+ The place was clean and the kitchen, while I didn't use it, looked nice.
- I booked a private room that was supposed to have its own bathroom, but when I got to the place, the bathroom was communal. The room's windows were so thin that for the entire night the traffic noise--buses, trolleys, cars, trucks--was so loud I couldn't sleep. The place was deserted and there was no real human working there. There is no person working there at all. If you have trouble, you have to text and wait for a response. I had trouble with the code on the door, and when I texted for help, they just sent me the same information that they had already sent me. I finally got into the place, but it was empty and a little uncomfortable for a solo female traveler without anyone else there.
+ Nicely located at the barrio escalante. Showers have hot water which definitely is a plus!
- Haven’t read there was no reception, hence no staff at all - you lack personal contact. I was alone in a 6 bed dorm which felt a little creepy.
+ The room was by the train and it was extremely noisy all night long. This is not the property’s fault but be aware of it. There were guests showering and talking loudly at 4 AM. Check in was confusing however someone was available via WhatsApp to guide me. The bed was comfy enough but between the guests and the train, it was impossible to sleep. I really wanted to love it here but the noise made it intolerable. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but I’d steer away from here.

- Op voorhand 10 mails gekregen, met verschillende codes in verschillende mails. Het was nogal zoeken om uiteindelijk te vinden wat ik nodig had. Smorgens binnen iets vergeten en ik raakt niet binnen ondanks ik 4 x dezelfde code heb ingegeven. Uiteindelijk iemand moeten bellen om open te doen. Bakjes om codes in te voeren maken snachts ook veel lawaai. Veel licht op de gang snachts.
+ The hostel is well situated, and the room was good value for a private room. The place is clean and well-finished and the showers have good water pressure.
- I didn't specifically rent this room because it was women-only, but I think there are some weird choices if the priority is safety: a staff-free, code based access requires you to get your phone out to access the hostel, and there's a huge mural on the side advertising that the place is for women. There was no one there while I stayed (staff or guests, it seemed) which gives a bit of a creepy feel. I was often worried I'd be locked out of my room if I didn't have my phone one me. In the room itself the windows don't fully close, meaning it's very loud. Dogs barking and people shouting well into the night. I don't think I was unsafe, but there was an unsettling feeling staying here: ironically, given this wasn't even my priority.
Good place to stay for a layover. Not really social and no outside area. Clean and good kitchen
Mixed feelings about location since the hostel is located in a really safe and cute area but on a huge and really loud road (not even earplugs could cover the sounds). The hostel is self checkin but the host replies fast on messages if you have questions. The vibe gives sanitary but wasn’t, dirty kitchen and toilets, but clean showers with free shampoo and body wash.
Pros: The hostel is very clean and in a nice neighborhood. The mattresses are also very good. Cons: It is located on a very noisy street with cars running and tutting at all times so it’s hard to get a good night of sleep even with earplugs. The pillows are also uncomfortably hard (but that’s a personal preference).
+ Küche funktional, gute Lage, war im. 6 Zimmer komplett alleine.
- Kaum Leute dort, kein Hostel um jemanden kennenzulernen. Sehr laut, da ein Zug früh 5-6 Uhr direkt vorbeifährt und die Fenster nicht dicht sind.
+ Dans l'ensemble, j'ai apprécié séjourner une nuit. - c'est très propre - il y a tout ce qu'il faut dans la cuisine (frigo, four, micro-ondes, etc.) - Vous avez linge, shampoing et gel douche à disposition - il n'y a pas de climatisation mais un ventilateur qui fait parfaitement le travail - il y a de quoi étendre ses habits dans la chambre - il y a des prises à côté du lit - le quartier est animé mais tranquille, pas de problème - le check-in sans réception est facile Le code Internet se trouve à l'entrée à gauche pour les personnes qui comme moi, n'ont pas toujours Internet. Car il vous faudra payer afin que le code d'accès de votre chambre soit activé et que le nom de votre chambre vous soit renseigné. Le code de la porte d'entrée vous ait communiqué plus rapidement. Je ne peux pas parler de l'emplacement car j'ai tout fait avec Uber. Mais pas loin d'une gare routière.
- - il n'y a pas de double vitrage, de ce fait, avec tous les camions qui passent et claxonnent, c'est très bruyant. - le lit secoue un peu selon quel type de camion passe - il manque de l'eau (celle du robinet n'est pas bonne au goût) mais il y a un très bon supermarché vraiment pas loin

L'emplacement est super (beau quartier sécuritaire et pleins de restos). La procédure d'entrée autonome est pratique, c'est super propre et la cuisine a tout ce qu'on a besoin. Nous avions la chambre privée et il manquait un peu d'ameublement pour être de tout confort, comme des tables et lampes de chevet. Aussi, la lumière du couloir se déclenchait à intervalle régulier la nuit sans aucun mouvement donc c'est un peu dérangeant. Autrement un endroit agréable pour passer du temps à Sa...
Absolutely outstanding place to stay. Everything was spotless, cozy, functional, and the staff were really helpful over WhatsApp. When I arrived I had troubles with the code, but Ana came to the hostel right away and helped me out. One only thing I didn't like was that the top bunks don't have full curtain coverage, but the staff let me move to the bottom bunk when I asked. My experience was amazing and I'm definitely coming back. The location is one of the best too ☺️🤍

+ La ubicación, que tuviera laundry, la tranquilidad del ambiente femenino, la cantidad de baños y duchas por persona y la cocina completa.

- Apenas incluir etiquetas na cozinha para escrever nome e dia do check-out; para evitar de acumular alimentos estragados ou não utilizados na geladeira
Perfect for a quiet relaxing stay- very easy to get in as a self check in service and any issue i had the team replied to me very quickly and were very helpful. Definitely recommend!!

- Although it transpired to be easy enough I didn’t really like the distal/ remote check in process if it safes money I don’t think the saving is passed on to clients

+ The location was in a good location. The hostel exceeded my expectations. I would definitely stay there again and again.
- I met the manager once to pay when I checked in because I wasn't able to pay online. Other than that one time I only saw the cleaning staff. It would be nice to have ongoing staff (at least one person) available.

+ Das Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das einchecken super simpel. Das größte Plus war für uns das kostenlose Waschen. Wir waren jetzt bereits das zweite mal dort und wenn wir wieder in San José sein sollten, gehen wir definitiv wieder dort hin.
- Ein kleiner Tipp: ein zweites Schneidebrett und Kochlöffel würden das kochen etwas erleichtern

Parfait pour un séjour au calme. Hostel très bien localisé et sécurisé, dans un quartier idéal pour manger et boire un verre. Cependant, pas fait pour des gens souhaitant rencontrer beaucoup de monde car très calme et souvent peu frequentée ce qui permet de bien dormir mais qui peut être frustrant socialement en fonction de la période.
