Youth Hostel Innsbruck

only good thing about this place is the breakfast, the walks are super thing and the beds are extremely creepy so you wake up to every little noise and there's awful bed bugs. this might be my first ever review normally i don't leave them because i don't care but i don't want anyone wasting their money on this. Also they only take cash...too expensive to be paying for that.

If i could give negative stars i would, the bed bugs problem is resolved, but this place feels like a prison, everything just looks kind of ugly dirty and old, also the breakfast is awfull, it is just bread, really cheap ham, cheese cornflakes and pastuerized milk, the juice is just some sort of lemonade. Only good thing is that if you are lucky you may have a good view, place is far from city centre so walking is not recomended price: 38,80 per night which is crazy compared to normal hostels, but for this town it may be one of the cheapest

Un hôtel, nous pouvons en rire de cette appellation ! Plutôt un cauchemar en béton. Juste à la vue de la façade nous pouvons déduire du bourbier dans lequel nous nous dirigeons. L'histoire pourrait facilement commencer par une description du bâtiment mais cela ne sera jamais assez pour décrire cette horreur. Jour 1 : En arrivant, nous constatons que l'emplacement du bâtiment était mauvais. Celui-ci était à côté d'une route a trois voies où le bruit qui sortait des moteurs était constant. Nous pouvions l'entendre des chambres même après minuit ! Notre découverte des chambres fait également partie du désastre. Les lits, enfin les matelas de 10cm d'épaisseur était non seulement vous vous en doutez d'un inconfort inégalé mais aussi jonché de punaises de lit ! Et oui, les personnes dans ma chambre ont presque tous eu des piqûres le premier soir ! Nous ne parlerons sûrement pas du bruit du sommier... Jour 2 : Peut-être un des seuls avantages de cette chose appelée hôtel est le petit déjeuner. Celui-ci est plutôt complet et le service est très correct. Seulement, le petit déjeuner est la seule chose mangeable, le plat du soir est affreux, peut-être qu'il faudrait arrêter de servir la mer noir en soupe... Jour 3 : L'horreur ne s'arrête pas mais se répète malheureusement. Partir n'était pas une option mais une nécessité ! Vous en conviendrez donc que ce cauchemar en béton est à fuir !

I came home with bedbugs. I had to quarantine my things and throw out my suitcase. I would never recommend and I would have to be payed to stay there ever again. Please do yourself a favour and stay well away from the Innsbruck youth hostel. Other then the hostel, the city was beautiful and I would go there again

The Innsbruck youth hostel was a complete nightmare. To begin with, the rooms smelled terrible. I could barely breathe because of the intense smell of my room. When I got there there was actual hair growing from the walls, and my friend’s rooms had hair as well. There was a blood stain right beside my friends bed, and weird stains all over the place. The second floor had no wifi and the only outlets in the room were so far from the beds which was annoying. I will be leaving an entire other review for the bedbugs issue

We went here on a school trip and it was not enjoyable. There was hair growing out of the walls which was discovered to be mycelium and worst off all bedbugs. I had to throw out my brand new large suitcase after the trip because of the bedbugs that I found in my clothes. There are better places to go.

In section B WI Fi is not reaching some rooms at all. Some beds are squeaky. Bed light would be very nice.

Ich bin enttäuscht! Ich hatte schon sehr niedrige Erwartungen, sie wurden aber dennoch untertroffen. Am ersten Abend begrüßten uns gleich ein paar Bettwanzen. Neben Müll, Insekten und schlimmen Gerüchen, begegnete uns ebenfalls ein glatzköpfiger Mann, der unser Badezimmer benutzte als wäre es sein eigenes. Ich würde diese Herberge an alle Leute empfehlen, die keine Lust mehr auf ein schönes Leben haben und die es lieben zu Leiden. Dieser Aufenthalt war unvergesslich und hat mir definitiv ein Trauma für mein restliches Leben mitgegeben. Schlaft lieber auf der Bank draußen!

Meine Erwartungen waren niedrig. Leider war die Realität noch grausamer. Trakt A war schmutzig und bot jeder Art von Insekten(Spinnen und Bettwanzen…) ein Zuhause. Eine Frage die mich bis zur Abreise beschäftigt und weiter beschäftigen wird: Warum hat das Gesundheitsamt den Laden nicht geschlossen.

Unfortunately our private room did have bed bugs, after letting reception know they immediately apologised and gave us another room which from what we could see did not have any. Breakfast was good and it is a good location, close to the tram.

I got eaten alive by bed bugs… the counter staff had little care for the matter and focused more on their times for when the counter was open and closed 🙁 I tried to speak to them when I wanted them to wash my infested stuff and got brushed off because the counter was “closed”. While I was waiting for my washing and drying (trying to resolve my bed bug problem) on checkout I was told “I’ll give you 5 minutes to get your stuff because we are closing the counter”..??? Very dissappointed and severely itchy 😳

Wir waren vom 18.8.23 auf den 19.8.23 für eine Nacht in diesem Hostel und die Nacht war furchtbar!!! Ich hatte dort mit meinem Mann und meinen zwei Kindern (3 und 2 Jahre alt) übernachtet. In der Nacht bemerkte ich Bettwanzen und nicht wenige. Ich habe kein Auge zugemacht und versucht die Wanzen von meinen Kindern fern zuhalten. Leider hat es meine Tochter stark erwischt. Sie hatte mehrere Bisse und dadurch eine allergische Reaktion in Form eines Hautausschlags. Der weitere Urlaub war durch starken Juckreiz für sie nicht mehr so schön. Außerdem haben wir in unsere Reisetasche eine Bettwanze gefunden. Wir mussten alles wegwerfen … nie wieder!!! Auf keinen Fall dort übernachten. Wir haben unser Geld immerhin zurück erstattet bekommen. Das entschädigt aber nicht mal annähernd die entstandenen Unannehmlichkeiten und Kosten für Schädlingsbekämpfung und die weggeworfenen Dinge oder den Hautausschlag meiner Tochter …

Got a room with bedbugs everywhere, found at least 5 bedbugs in my backpack after checkout and still experiencing the allergy reaction. Horrible experience

Terrible experiencia!!! Las habitaciones tienen bichos de camas (chinches), a mi y mi novio nos picaron mucho lo que genero una reacción alérgica bastante compleja. Por favor tener mucho cuidado y evitar este lugar si es posible!!!!!

Had a very horrible experience at the Hostel. There were BED BUGS in both the rooms that they have provided. Toilets were also not so clean.

BEWARE !!! The rooms/beds/bedsheets had bedbugs in them. Me and my friends got severely sick and skin issues because of this. Please be cautious.

The staff was good. The rooms were a little smaller for 6 people but you can expect that from a hostel. The kitchen was not well equipped and was in bad shape. There is no internet in rooms. ⚠️There were bed bugs in our room. So i couldnot sleep whole night and i had to spend the night in common area. ⚠️

Very dated but objectively fine, though expensive for what it is. However, I discovered after checkout this morning that I had been eaten alive by bedbugs and am now in extreme discomfort.

I was there for 2 nights and got bitten by Bed bugs which left me marks on my whole body. I had a horrible experience. I would suggest to consider before going in there.
