The Fort Hostel

This was a nice hostel, the staff were lovely and the vibe was certainly unique being a treehouse in the jungle. The location isn’t great though, nothing is in walking distance and it’s very very far away from any sort of restaurant or supermarket. The vibe wasn’t fab as a solo traveller I was the only guest in the entire hostel the first two nights which was lonely. The instructions they gave me on how to get there by bus were also incorrect and I had to walk about 1km alone in the dark, ...

Loved this hostel! The staff are amazing and have helped to created such a homely and relaxed space. Would definitely return and recommend this hostel to anyone coming to Colombia. The beds are comfy and the hostel itself is clean - there are lots of places to hang out and enjoy the views. The hostel is up a hill which is about a 10 minute walk which may be difficult depending on how fit you are/ how much luggage you have. One of my favourite hostels for having a much needed reset!

Really cool place and incredibly gracious hosts. Owners are really chilled and have a really cool bar with great cocktails. No restaurant but can buy food and cook in the kitchen. There isn’t very much to do once you’re there but perfect if you just want to kick back in a hammock for a few days

We had an amazing time at The Fort. The place is clean and beautifully designed, comfy beds which were made every day and the bar had some amazing cocktails! There’s not much in terms of shops close by so definitely stock up on food to cook with before you come. Although the shop on site does have lots of bits to make a meal which we took full advantage of. Would definitely recommend!

When I arrived, the hostel said that my booking for the second night didn’t go through because of an error on the website’s part. This had never happened to me before in over 30 countries so I thought it was weird. Their booking tool didn’t work on their own website, so I was skeptical of this. So it was a bit annoying to be told that the accommodation could only be for 1 night instead of 2 and have to spend a couple hours changing plans, only to be told the next day that they did indeed m...

The hostal is nice to visit for max two days. There arn't many places to relax in the hostal and it's pretty quiet there in the evenings. There are also a lot of mosquitos and no where to hide from them. It's up a long steep hill to get to so leaving and returning to the hostal is a bit of a mission. Not sure I would choose to go there again.

10/10, no doubt, SUCH a nice place, kept extending, kept loving it. The kitchen is so nice, has everything you need. The staff are all amazing. Dorms and beds beautiful and comfy. Easy to go by bus to the towns nearby.

Such lovely hospitality in a beautiful location, nicest hostel dorm I’ve ever stayed in, breakfast was delicious and I missed out on a family dinner but it sounded great. Really chill and home-y vibe :)

It’s in the middle of the jungle in a beautiful location. Which is really nice, but expect to have some basic facilities. The hostel is really clean though and the kitchen is really nice. The staff is trying their best to create a social atmosphere and they’re all very friendly. Definitely recommend it you’re looking for a social hostel to relax!

The area is beautiful, the cocktails are good provided one of the bartenders is on site (2 out of 4 nights for us). Staff are friendly and the atmosphere is nice, not partyish but still social. The kitchen was good and had lots of utensils. The staff were really friendly and we liked the double bunk bed option. My only real complaint is there is only bathroom for a dorm of 10 people, shower sink and toilet all in one room, there was often a big line for the bathroom espically in the mornings.

Really magic place, Guillaume is a great host. Perfect way to reconnect with nature!

Helemaal top! Een van mooiste hostel waar tot nu toe heb gezeten. Alles is schoon en goed verzorgd, eten is top geregeld, goede bar/cocktails, en uitzicht ook top. Aanrader

By far the best hostel I have had the pleasure of staying in. Felt at home the moment I got there, Dani and Guilliam were so warm and welcoming, and Guilliam has curated some of the best cocktails I’ve ever tasted. I'm genuinely so appreciative of my stay here; I booked just one night, and carried on extending. It's in the most gorgeous location, and waking up and spending the days here is so tranquil; its also so easy to catch buses to Santa Marta, Palomino, Tayrona from here. The staff and volunteers were so kind and friendly, without being overbearing - especially as I was at a lower moment in my travels! The rooms and kitchen are ridiculously nice, and some of the best I've ever stayed in.

Great hostel, sooo much space, nice common area, really clean bathroom, best kitchen I’ve seen in the last 9 months of travelling, surrounded by nature! I had a lovely stay. Only downside is the hill you have to climb (with all your groceries you need for cooking)

Amazing Hostel ! The dorms are very clean and have amazing views of the jungle. The kitchen is very spacious and well equipped. The fort also serves the best cocktails 😊
