Brienz Youth Hostel

Don’t go here. Was charged for random things on my bill, for drinks I never bought. When I asked about it I was blamed for never paying and their excuse was that they were too busy to deal with me. It’s a great location being on the water. But that’s it. I was not treated respectfully, don’t go here.

Beautiful location and lovely staff, but the dorm was awful. No photos shown of the dorms online. Mattresses were on the floor, crammed less than 20cm apart with no barriers or privacy. It felt like a sleepover with strangers, minus any comfort. Would not stay again, totally misleading and not worth the price.

No laundry for a hostel near the beach is sad , the food was really good , dorm was a bit constricted .best location if you are planning on brienz lake

Great place a bit out of central Interlaken. Right by the train station however and great breakfast and cheap bar. Very very busy so if that's not your style be wary. Staff were great. Beds were comfy and room was nice.

Very nice facilities with lots of things to do if you need to stay at the hostel for one day: lots of board games and seating inside, and lots of games for playing outside as well, with a large backyard and instant access to the lake. The staff was very hospitable and easy to get along with, specially Sarah and Andrei. Nice and clean bathrooms too.

Nice and clean hostel with a super breakfast!!!! Don't miss this one.

perfectly located hostel to explore brienz and the surrounding villages and attractions. The staff were lovely and very accomodating and the chance to hire a padal board for the lake was an excellent plus. only things to note are the lockers arent located in the rooms but are very secure and we coulcouls fit 2 60 liter bags into one locker. extea bonus with breakfast included! would definitely come back again!

I had an amazing stay at this property! The hosts were absolutely wonderful, very kind, helpful, and always available whenever I needed anything. They went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and were very understanding and supportive throughout my stay. The place itself is great, clean, comfortable, and well-maintained and the food was also amazing, which made the experience even better. The location is fantastic, very close to the lake and within walking distance of the statio...

I had doubts when I made the booking online but the place turn out amazing! Staff was very friendly and everuthing worked smoothly. Breakfast included in the price. The hostel was clean and had good facilities. Lot of activities like paddle boarding, games, table tennis, barbecue… Location by the lake was my favourite. Also close to the train station and easy travel to common attractions like jungfrau. Good value for your money.

The staff is SO nice and amazing, the breakfasts and dinners were delicious and the location is amazing! The beds aren't the most comfy since they are just on the floor in a big room, a divider between beds would be nice but that's my only complaint, would definitely stay here again :)

My friend and I just stayed here for 2 nights. We absolutely loved our stay! Beautiful location with stunning views, only a short walk from the train station. Breakfast was amazing. The staff was lovely, and it was a wonderful experience overall.

A great hostel on the side of lake; they have a ping pong table, some swings and chairs to lay/sit in the sun. And since its on the lake, you can go for a swim easily and come back for a quick shower. The staff was very friendly, and met some great travellers. It’s a 10 min walk (a very scenic one) from the station along the lake. You cannot go wrong with this one!

Amazingly charming hostel!

Lovely staff, beautiful space, great location on the lake. Only things that would make it better are having a stove (only have microwave/kettle/fridge) and working wifi in the rooms (only works in the common space and outside).

Such a cute hostel! It was very clean and safe and the staff were very sweet. A lot of great things to do in the area.

Super Unterkunft mit super Preisen!!! Das Essen ist super lecker und die Betten mega bequem. Super Lage am Brienzersee und die Leute die dort arbeiten sind unglaublich nett, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wir kommen gerne wieder und empfehlen es weiter :) liebe Grüße Jessica

Great Hostel! Everything was recently renovated so all the facilities are super clean and modern. The staff was very nice to me and offered any help they could. Absolutely beautiful walk to city centre and train station. Definitely recommend!

We had a brilliant say here for 3 nights in September, amazing view, helpful and friendly owner and an overall great feel to the place. When we come back to Switzerland we will definitely be staying here again.
