Royal Square Hotel

Unsafe hygiene standards – we had to leave immediately We were unable to stay at this property due to the condition of the room. When we arrived, the room was visibly dirty and had a strong, unpleasant smell. The cleanliness was far below an acceptable standard for any accommodation. Surfaces, bedding, and the overall room condition made us extremely uncomfortable. More concerning, we noticed signs that made us worried there could be bed bugs. Because of this, we did not feel it was safe or hygienic to stay. We made the decision to leave and travel home early rather than risk it, which cost us an additional £250. This completely ruined our trip. At a minimum, the property urgently needs to address cleanliness and hygiene standards. I would strongly recommend others check recent reviews before booking.

Colleague found bed bugs in the bed and had to relocate to a different hotel.

I got bed bug bites whilst staying at the hotel. I emailed the hotel but received no response. Breakfast offered was a very poor standard.
