A Plus Hotel Lipe

El hostel es muy basico y la puntuacion de la app esta muy por enncima, es un hostel de 4 o 5 puntos maximo sobre 10. Con ese puntaje, y el precio, si que estaria ok.

I usually don‘t write reviews but I feel like this time I have to. I booked 4 nights but I left after my frist night, there was mold everywhere! (in the room, showers etc.) The room smelled really humid and bad and it gets very cold at night due to the aircon.

J’AI DÉTESTÉ CET ÉTABLISSEMENT. Le personnel était très accueillant et gentil mais on avait l’impression de dormir dans une cave. TOUT était moisi et ça sentait très fort l’humidité ! Même nos affaires à l’intérieur des casiers sentaient l’humidité quand nous sommes parties nous avons du tout relaver. A partir de 15h nous n’avions plus accès à la fontaine à eau… pourquoi ??? JE DÉCONSEILLE TOTALEMENT CE LIEU même pour faire des économies.

Rooms were really nice, pretty clean and capsule beds were comfy with lots of space and lockers right next to the bed. Bathroom had quite a lot of bugs but can’t really complain on an island it’s sort of to be expected. Staff were helpful at check in. Not the most secure, there is no door to the corridor of the rooms and bedroom doors don’t lock automatically so if someone doesn’t lock it anyone could wander into your room. Lots of other friendly backpackers but nothing going on socially

Only good thing was that the bathrooms were clean.

Sehr einfach. Man hält sich ungern im Zimmer auf, geschweige denn in der Social Area. Badezimmer oft schmutzig, selten Toilettenpapier. Direkt an der Walking Street gelegen.

Great location and welcoming staff. Was warmly welcomed by a nice man that helped us checkin and gave us coconut water and banana cake for snack, then he politely showed us the room. The facility was nice, but unfortunatly we needed to check out within one hour. The room smelled moldy and the bed sheets almost felt damp. The showers where filled with mosquitos. Due to my allergy we couldnt stay, it smelled to moldy. But amazing staff helped us check out and refounded. Much love to you

I went in high season so price was really high. Didn’t really feel it was worth the price you pay. Toilets were dirty and water overflowing whenever you flushed. Rooms were not always locked so i didn’t feel my belongings were safe. No social atmosphere either.

The hostel is located in such an ideal central location in Koh Lipe just off walking street was perfect. There is no chill area per se or kitchen so that slightly affected the overall score just to have somewhere to relax and to meet people if solo. I was with a friend so was lucky it didn’t matter but no a social place to meet people. The staff were lovely and the rooms were spotless with huge lockers with a lock provided which was ideal. The air con was on all day too.

Not social but beds were comfortable and it was clean.

Super bien placé. Chambre propre et pratique. Staff adorable. Mais pas dutout social, rien de proposé et rien pour rencontrer du monde.

Great location just off walking street and a 5 minute walk from the main pier. Being a hotel there’s not really much of a social vibe and no real shared common area (apart from a room downstairs) so might not be the best for solo travellers. Overall it was fine, maybe a bit expensive compared to other hostels in the area but it was still a great base to use to explore Koh Lipe.

Great place! Location is amazing and place is clean and nice. Way too cold in the rooms and free water is undrinkable. Good place makes up for it.

Pros: bed is comfortable, location is amazing (on walking street), it has a restaurant attached that serves all day and guests get a discount for, staff were friendly Cons: no full length mirror, bathrooms quite dirty (dead flies everywhere, mould in showers), 2/3 bathroom taps didn’t work (1 tap for the whole hostel), bedrooms had no space (very claustrophobic), bedroom doors didn’t automatically lock and led to the outside so anyone could come in if somebody didn’t lock it

Basic hostel with great location and good hygiene but not social at all . If you’re a solo traveler and looking for socialization then it’s the one for you .

Only good thing was that the bathrooms were clean.

The hostel is open for any person to walk in and the doors dont shut - the air con was terrible but the stay was fine for 2 days

die lage ist großartig die zimmer sind sehr sauber und man hat viel platz um sich zurückzuziehen es ist kein hostel in dem man besonders viel mit anderen zu tun hat es gibt aber einen gemeinschaftsraum leider kann man nur kalt duschen und die bäder hätten manchmal noch etwas sauberer sein können alles aber bezogen auf hohe ansprüche insgesamt waren wir mehr als zufrieden und würden immer wieder kommen

Would start again. rooms are set up great and comfy beds. not much of a common area/social hostel. the staff were friendly upon arrival with free snacks. nice and clean

Staff are very friendly but the hostel itself is not so much. Not a great common area! And the showers are literally infested with mosquitos

Nice hostel, comfy beds and the stairs leading up to top bunks was a nice touch. Not very social but think it is the same for every hostel in Koh Lipe and lots of mosquitos.

For the same price I have definitely stayed at nicer hostels. I booked the female dorm initially but on arriving the room smelt and felt incredibly damp and like the toilets. After an hour or two I asked to change rooms which the staff were very accommodating about. The showers have no hot water, it’s simply an on and off tap of cold water with no ability to change the temperature. There is also lots of mosquitos as in other reviews, you need insect repellent for sleeping. But it was clean!

Had really nice dorm rooms & the bathrooms were clean and always available. Only downside were the mosquitoes everywhere, including the rooms and bathrooms
