make the bed, including putting the duvet cover on the duvet, and then you have to strip your bed and return the linens when you check out. It was all stained. However, there were no bed bugs. If it were €10/night that would be fine, but it’s too expensive to make your customers do that. Things were also just not very clean.

Im ersten Zimmer hatten wir Tiere unter dem Kopfkissen (vermutlich Bettwanzen). Wir konnten aber Probleme das Zimmer wechseln.

Do not stay here. We were supposed to stay for 4 nights but after getting into the room decided to see if we could leave after the first night (because we had gotten in from our flight around midnight we were too tired to leave that night). The room was hot (no AC or fans, roommates wouldn’t open the window), super loud from the street, and dirty with water all over the bathroom and leaking out of the shower. The front desk guy that night was super understanding and nice and said we could check out the next morning and get the next 3 nights refunded, so we booked another stay nearby and planned to leave in the morning. However, when the next morning we went down to check out the girl with curly brown hair went back on what we were told by the night staff and said we actually couldn’t get our next 3 nights refunded. I told her about our conversation with the guy before and that we had already booked another stay because we thought we could get a refund and she rudely said “well I never said you could get a refund” and said I could talk to the manager if I want. I said okay, then she told me there was no manager working so I had to email. She was the rudest person we’ve met here and I don’t know how she got a job working a front desk. We are still working to resolve the issue. Also woke up with bug bites on my leg so looks like there might have been bed bugs too Location is the only good thing about this place
