Tam Coc Serene Bungalow

I don't understand the good reviews on this hostel tbh. The rooms look nothing like the pictures and the bathroom is super disgusting. Not only very dirty but extremly moldy everywhere. I felt so dirty in this hostel and there is also no social vibe. Breakfast is okey but not good. Staff is friendly though

Several issues at this location. Motorbikes rented are unsafe with poor brakes and misaligned steering columns. Staff siphoned gas off bikes if parked at hostel during the day and didnt provide enough gas on new rentals to reach gas station. Items went missing during laundry service and staff made no attempt to recover. Staff scheduled shuttle to Hanoi but it didnt pick up from location, had to walk 700m in heavy rain to reach it.

The breakfast was absolutely amazing!!! The room is a bit dark and I didn’t have a light by the bed. Not a very social place. But I loved the outside area

Het was een prima locatie. Het ontbijt was ook fantastisch!! Jammer dat je niet je waterfles kon vullen via gefilterde aansluiting oid. Daarnaast waren er over het bed en mijn kussen kleine insecten te vinden.. Na enige stress dat het bedwantsen zouden zijn, bleken het volgens mij een soort luizen te zijn die ongevaarlijk zijn voor de mens. Als nog niet heel schoon als je een hele stam insecten vind ;) De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding vond ik daarom niet helemaal kloppen.

Definitely not an ideal place for solo travelers, the common area is not really good for meeting people.The breakfast was maybe the best I've had in all of Vietnam though and the staff was friendly and helpful. I wish they would offer female dorms though, since a lot of people go partying in Tam Coc and I had some very uncomfortable experiences in the dorm with drunk guys coming back late at night. Didn't make me feel super safe.

Just dont rent scotter from them. Brekfast is fine. Rooms are clean. Location is hard to get to if you are coming w raxi put walking path because otherwise you wont find it

Overall an okay hostel. Absolutely no atmosphere here and staff English was pretty bad and was quite difficult to checkin and be shown my room, and was not really set up correctly I don’t think. No shelf for phone, or towel, no hot water both nights in the shower, never could get toilet paper etc. I think it needs a bit of work to be up to a normal standard. Walk to Banana Tree if you need some atmosphere

There’s no lockers available for everyone. The staff is very kind and breakfast is nice, but there’s no area to hung out and the pool wasn’t inviting. It looked dirty especially w the dirty plastic roof over on top and blocked up toilet. Noise travels from dorm to dorm/ room. It was okay to stay couple of nights but wouldn’t go again or recommend.

We had a very nice stay at the serene bungalow! The staff is very lovely and the breakfast is tasty with much variety! The dorms have a good size so everybody has enough space. We would come back! ☺️

Nice place with friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms and showers that are close to the central town whilst being quiet. When I was staying there weren’t any other people in the dorm but otherwise a nice stay.

Mega gute Lage, die Zimmer waren sauber. Hab kein großes Schimmelproblem festgestellt. Habe von zwei Tagen auf fast eine Woche verlängert. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist 10/10 und komplett vegi. Die Familie war Mega nett und immer ansprechbar für Anliegen. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

The owners were nice, but the dorms felt a bit neglected. They smelt damp and the bedding/ towel didnt smell the cleanest. They could do with a bit of an update and clean. The location was good and quiet and the free breakfast was tasty in the morning. But, the rooms didnt lock so it felt a bit questionable that anybody could walk in at any point. There wasn't much social atmosphere here or a place to relax in the evening. I think it would be a better stay in the private rooms.

Lovely stay here, the vibe here is very "serene" lol. The breakfast is great, they're so quick with laundry, and the location is perfect!! They also changed my towel and sheets for me with no issue when I asked. They offer toiletries and such in the bathrooms as well. The only thing is the bathroom had a bit of a smell, but I think it couldn't be helped, I watched them clean it daily.

Dorm is really cheap, so not that surprised. Staff is super nice, as well as the breakfast and the pool Bathroom and blankets were not clean. Bad smell coming from the drain as well.

I had an amazing time with serene, and the owner thuong is the best she is very active and she gave my laundry in less than 3hrs . And its in very accessible location.. thanks tam coc serene bungalow for you wonderful service.

with out a doubt THE BEST place to stay in Tam Coc. conveniently located by the river and surrounded by cute cafes and restaurants - quietand peaceful but central at the same time. the staff are lovely and kind. The best homestay I have ever stayed in. breakfast is lovely with lots of options and you can rent bikes too! if I came back to Ninh Binh I would definitely stay here again

The hostel was okay. The dorms and bathrooms were smelly which was not were clean. The breakfast was very good tho and the staff was nice. The doors was left open all day and all night with no gate for the entrance which was not very well secured! But overall okay

This place was amazing! The rooms were clean, there was always hot showers and the location was perfect! The two sisters who run serene bungalow are amazing, super friendly and really helpful! Although it is quite a quiet place but there is loads of bars near by to socialise at.

Amazing hostel in the area. The breakfast is wonderful, rooms are clean with curtains and bathroom inside. Space for luggage is great There’s a swimming pool and you can rent a bike with them. Staff is very helpful and nice although maybe the lady speak a bit strong it’s just how she speaks but she’s nice ahaha
