- Unfortunately, the Meininger Copenhagen proved to be quite inadequate in its treatment of women. In a world where there is so much talk about putting an end to all types of violence against women, Meininger showed indifference. The uncomfortable situation I experienced in a mixed-gender room was not enough to prevent them from changing my room. I am sharing this experience so that other women do not go through the embarrassing situation I went through, and despite the situation itself not receiving any support or assistance from the Meininger staff. Look for other hotels. Just because we are women does not mean we will accept inferior treatment. Meininger, update your policies, offer quality training to your employees so that in adverse situations they are prepared to give their best to guests.

- The room was very small for the price plus the washroom was in very bad condition. The water was coming out of shower drainage and it was all gross to use washroom like that. Highly disappointed. Won’t recommend to anyone.

+ The location is excellent, near central station and restaurants as well as supermarket.
- Because of no window and exhaust fan inside the toilet, it makes the toilet and the room full of smell. In fact, we don't know why the whole hotel is full of this smell of urine everywhere. This is just a hostel for youngsters, double room is terribly small, no facilities you can name of. The guest kitchen is poorly managed. We witnessed a family spent several minutes to clean their own table before they sat down, and brought their own tableware. If you're old couple like us to expect a decent hotel experience, don't go there.

- The area was so noisy we barely slept a couple of hours…even near the hotel entrance we can hear all people conversations…..try to get a room not facing the street

- I got my reservation through booking and got the room type wrong: I wanted a female only type of room but got a mixed one instead. The price and date were the same. I requested to the hostel (through booking) to change the room type twice, as I didn't feel comfortable to sleep in a mixed room. The rejected saying that my type of reservation didn't allowed that. As I read the reservation specifications it said that I could not cancel or change dates, but it didn't say anything about the room type. I know It was my mistake but it was something the could change easily as they have plenty of rooms and it was something that didn't affected the hostel at all. I could not sleep at all as I didn't feel comfortable in the same room as 5 other men. It was a MIXED room but the were only men in there. It was awful, they should at least mixed the rooms, put half women half men. I would never stay in a place like that again, they are gay friendly but they don't really care about a women who feels uncomfortable in a room full of guys.

Great location, beds very comfortable, great vibe, couple of min walk from train station.
The bed was okay and overall the stay was decent. The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner, which was probably the main downside. I did have an issue with another girl in my hostel, but the staff handled the situation really well and were very helpful, which I appreciated a lot. That made me feel much more comfortable during the rest of my stay.
Breakfast was awesome but everything else was awful. The 10 bed rooms are way too small for 10 beds. The bathroom is INSIDE the room so that means it gets cleaned only once a day and clearly not enough for 10 people to use. But worst of all, no curtains for beds. So you’re in confined space too close to other beds with no separator or privacy!

Great place / nice food for breakfast / clean and quiet, good location. Good price ! Staff is very nice as well. We will come back :)
De plek ligt vlakbij het centraal station en het is een groot pand met heel veel kamers en voor alle leeftijden.
The place is located near the central station and it is a big building with lots of rooms and for all ages.
Nice hostel in a good location but not social. I enjoyed the live music and food at the bar.
Comfy bed and clean bathroom. Nice facilities. Wish they included the luggage storage.
Amazing service and great location. Staff were very helpful and kind. Rooms were clean and well looked after. Bathrooms were large and clean, shower pressure was quite low however that was expected for the size of the hostel. Great location to the train station and the town itself.
Great location to the central station and sites. Common area, kitchen and relaxed bar area. Rooms very clean and large, lockers in each room and also paid storage for before or after checking/out.
+ Elegimos la opción de cuarto privado con baño privado. La habitación era súper amplia y cómoda. Estaba como separada del resto del hotel y había que hacer 50 mts hasta el resto del hotel donde estaba en lavadero, la cocina compartida, un lugar para ver tele y también una zona de cafetería y cervecería. Era mejor de lo que esperábamos. La ubicación estaba súper céntrica

Super clean and comfy beds, very helpful staff. Definitely more of a family vibe type place, so maybe look elsewhere if you're wanting that super "young person" type experience. Otherwise totally recommend.
