- 🚨🚩‼️SKETCHY VIBES!!! 🚨🚩‼️ I am not new to hostels. I’ve done Girl Scouts for over a decade, slept on dirt, rocks, and questionable campground floors, and regularly stay in hostels around the world. I am not precious. I am not high-maintenance. And yet — this hostel managed to make me feel genuinely uncomfortable. From the moment I arrived, the vibes were off. Towels cost extra (because apparently basic hygiene is a premium add-on). Yes, I had my own towel, but this was still a weird and stingy start. The staff were technically nice, but professionalism was completely absent. At one point, female staff were hanging out in the common area eating McDonald’s with a friend instead of being at reception. Another time, male staff were smoking in the designated smoking room, which is located directly next to reception. Even if it was their break, maybe don’t hotbox the literal entrance of the building? The reception area smelled overwhelmingly of cigarette smoke at all times — not a mild smell, not an occasional whiff, but a thick, stale cloud that slapped you in the face the second you walked in. I genuinely do not understand why a smoking room was placed right next to reception unless the goal was to make everyone uncomfortable. Security was basically nonexistent. The elevator does not require a key card, meaning anyone off the street can walk straight onto the women’s-only floor. To make matters worse, there is a double room on the women’s floor that can be booked by male guests, which completely defeats the purpose of calling it a women’s-only floor in the first place. Some of the male guests were swearing extremely loudly (in English) and giving off seriously creepy energy. As a solo female traveler, this did not feel safe at all. Luggage storage was absolute chaos. Suitcases were left blocking hallways, and I had to physically move another guest’s bags just to walk through the corridor.
+ Cleanliness, Staff Behaviour
- The room is basically only a bed with no room to stand (literally). So it feels like cheating to be called a room. They also have it blocking the emergency exit stairs (basically converted the emergency run path into a room) which is really dangerous. No light or air.
+ Nothing - it's very cringe and suffocating.
- Didn't like anything at all. We chose not to stay and booked somewhere else.
It’s a cute hostel. Really nice and helpful staff but it’s not really a social hostel. You will struggle to make friends there. The kitchen has only two small tables and it’s hard to get in touch with other Travelers.
- Very tiny room that also contained within it the only emergency exit for the entire floor. There was a small panel in our door for anyone to break through to get to the emergency exit. Also no space for luggage except in the doorway which poses a huge safety risk given that those bags can only be placed in a way that blocks the ONLY emergency exit. Also our room had a cockroach in it.
Honestly, worst hostel experience we’ve ever had. Rude staff members, only had a couple of nice encounters with 2 of the staff. The dorms have no security whatsoever and are small and crammed. Barely any storage space for bags so everyone’s bags were in the isle so was hard to manoeuvre through. Top bunk pods had a box above your head so would whack your head during the night. No showers in the dorms. You had to shower in the kitchen area. Wouldn’t stay here again. Pay more to avoid this p...
+ It had a decent elevator and common area.
- This hostel was dirty and disorganized. There were dead flies on the inside of privacy blind attached to the bunk bed. There was also a stain on the sheets. There was a night-time lights-out policy, but it was not enforced. There was no late-night quiet rule in the bunk area, so it was very loud all night. There was not enough luggage storage in the bunks, and the bunks were much smaller than in other hostels in Japan. The AC units blew directly into the top bunks, leading to uncomfortably chilly nights. Overall, these factors resulted in the lights being left on late into the night with loud guests moving in and out of the bunk area. When approached about these concerns, staff put the blame on other guests.
+ Cleanliness & hygiene. Pantry was ok. Showers/bathrooms were good.
- Crammed double room. Not enough space to even move around the tiny room or even to keep 2 average-size pieces of luggage.

Great place to stay for the price. No real complaints but not a lot of room for luggage in the dorms which made getting changed a bit hard. Overall great though.
Good location near OK and cooking
Very nice hostel, beautiful location! the only negative point would be that it might be missing a place to chiller/sit, there is nothing but the kitchen!
I stayed there four nights, I think it’s an excellent location a comfort for the price, however, most of the people working there is very nice and helpful, last night I stayed the person of the staff in turn was mean and he just was not available for helping u with doubts or whatever, the other two guys where very nice. It was clean, amenities are okay and functional.
Lovely place and very warm and welcoming staff! Would have stayed longer if I could. :)
Good location and facilities. so i found the room a little cluttered and i charge to check in later. although i just pass the password through the door. no one will receive it.
Rooms were a tad warm the first couple nights, but decent the last 3. This hostel is more of a safe, clean spot to stay in a good location, rather than an event driven group activity hostel. The staff were absolutely fantastic, though! Yuji and Akira were super helpful and kind. Hiroki was hilarious! He knows everything 😉 Would definitely stay again.
I only stayed one night here, but wish I could have stayed longer. Staff were super friendly and chatty. Dorm room and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Beds were soft. People were chatting in the common room. And the location was a short walk to everything. This place had an overall good vibe. Hope to visit again!
Very quiet, next time we have a chance we will come again
Amazing location and really friendly team! Minimal space for bags in rooms but doesn’t matter for a short stay
Nice Area, staff really nice, really clean and calm, i recommand it
