Dragan's Den Hostel

Worst hostel I've ever stayed at and wildly overpriced for what it is. Rooms and damp and have 10000 mosquitos. Owner was not home when I arrived and never checked me in. No way to contact him unless you have service in Croatia. Very weird. 40 min walk to old town. It was okay but the moist room and mosquitos get a 0 from me. Spend an extra few bucks and go elsewhere.

20-30 min walk from old Town. Dorms was set up in an old living room (not like the pictures) and the beds were short and bad. The mattress was only supported by a plank on the top bunk, and it was falling down on both sides of it. Also no fence for top bunk. The volounteers seemed uncomfortable, apparently the host is giving them creepy comments. Also no way to lock away your things inside, so all your baggage has to stay open in your room. For the price i paid this was not worth the money at ...

Need to fix check in system, was left waiting at reception with no staff and no email communication for almost 2 hours

The owner made a lot of comments on my physical apparence that made me uncomfortable. The hostel vibe was a little bit weird when i was there but it could depend of which guest are there too.

Note that Dragan's is located a 30 minute walk to town (up hill coming back) or a 10-15 euro taxi ride. Dorm room has no lockers or shelves so everyone's bags and belongings are haphazardly thrown on the ground. Dorm beds do not have outlets, curtains, or individual lights. Wifi doesn't work in basement 12 person dorm.

Shared facilities such as bathrooms, kitchen, outdoor common area and pool were all clean and well sized. The 8 bed mixed dorm was not worth the €40 a night I paid, €20 would be the absolute maximum that should be charged given the standard of the fit out. Wouldn’t recommend for young female solo travellers as a lot of people were having issues with the owner which seem to be persistent given other reviews. This is a shame because the hostel has potential and does have a good vibe at times...

Pros: - The atmosphere here is nice, there is lots of outdoor seating and a pool! - I cant speak for the dorms, however the private rooms are nice, with shower ensuite and aircon - The staff were lovely to us Cons: - Not very close to the old town/main port at all (think a 25 minute, partially uphill walk), there doesn’t seem to be any transport there aside from taxis, so heavy luggage owners beware! - The place is quite pricey for a not ideal location

My experience here was mixed. It was in a beautiful area and the pool was very nice as well. However, as a young solo female traveler, I did feel some weird vibes from the owner and he made a couple of weird comments as well, which is an issue that I know some other girls staying there had as well. It is about 30 min from old town Korcula. The staff weren’t always around so there were some times where you had to ask other visitors for help (ex. Taxi number, toilet paper). The bathroom was also not cleaned for any part of my stay so it was a bit dirty. The bunk beds didn’t have ladders so I had some trouble climbing into bed. In the Hostel I had the best time during my Trip. It was a great atmosphere there and the manager was a very nice person. If you want to go to Korcula go to this Hostel.

Muy cómodo y con excelente ambiente! Un poco lejos del centro pero se puede caminar si no vas con mucho peso

Tolles Hostel! Keine Schließfächer, aber du vertraust sowieso jedem. Wir haben für zwei Nächte gebucht und sind eine Woche geblieben. Wenn du was entspanntes, soziales willst, ist Dragans Den wirklich sehr zu empfehlen. Mit dem Boot-Taxi kann man für 3€ in die Altstadt fahren. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche!

Dragan est un hôte très sympathique qui accueille et a créé lui meme cet endroit. Les salles de bain sont grandes et privées. Pas proche de la vieille ville, mais bien pour aller se perdre dans la nature de l’île.

I had a great time in Korcula. It really is a hidden gem of Croatia. I highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway! Easy walk to port, old town, etc. Dragan is also super helpful and a really great guy! Thanks for the accommodation and hope to stay here again!!

El hostel está muy bien, son muy cómodas las instalaciones. Hay zonas comunes muy grandes como la terraza

The hostel staff were so friendly, v sociable feel with a nice outdoor area with seating and a pool. A little bit of a walk from the main town (about 20/30 mins) but not too bad
