AirPorto Hostel

Lovely hostess, very friendly and helpful. Good breakfast included and freshly brewed coffee too. Nothing too much trouble. A 15 minute walk from the airport, so great after a late, delayed flight. Unfortunately I woke up in the middle of the night because I was being bitten by bed bugs (although I only saw 1). I reported it next morning and host thanked me and said she would disinfect the room and that unfortunately this tended to happen by the end of the summer.

Close to the airport and owner was friendly. I am sorry to tell but I feel I have to warn other travelers who are allergic to bedbugs; I have been bitten at least 20 times in face, hands and feet and am allergic to them. I saw one running away by daylight on my pillow. Lower bed, room 6. Came back home sick and with cleaning problem of backpack and luggage. I hope the owner can make sure to get rid of them soon, wouldnt want her to miss income. She works hard.

The staff were friendly, the bed was comfortable and it was very convenient for an early flight from Porto Airport. The packed breakfast was nice. I would have given it a 10 without the infestation. The hostel has a serious bedbug infestation, I was bitten several times in the night and may have taken some home with me. They have wrapped their mattresses in come kind of sellotape but they escape in the night. They need a serious deep clean.

Ich hatte nun schon 3 Aufenthalte im AirPorto Hostel, die Flughafennähe ist sehr praktisch, das Hostel liegt am Camino und der Check-In ist bis Mitternacht persönlich möglich. 1x war mein Flug zu spät, es war auch nach Mitternacht noch ein Self-Check-In mit Code möglich. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Tee steht immer zur Verfügung. Es gibt ab 9 Uhr Frühstück bzw. ein kleines Lunchpaket wenn man vorher abreist. :-) Das Hostel sehr hellhörig und laut mit ständiger An- und Abreise von Gästen. Die Betten sind abgelegen und wackelig, die Luft in den Zimmern schlecht. Es sind zu wenige Steckdosen im Zimmer und insbesondere in Bettnähe. Keine Leselampen am Bett. Keine Schließfächer für Wertsachen, Türcodes für die Zimmer sind sehr offensichtlich. Sanitäranlagen wenig einladend. Zimmer 6 war leider voller BETTWANZEN, sodass ich dieses Zimmer nachts fluchtartig verlassen und lieber die Nacht wach in der Küche verbracht habe... :-(

The problem of this hostel is the fact that they have bed bugs and they know it. They should deal responsible with this fact. If they do it's a good place to stay when going to the airport.

La habitación estaba infestada de chinches y tuvimos que irnos a la 1:30 de la mañana porque era imposible quedarse. Los colchones los envuelven en fundas de plástico "para evitar las chinches" y no sirve de nada, de hecho llevarán muchísimo sin cambiar esas fundas porque han cogido humedad y se ve mohoso, repugnante. Y no es sólo problema de las habitaciones, en los sofás del comedor común también hay. Por lo que he visto se excusan en que son los viajeros que los traen y ellos desinfectan, eso no se lo cree nadie. Intentan escurrir la culpa de que tienen un alojamiento insalubre. Nos pusimos en contacto con el alojamiento y no contestaron nunca, ni siquiera se dignan a dar la cara. Por otro lado, las habitaciones son enanas, prácticamente cabe la litera y poco más. Los baños normales, sin más. Pero se oye todo. La relación calidad precio (obviando las chinches) no está justificada, 42€ la noche es carísimo para un alojamiento así. No puedo entender las buenas valoraciones que tiene este lugar. No vayáis, elegid cualquier otro sitio porque os vais a llevar chinches a casa.

Nada Tuvimos que irnos de madrugada al darnos cuenta de que había chinches en la habitación y no pocas. Y no sólo en la habitación, cuando bajamos abajo en los sofás del salón también había. Pero es que además los colchones los tienen envueltos en una funda de plástico que ha cogido humedad y están como mohosos por dentro. Contactamos con el teléfono que había en la entrada porque no había nadie cuando nos fuimos y nunca se dignaron a contestar. Este sitio debería estar cerrado. Id a cualquier otro, que no puede ser peor.

Abbiamo trovato personale gentilissimo che ci ha accolti molto tardi, e ho adorato che ci abbiano lasciato la colazione per la mattina dopo, partivamo alle 5 di mattina e abbiamo trovato pronto. Non vale decisamente il prezzo, ho pagato molto meno in altre strutture con camera privata e bagno privato. Si paga la vicinanza e la comodità all'aeroporto e basta. Fate ATTENZIONE ALLE CIMICI DA LETTO, ci hanno infestato gli zaini e ce le siamo portate a casa in Italia, e non le avevamo sicuramente da prima perché nei 10 giorni di viaggio precedenti non ci è mai successo niente. Eravamo consapevoli di star prenotando una camerata in comune, non è quello il problema, ma la pulizia e le condizioni igieniche della stanza.

Location and friendly staff. Bathroom clean, but unfortunately big bed bug problem I got 32 bed bug bites after only a 6 hour stay in the hostel. 😫

The manager was friendly when we checked in. Location while in odd location is a relatively short walk (15 min) to airport. Bed bugs infestation. Breakfast was awful. Place was disgustingly dirty and had mold on ceiling in bathroom. Very noisy even though we had a private room which was tiny and again bed bugs even walking down the walls. Do not be fooled by what it looks like when you see the rooms. I have bites all over now. Bed was hard a rock and pillow was non-existant.

Beware this hostel has bed bugs, I ended up carrying them home and now I'm paranoid and can't sleep in my own house. The first sign of this was that mattresses are covered by plastic bed bug protectors.

Eine bislang von mir seit langem geschätztes Hostel mit sympathischem Personal. In der Nacht bin ich von Bettwanzen gebissen worden und musste das Bett nach 2 Stunden verlassen. Zum Glück gibt es dort eine sehr heiße Dusche, wo ich einen Teil der Bisse unwirksam machen konnte. Leider aber nicht alle, wie ich in der folgenden Nacht zuhause feststellen musste.

Place à côté de l aéroport petit déjeuner à emmener Notre deuxième nuit c est très mal passée , nous avons été infesté de punaise de lit, difficile à gérer en retour de vacances, mon fils de 14 ans a été piquer plus d une centaine de fois.

Établissement accueillant et assez propre, douche et toilette non mixte. Cuisine avec de la nourriture accessible Nous avons trouvée des punaises de lits dans les chambres donc nous avons dû dormir dans le salon .. Les chambres sont mixtes

Petit dortoir près de l'aéroport. Bons sanitaires. Cuisine bien équipée Vu punaise de lit. On m'a volé des pastels de natta dans le frigidaire. Petit déjeuner beaucoup trop tard. Nuit d'insomnie à cause d'un client malade qui bougeait sans cesse dans le lit superposé

Staff were amazing. To-go breakfast was great. Spacious and decent bathrooms. Very easy walk to airport Well I ended up with bed bugs so…. Would not recommend staying here if you want to sleep. People come in and out all night and the light in the hall turns on each time. No lockers. Felt paranoid and I guess for good reason since I ended up with terrible bites.

Está muy cerca del aeropuerto. Me picaron chinches por todo el cuerpo porque las sábanas estaban sucias.

Nice host Nuno, walking distance to the airport, nice backyard, possibility to cook. Overall, a very good hostel. Unfortunately, first time ever the BEDBUGS. Room N1 (Gilda). There are ALOT under the mattress..

Grundsätzlich ein Top-Hostel mit guter Ausstattung. Leider musste ich am nächsten Tag feststellen dass mein ganzer Körper voll ist mit Bissen (höchstwahrscheinlich Bettwanzen). Schade! Bugs

Cerca del aeropuerto. Habían chinches. Salimos con muchas picaduras en el cuerpo y no pudimos dormir nada bien. Eso al menos en la litera donde dormimos.

Emplacement appréciable car à quelques minute de l aéroport. Personnel très accueillant. Sanitaires et cuisine propres. Sandwich et boisson préparés en cas de départ très matinal. La chambre dite particuliere avec deux lits superposés est vraiment trop etroite. Impossible de circuler a deux donc très peu pratique et assez désagréable. De plus cette chambre est située à coté de l’accès aux wc et douches « femmes ». Nous n’avons pas fermé l’oeil de la nuit alors que nous sommes par téléphone ce matin a 4 heures pour notre vol. De 21 heures heure de notre coucher jusqu’à plus de minuit il y a eu des femmes qui ont eu l’aplomb de prendre douche et faire le toilette sans se soucier du repos des résidents ! Je pratique régulièrement les auberges en tant que pèlerine de Compostellece et n’ai jamais vu cela. Le plus désagréable ce matin pour mon compagnon fut de se réveiller le visage sur un insecte vivant qu’il a ecrasé. En le tuant l’insecte vraisemblablement une PUNAISE DE LIT s’est vidé de son sang ou plutôt celui de mon compagnon. Du jamais vu dans un hôtel ni même dans une auberge de Compostelle !! Je demande le remboursement de la réservation ! Inutile de vous faire etat de toutes les mesures et précautions d’hygiène que nous allons devoir prendre à notre retour chez nous.

L’emplacement près de l’aéroport Nous avons été bien accueillis par l’hôtesse, qui parle couramment anglais et portugais, ce qui est très pratique pour les voyageurs étrangers. La sécurité des chambres est assurée grâce aux fermetures électroniques. L’emplacement est idéal, proche de l’aéroport de Porto, et les tarifs de l’hôtel sont abordables. En revanche, la propreté laisse vraiment à désirer. Il y a de la moisissure dans les douches et les chambres, les porte-serviettes sont rouillés, et l’insonorisation est médiocre. Bien qu’il s’agisse d’un hôtel dortoir pour une halte rapide, l’hygiène est catastrophique, que ce soit dans les chambres ou dans la cuisine. Les couverts étaient mal lavés, ce qui est inacceptable. Et le comble, pour notre dernier jour au Portugal, cela ne pouvait pas être pire ! Notre chambre était infestée de punaises de lit. On pourrait tolérer des tâches sur les couvertures, mais la présence de punaises est inacceptable. La responsable était dans le déni total, affirmant que cela n’était jamais arrivé, alors qu’on pouvait voir des punaises mortes à l’entrée de notre chambre. Elle a ignoré le problème jusqu’à notre départ. Pour ma part, je déconseille cet établissement et n’y retournerai pas.

the place is near airport and stay some hours sleeping on the bed seemed to be a good option rather than sleep in the airport on the floor. the receptionist was also very nice and welcoming, the room was small but it's okay, we didn't except any much from one night stay hostel. we came late (around 22) and leave early, so got sandwich and drink prepared as a breakfast. walking distance to the airport is 15 min. you get two bed sheets to make bed themselves bed bugs. I have quite strong allergy reaction and couldn't sleep whole night because of the bites feeling. I was tired and knew about my allergy, so, was thinking maybe it's only few bites and I got strong reaction...but didn't expect it be so bad. today (2) days later after a stay) my legs, shoulders and arms are still in swallowed, red and itchy dots. somehow I absolutely missed the point about it reading reviews. maybe we got unlucky, but I wish that the disinfections would be more regular. minor thing - the lower bed has no space, and you hear all moves from the person on the top. I have to admit I am slightly contemplating to write bad review because the general it was a good choice with easy access to an airport for the one night and checkin went smoothly for a very low price... so if you going to stay - keep more clothes on you that you won't be eaten by bugs.

Personal sehr freundlich, alles sauber, leichte Kommunikation vor Ankunft, Frühstück im Paket für frühe Abreise. Bettwanzen (30 Stiche in einer Nacht), obwohl Personal sagte das sie aktuell die Situation mit Bettwanzen unter Kontrolle haben. Keine verschließbaren Fächer für Gepäck/persönliche Gegenstände - wurde vor einiger Zeit aufgebrochen (Sicherheit?).

Das Personal war äußerst freundlich und es gab ein kleines Lunchpaket am Morgen (nicht vegan) Leider waren die Betten sehr unbequem und auch nichts für große Menschen. Außerdem waren die Betten befallen von Bettwanzen!

Accueil du personnel Présence énorme de punaises de lit !!!!! Les matelas sont mis sous célophane, c'est déjà inquiétant !!! A peine couché depuis une heure est déjà piqué ! Ce genre d'établissement devrait traiter sa literie et ses environs, et revoir sa capacité d'accueil. Pour ma part, nous sommes partis dormir sur les bancs de l'aéroport à 2 heures du matin, triste fin de séjour à Porto, et désinfecter nos affaires en arrivant à destination !!!! Aux personnes qui souhaitent réserver un établissement même pas cher, prenez bien le temps de lire les commentaires, A bon entendeur...

Super friendly lady at reception, lovely hostel, great location and excellent breakfast service. We had bed bugs. My partner saw them, squashed them and was bitten (he is allergic and reacts quickly). The gentleman from the evening reception did nothing when we told him and left for the evening. We got no new bed and no money back. We didn't sleep at all that night but spent it going through our clothes and then leaving the hostel. You could already see the bed bug droppings on the walls, it wasn't a fresh infestation and judging by the reaction, they had known about it for a while but did nothing about it. Too bad, very bad night and very bad service. Hopefully we didn't bring anything home with us.

La proximité de l’aéroport Il y avait des punaises de lit super 👍 de plus c’est très mal insonorisé on entendait toutes les personnes qui entraient dans les douches les pommeaux l’eau les va et viens des gens.

+ close to airport +nice guy at reception +breakfast packed for early flight +kitchen to make even free real coffee(not instant) which is important for me in the morning +guitar to play a bit +tv in the common area +no bed bugs :D -no curtains in the room -double bed are old and noisy -no lockers in the room - got only ~1 hour of sleep because many people where coming and going All and all good place to stay one night before flight.

Non abbiamo chiuso occhio a causa di grida e risa tutta la notte. La stanza matrimoniale era un loculo con un letto a castello e una volta arrivati a casa ci siamo accorti che eravamo stati invasi dalle bed bugs. Fuggite a gambe levate!

Ich habe mein Geld wieder zurückbekommen, weil ich am selben Tag frühmorgens noch umgebucht habe. Das ist das einzige positive!!! Ansonsten hat mir NICHTS gefallen, es war total verseucht mit Bettwanzen - da muss definitiv der KammerJäger rein… Meine Freundin ist leider nur mit über 90 Bissen am körper nach Hause gefahren, obwohl sie nur ne knappe Stunde im Bett verbracht hat. Sie hat ihren Koffer in jeder Ritze voll mit Wanzen gehabt, der Frau an der Rezeption sind die Bettwanzen übers T-Shirt gelaufen - widerlich… Bitte Obacht!!!!!!! Bettwanzen über Bettwanzen!!!!

Cercanía al aeropuerto Primera vez que nos ocurría...había chinches en las camas. Al principio nos dieron las sabanas y estaban limpias pero cuando nos fuimos a acostar y pasaron unas horas, aparecieron por todos lados. Nos tuvimos que levantar a las 2:30 de la mañana a bañarnos y revisar todas nuestras cosas porque se habían pegado a las maletas. No había hoja de reclamaciones, tuve que hace una en un folio y dejarla allí. Por supuesto al día siguiente nos cancelaron la reserva y nos devolvieron el dinero, no así el de las tasas pero bueno. Después tuvimos que ir al aeropuerto cansados para ir a coger un vuelo. En fin espero que le pongan remedio a esto, porque por ubicación merecería la pena.

La ubicación cerca del aeropuerto CUIDADO!! CHINCHES DE CAMA!!! No pudimos dormir en la habitación. A las 2 horas de estar allí tuvimos q salir porque estaba infestado de chinches. Por las paredes, las camas y sábanas, nuestras maletas,... Tuvimos q salir de allí y al llegar a nuestro destino desinfestar el equipaje completamente. No había nadie que nos ayudara ni a quien indicarle lo sucedido, porque no hay nadie atendiendo por la noche si hay una emergencia. Desde hace un mes hay reseñas que indican este problema (lamentablemente nosotras no los vimos pq ya habíamos reservado), y no hacen nada al respecto, aún conociendo este problema.
