Rising Cock Party Hostel

Awful. Reasons why: • Empty and antisocial • One of the volunteers was unpleasant • Staff never around • Staff refused to change my 6 night booking to 2 nights even with 48h notice, even though the hostel was depressing and different to the marketing. Tried to charge my card for the full 6 nights after I left, which was an unauthorised payment. Strange place overall, stay somewhere else.

I didnt stay in a room I stayed in a storage place like dump. I am ok with no ac but not ventilation was horrible, when I entered the room always there was a horrible smell which happens because of no ventilation. And the room didnt feel clean there was no natural lights or windows ,the lockers were dirty . The only good thing about this hostel was the party part otherwise don’t have good hopes.

This Hostel is probably one if not the worst I have ever stayed at. The room smelled god awful, there were only 4 power outlets in a room for 8 people and to use one you would have to unplug a fan which made the whole ordeal worse. The mattress linen looked stained and the room was incredibly filthy throughout. Staff seemed apathetic. I bailed and went to a different place after the first night because even though I lost 2 nights I paid for, it was worth it to get the hell out of here!

Terrible. Got bed bugs the first night left immediately after waking up covered in bites. Would not return!

My back hurts after sleeping two nights in these beds. In one room you can’t open the window since cockroaches would come in. Showercabins next to the floor to the common area without a hook. Paid around 120€ for 2 nights- wasn’t worth it. The staff and mama is nice tho

It's really too expensive for what it is. No AC, bathrooms always dirty and there's hardly anything for breakfast: just pancakes and bread. No coffee.

Got bed bugs

The worst hostel I ever been. No AC only one small vents for a big room. It was so hot. My roommate saw a cockroach ! It s dirty, you don’t have space, the activities weren’t fun because it’s seem like we were annoying the staff. Don’t stay there !

They had a bed bug infestation, ended up with bites covering my entire body. When we alerted the owner, we were moved to two different rooms which both had bugs. Owner, who seemed lovely to begin with tried to convince us they were sandfly bites, refused to give us a full refund, and tried to blame us when we attempted to get compensation. For what you pay facilities are subpar, no aircon so rooms are extremely hot. Only good thing about our stay were the awesome staff and the events they ran.

Bed bugs!!! They told me it was an ongoing issue in my room and they booked us in as test dummies!! So messed up! I had to leave early and spend $4x the amount I initially booked for to get a hotel last minute during peak season. Ruined my stay and my messed my whole trip around with no compensation!!! PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE!!!

I love the place had so much fun their and the customer service was so good and we love momma. Also if you like partying that’s the city.

best social hostel I have stayed at! mama’s crepe breakfast was amazing and the pub crawl was straight vibes. everyone was really nice and welcoming, also close to the beach and old town shopping district!

One of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Feels like a big family that goes out, has loads of fun, and then meets up again at breakfast with Mama. 100% recommend if you're staying in Lagos. I will come back !

I really loved the staff. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. I forgot my phone in my uber and a staff member drove me to go get it 🙏🏾🙏🏾 the hostel was very clean, cleanest hostel I’ve ever been to. One of the shower drains doesn’t work very well, but all the others were great. Definitely a party hostel, but overall I loved it and would definitely stay again!

I really enjoyed my stay here! Great location, close to the bars and restaurants, really hospitable and friendly staff. Free pancakes in the morning! Would definitely come back again.

This hostel feels like family. I will be back. Morning crepes are the best and included. Plus they have double sized bunk beds!! Not guaranteed but if you show up early maybe you’ll get a double. Bar crawls every night. Beach right down the road .

This is a cute little Hostel. I loved Momma, she was there to greet me at the front desk and cooked crepes in the morning for breakfast free of charge! If you're looking for a party Hostel I wouldn't call this one BUT the value was worth the stay and the staff were super friendly.

Schon alleine wegen “Mamas” kostenlosen Crepes am Morgen und ihrem magischen Zitronensaft würde ich wieder kommen. Ansonsten: Partyhostel, zum Ausruhen bist du nicht dort. Aber selbst als ich mal einen Tag ruhiger machte, konnte man sehr gut schlafen, da es im Hostel selbst nicht laut ist. Rising Cock ♥️

It’s a good hostel if you’re trying to meet new people and have good nights. Not the most renovated rooms but the lounge area is new. If you’re looking to party I’d definitely recommend this one. Bring your own towels or they provide it for $2 euros They also have a booze cruise they offer every Saturdays and Sundays I think for $80. Age group is anywhere between 20-29

we LOVED the rising cock. probably the best three days of my entire life. hangovers were instantly cured by mama's miracle lemon tea and morning crepes. we met incredible people and had the wildest stories to tell when we left. geninely the best time ever and exactly what a party hostel should be. so clean, such a great location near all the bars, and SO FUN. i can't say enough good things.
