Venice Park House

This was the WORST, most disgusting hostel I have ever been to. It is in a very sketchy neighborhood, so coming back home late at night isn’t really an option. At the third day of our stay, my friend (who I was staying with) went into the bathroom and found a COCKROACH family. We barricaded our room, and told the owner the next morning. He did NOT care, do anything about it, he said that it is because a lot of students stay here. So we had to have an early checkout, and found another apartmen...

Confusing to find, no reception. Actual property was different from the location stated. 20 minute wait after calling owner. Only accepted cash which wasn’t clearly indicated online. No air conditioning, just a small fan provided. No cooking facilities and poor kitchen appliances. Bathroom was shared between rooms and quite dirty. Room was clean and decently sized. Location wasn’t bad but not an appealing neighborhood.

Overall it was a good place to stay and I would go again, but the walls are a bit thin so you can hear the other people. The neighborhood felt safe and is a short bus away from Venice city center. It was a little confusing finding the place at the beginning as it’s behind a pizza place.
