I personally wouldn’t stay here again. The pool was very nice and that’s the only reason I wanted to stay there but they changed me 5$ for a key deposit and then never gave it back and said we don’t take deposits. Also the dryer does not work you just waste a bunch of money

This is a decent hostel that does the trick but doesn’t live up to the 9.9 overall rating and 90$ price per night. The reception is often empty (we waited 20 mins to check in), the common area is bland, the vibes aren’t super charming, the lockers are hazards, the wifi doesn’t work half the time, and they don’t automatically provide duvets. The pool is nice and the location is amazing but overall this hostel is pretty mediocre, especially for the price

Right when you walk in I’ll be honest staff we’re pretty amazing. They were kind and easy to talk to always there to help but the atmosphere of the hostel was not super social other than when they would have the bar crawl, I think that would’ve just been because of the size of the hostel it was quite large. Walked in and someone was laying wet from the pool on my bed. The staff just brushed it off and left. It was still wet. Too much effort for them to clean up I guess!

I wouldn‘t recommend staying here. The showers were dirty, every night there were people partying on the balconies and the whole place is just filled with noise and annoying teenagers. The common areas weren‘t really inviting and the atmosphere was just off. I felt there were also a lot groups staying, which makes it hard for solo travellers to meet new people. I tried to stay as much outside the hostel as I could.

Rooms are way, way too small, even for a hostel. Could not move in the room. Bathrooms were easily accessible but not cleaned enough. Balcony was spacious and probably the only time I didn’t feel like I was in a prison cell-sorry. Staff were also quite rude when we first arrived (especially the females), although they were happy to help with extra towels and blankets

I had heard good things aboutthus hostel but unfortunately their cancelation policy was a let down. I accidentally booked an additional day andtheir policy is no refund if canceled within 72 hours of the booking. I understand it but there's so much demand the policy should have been no refund unless someone else books that night and takes your spot, in which case it should be a full refund. Dissappointed.

The staff were very good except for the one man at reception during the day, he made a big deal out of everything and was rude on more than 4 occasions.

Good yet extremely overpriced like all other hostels in Portugal. Significantly multi-ethnic town with some run down areas.

Was zo goed als perfect. Ligt goed gelegen in de stad, sfeer is goed. Personeel is aardig en meedenkend. Top ervaring gehad.

This place was amazing! Gorgeous kitchen & common area, and an AMAZING rooftop. There was an amazing breakfast daily and super walkable to multiple beaches. There is a sunrise rooftop daily I highly recommend. The downsides- the showers (at least for women) were small with curtains & there was no where for toiletry storage in them. 2 of the sinks did not work either. no curtains on the beds for privacy either. Would still stay here time and time again in Lagos!

Love the rooftop pool and views. Portuguese dinner one night was yummy. Great location. Pub crawl was a good time.

I chose to stay here for the rooftop pool & view and was not disappointed. Sunrise is a must! Definitely one of the more hotel like hostels, lacks a bit of comfyness/personality. Big draw back is that the common room is shut from 12pm-8:30am, meaning there is no where else to go other than the rooftop (no matter the weather) in between these times if you're an early riser, need to work or make a call. However, it's still worth it for the facilities imo, and they have lots of events to attend!

One annoyance I had was that the automatic showers and sinks flowed for about ten seconds before turning off and you had to turn them on again. Another is how inconvenient the lockers are, as they were rolling chests under the beds that opened at the top. Other than that, I had a great time and met the coolest people. The bar crawl is super fun!!

Top city was the perfect place to stay in Lagos. The location is perfect, everything felt very clean and if you’re looking for a social atmosphere this is where to find it. Everyone was extremely welcoming and friendly.

This place is AMAZING! Perfect location, amazing rooftop pool and common areas, so social and the best staff!! Jill, Sandra, and Catarina will take great care of you :) Facilities aren't bad at all, the beds are comfy, the treasure chests for luggage can be a hassle but they do the job, and overall everything is clean and decently updated! I loved it here so much I came back after only being away for 4 days :) if you want a social hostel in a prime location, this is the place to be!

Super schönes Hostel! Sehr zu empfehlen, vor allem wenn man als Frau alleine reist. Die Küche ist optimal ausgestattet und das inbegriffene Frühstück ließ keine Wünsche offen.

I absolutely loved my stay here- definitely my favourite hostel from my time travelling arnd Portugal The staff were really friendly and helpful. By far the nicest staff I’ve met on my trip. Breakfast was top tier! Free homemade pancakes, fresh fruit, cereal & toast The rooftop area is so nice, has amazing views & having a pool is an added bonus i stayed end of Oct- the season was winding down. still met loads of ppl, but was kinda quiet, can imagine it can be rowdy in peak season

Top City Hostel is absolutely amazing! The staff are super friendly and always happy to help, making you feel right at home. The breakfast is fresh and delicious, the rooms and bathrooms are spotless, and the whole place is kept incredibly clean. The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Lagos, close to beaches, restaurants, and nightlife. And the pub crawl is an absolute must — so much fun and a great way to meet new people! Everything about this hostel is top-notch.

Facilities could be improved, lockers f.e. feels like opening a treasure box that can lead to accidents if one isn’t careful enough. Hair dryers can be improved, takes such a long time to dry my hair. Other than that, food is great and pretty clean too. Very nice location.
