Khunluang Hostel

It's a nice hostel but also not really a hostel bc is one of the least social places i have ever been to

The hostel is really clean, modern and confortable. Horever, there is no social atmosphere at all and there would be ways to facilate it: having commun space to chat, some social events, organised tours, etc. Also, it would have been great to have a filtered water dispenser and a fridge to store food.

This hostel was just OK. While the design is really nice, there were some important things missing for me. The first thing, which is a big one for me, there is no filtered water jug available. There is only 2 very small vases of water for the entire hostel to use after the cafe closes. It’s barely enough to fill one bottle. The hostel is connected to a sleepy coffee shop and there isn’t really a place to lounge. It’s a nice hostel if you’re looking to catch up on sleep, it’s not social...

Really liked the hostel and it is very central so almost everything in the old city is walkable. Downside there is only one bathroom for men and women each with two toilets and showers. Can get crowed at peak times. No huge common spaces but they make the best of the given space.

Lovely clean hostel however not social at all. There is a cafe attached which during the day the public can access the stairs to the rooms or the room itself if you’re on the ground floor. There is signs saying guest only. As there is no bar and the cafe is closed at night there isn’t really anywhere to socialise. There is a table upstairs but it’s just a table. Brilliant location but not great if you’re a solo traveler wanting to meet people.

This hostel is not social at all. It is kept clean, but the rooms are quite crammed. I only stayed for a quick overnight which was perfect for in-transit, but I wouldn’t recommend for staying here to explore the city and make friends.

Goed, schoon hostel. Ligt op een goede locatie in Chiang Mai. Is alleen niet echt een sociaal hostel maar dat wist ik al van te voren. Deed qua luxe denken aan een hotel.

Gorgeous hostel. The beds were comfy and loved that you had a mirror, the showers were beautiful (wish that it had an extra hook to hang bits on). The location was perfect, right in the old town and walkable to everything, as you step out on Sunday you are right in the market. It’s not a social hostel, people just kept to themselves.

Felt like a hotel, in good ways (nice bathroom, very clean, much privacy…) and bad ways (no social atmosphere). I loved this area of Chiang Mai!! Stay here if you want to have a place to sleep.

So clean and very quiet as well ! There was someone to be there and clean every morning

the staff were very kind and accommodating, even offering tours of the area and help with Songkran! the beds were very large and comfortable, the shower was great and the rooms were nice and cold! but the best part was definitely June the cat!

Ideally located, modern and clean, very comfortable beds!

The hostel sits above a lovely coffee shop with a resident cat. The dorms were great, probably the best I’ve stayed in, in terms of comfort. The beds were bigger than a standard single and very comfortable. The bathrooms were always clean.

Bestes Hotel in Chiang Mai!

Is one of my favourite hostels in Thailand. I absolutely loved it and the staff are so nice and the hostel is so beautiful. I also loved the location and the coffee shop highly highly recommend

Really nice wee place

Hab mich hier super wohl gefühlt. Die Betten sind bequem und echt durchdacht mit Handtuchalter und Speigelschrank. Lage top, Bad sauber und hübsch. Die Mitarbeitenden sind sehr hilfsbereit und freundlich. Sehr gerne wieder!

I loved my stay at Khun Luang hostel. I would definitely recommend it. The hostel has nice aesthetics and an amazing location. The staff is also very friendly. As for the social part, I think that may depend a bit on “luck” as for the people staying there. It was not a super social hostel but I still made a really great group of friends there right away!

In meinen Augen das beste Hostel in Chiang Mai. Ich habe drei mal verlängert und habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt. Betten sehr komfortabel und sauber. Bäder werden mehrmals täglich gereinigt. Ich kann es nur empfehlen!

Super schönes Hostel. Bequeme breite Matratzen. Kleinen Abzug dafür, dass es im Zimmer keine schränke hat.
