Guni Guni Hostel

the AC broke during the night and it was so so so hot in the room. it was communicated to staff who sorted out a fan but it wasn’t enough to fix the problem. the “en-suite” was an uncomfortably tiny shower and toilet and a sink in the room where everyone is sleeping. the restaurant also wouldn’t serve us any food after a flight claiming they shut at 10:30 even though it wasn’t 10:30 yet. disappointing stay

It’s all about getting as much money out of the travellers as somehow possible. Stuff is not helpful at all and only tries to sell you tours instead of supporting you you with anything you ask for! Dorms are cold and you only get a thin blanket, if you want to have an additional one you get charged. Literally one of the worst hostels I ever stayed in. There are so many nice homestays in the area, I really regt I came to Guni guni…

Turned up to this hostel last week after having booked on the website a week in advance. I was told only upon arrival that it was under construction and not open. As a female solo traveller, this was not a great experience. I then had to try multiple other hostels and hotels, none of which had any availability at such short notice. Eventually I found a hotel with space but had to pay a ridiculous amount. Not impressed that my booking was able to go through and no one informed me that the hostel ...

Bed was dirty, towel looked very old and very worn out, would definitely suggest replacing. Felt very dirty staying here, also location isn’t great but the whole of Puerto Princessa is pretty rough so not sure there is a good location where you would want to stay. Would suggest skipping this location completely from your trip if possible.

The hostel is okay, a little on the smaller side. It has a tv at Netflix in the reception which is nice. But it has an interesting array of people, with randoms having food in the restaurant. The Food is good. I stayed one night here max and it was more than enough.

In den Dorms laut wegen dem Restaurant. Jeder könnte theoretisch in den Dorm. Restaurant hat hohe Preise und dafür kleine Portionen …Würde dort nicht nochmal essen. Hostel für eine Nacht ok

Fijn dat er een goed restaurant bij het hostel zat, verder niet heel veel te doen in de omgeving van het hostel. Bedden waren prima, lobby had veel spellen om te spelen

A nice stay, the bed is comfy but the WiFi doesn’t work in the room and there’s no service so you’re completely cut out unless you go outside

I had a great stay at Guni Guni. The staff were wonderful, shout out to Analie, who helped me sort out an issue with a boat tour company. The rooms and facilities were clean, and the air conditioning in my female dorm room was very good. I stayed one night on Good Friday, so the hostel and Puerto Princesa were very quiet, so I just chilled.

Really great common spaces, super nice restaurant/bar out front which was so convenient. Not much around the hostel honestly, especially at night. Staff were very kind. Wasn’t a massive fan of my room, I wasn’t aware that one of the female rooms had no windows and I get a bit claustrophobic,so if you do too just a heads up there’s a possibility for it. Guni Guni was a great stay. The beds were spacious and clean, there were also two pillows and a towel provided for each guest. The Bistro also was great, specifically the fresh juices. Our only issue was that the door to enter the room did not have a key meaning you were not able to lock from the outside. There are lockers provided with keys for your bags however we were informed on check in that one of our lockers did not have a key so we had to leave bags out.

This is a lovely hostel, staff are very friendly and helpful, it’s a shame it’s a bit of a way out of town. Had to ask for toilet paper top ups a few times. Bed ok. Bistro out the front did amazing food!

I had an amazing stay! The staff was extremely friendly and super helpful with everything. The first night I stayed in the female dorm and it was really nice, comfy and clean! The second night I moved rooms and the room was also nice but not as nice as the female dorm. Facilities were good but I didn’t understand whether there was no hot water or it was just me who couldn’t figure it out. Also, it is nice and quiet and the outside area is gorgeous! Definitely recommend

Hostel was good for a short stay either before or after the airport but it’s not sociable and the staff are not interested in running a hostel, they were not sociable and I had to ask multiple times for the toilets to be cleaned/ more toilet roll as they didn’t go into it for the 2 days I was there in a dorm of 12 people!

A fantastic hostel! We stayed here for one night, 10 minutes from the airport, a great connected restaurant where we ate dinner and breakfast. A nice but small social area. Very clean and great en-suite with hot water. The staff are super friendly and can help arrange transport/other activities. Would recommend!

Matelas et oreiller confortable, rideau, prise, lumière dans petit lit "cabine"nickel, lockers, fontaine à eau, staff agréable.

The hostel was alright, nice rooms and beds. Not really any atmosphere or any places to be social for the guests, as the dining area is a pretty popular restaurant with lots of costumers

Was good for a one night stay, rooms were clean and food at the hostel was great, not very social vibe but we stayed for one night so i’m sure it might be different if you stayed more!

I had an amazing stay at Mad Monkey Nacpan Beach. The location is unreal — right on one of the most beautiful beaches in the Philippines. Female dorm was soooo nice and they had a nice area to chill. Not much atmosphere but was perfect for a quiet night before a flight!
