Hostel Ljubicica

Weird guys that seemed like they lived there and were very rude, didn’t feel safe sleeping at all and no air conditioning in room and was very dirty. Staff was great but overall not a great experience

Me and my friends arrived and checked in at about 11 o’clock in the morning and were putting our stuff away in the room when from what I’ve been told we’re insulted and had our belongings kicked by an old man that apparantly lives in the hostel. He was creepy and rude which made us decide to leave Sarajevo completely he following day due to his unsettling behaviour. If your a young girl I would not recommend staying in the mixed dorm hostel rooms and the rest of the hostel was filthy.

My friends and I checked in around 11 AM and were settling into our room when, according to others, an older man who apparently lives in the hostel insulted us and kicked our belongings. His behaviour was creepy and inappropriate, which made us feel so uncomfortable that we decided to leave Sarajevo altogether the next day. If you’re a young woman, I strongly recommend avoiding the mixed dorm rooms. On top of that, the rest of the hostel was also filthy.

Do not stay here, especially as a woman. We booked for the price and location, but the place was dirty, the kitchen a mess, and the bathroom tiny and unclean. The rooms were small, with no AC and a window that wouldn’t stay open. There were many men around, some seemingly living there. The only positive: when we left after one night to move accommodation, the receptionist only charged us for that night and didn’t seem surprised—making us wonder if this happens often.

When we checked in, person said there would be someone at desk after 8am so we could check out to catch our flight. We had to leave a deposite of my friends ID for the keys. The next morning, the desk and door was locked, no one there. Someone said someone would turn up at 8:40, too late for us. We had to leave the keys and my friends ID, and they still haven't got back to us about it. Also we had to leave the money with random people so hopefully they paid for the room and not stolen it

Bad showers, unfriendly staff, terrible Wi-Fi, high key deposit of 20€ and one of the dirtiest bathrooms I have seen in a hostel. This place should not be on Hostelworld!

Good vibes and atmosophere. Expensive and run down. Water pressure for half a shower, but there are three showers... Hot water is a unicorn

Okay so I felt the only interaction I actually had with the staff.. so short was the check in process.. it was like this is your bed and then never saw them again.. there was no real vib.The security was actually okay in that it was up to us as customers to open and lock the main gate there was no staff interaction with the main gate.. the showers were horrible (water pressure) and it was very dirty. It was quite sociable but it was very cramped if I'm honest. Also I payed 18 and some payed 12.

An okay stay - the owners are kind people and you get your own chest with a locker. We didnt feel any great community vibe here, and the kitchen was a bit messy. Baths and toilets were great though

Está increíblemente ubicado. Llegué un poco tarde poruqe se demoró mi vuelo, y me esperaron. El check in es hasta las 21. Pero por dentro el hostel tiene un ambiente un poco extraño. No lo recomiendo para solo travellers. La habitación está bien. Las camas no tienen luz individual. Por suerte me tocó la habitación vacía pero al mismo tiempo me sentía medio insegura. Me fui una noche antes. Los baños muy incómodos, los gancho para colgar la toalla demasiado altos. El agua salía bien...

Man at reception was very lovely and helpful. A bit of a confronting entry way through a gate on the street, room itself was ok very lived in and not the cleanest but not overly unsafe. bedroom was small but a large chest to hold belongings with a provided padlock. all residents were friendly and bathrooms were decent

Hostel's facilities were great and clean. Very cheap and affordable. Had no issues with other guests. The staff working there are always helpful and at hand throughout my stay. Location is fantastic for access to Sarajevo old town and surrounding areas. I wholeheartedly recommend this place, price is on point. I will definitely come again, khwala.

I WOULD NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE SOLO TRAVELER AND LOOKING FOR THE TYPICAL HOSTEL ATMOSPHERE. However, the staff and location were great but if you also want to socialise this is not a place.

2x toilets and 3x showers cramped and no shelf /platform on which to place effects - to prevent them (re shower) from getting wet either firstly, or from water splashed during showering. Separate toilet completely blocked c/ raw foecal matter & sealed off as u/s. Bunks need curtains particularly in mixed dorms for privacy - particularly in consideration of females

Decent hostel, okay for a few nights

Pretty basic hostel but you get all you need. I had a great time with great people and friendly staff. The location is amazing right next to the Bazaar in the middle of the center.

The hostel Is amazing! Cool energy, cool people! Super staff, always willing to help and ready for fun conversations! Super position also for visiting Sarajevo! For sure i will comeback here in the future! Much love🫶🏻

Great and simple people, clean place, the staff are super helpful with everything, they have a clear set of rules to keep the hostel a pleasant place to stay. The area is great, right across from the old city, reception is always available. I highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for the best value. You cant go wrong with these guys.

perfect location right where you to be across the Sebilj fountain at Baščaršija Square. there is a gate you get the key for so people don't come in. getting into the stall of the toilet was cramped though

Lovely guy checked us in and was very helpful, and bathrooms were not too bad, but overall not clean and no social vibe. Fridge smelt awful, clearly hadn’t been cleaned out in weeks, and I saw a mouse in the kitchen. You get what you pay for I guess. Decent central location at least. Wouldn’t have felt super safe if I wasn’t with friends, particularly as reception is separate and staff are not around the hostel itself.

Loved staying at this hostel, the staff are so friendly and super helpful about staying in sarajevo- and it’s also a fantastic location, had a lovely experience !

Hatte wirklich eine 10 von 10 Erfahrung. Das Hostel ist perfekt in der Stadt gelegen und die Betten sind gemütlich. Die Atmosphäre ist entspannt und angenehm. Der Service ist sehr gut und zuvorkommend, vor allem Armis ist sehr cool! Kann’s weiterempfehlen
