I cancelled more than 7 days in advance and they haven't refunded my deposit. I had to cancel with an iphone app but I have Samsung

62€ for one night in a dorm of 4 but no towels, no soap, no wifi in the room. Due to an early check out, breakfast was swapped for a packed lunch but just consisted of 4 slices of bread and little packages of butter and jam which weren’t of any use with no knife. Does not feel best value for money but besides that the location is fine and the building is clean.

You book a 4 Bed room for 52 euros and they try to put you in one with 8 beds. Others in that room had also the same problem. Once you go downstairs to ask about it, they treat you like you are a picky person. They charge you 4 euros for a towel and you don't even get to keep it. You get the absolute bare minimum for a very high price.

Expensive for what it offers! Beds are comfortable and room is very good! But the lady on the reception that did my check out was just rude! But the lady that did my check in was so lovely!

I arrived, first time in cologne, at the backpackers at night to find nobody answering the night bell. I had booked and informed the hostel my arrival time would be close to midnight. I tried the night bell, the door and tried calling for 30 minutes before leaving. Due to most places being fully booked, it took me till 1.30am to find a hotel room. This was extremely poor and potentially dangerous! I am leaving this negative review as I don't want other backpackers being in this situation.

The rooms are unbearably hot. I had to check out in the middle of the night and move to a hotel. It is a fine hostel but would not stay here in the summer.

I paid 50 euros for a shared room, there was no power outlet in the bed, no soap in the bathroom, location is not centric and I got woken up by two German guys shouting “MORGEN MORGEN” and barging into my room. Very weird ambience because it’s full of primary school trips. 20 minute walk from the center. Pros? Clean, easy check in, good breakfast. Not a good value of my money.

Very much a basic hostel that you would stay in when you’re on a school trip. It isnt sociable at all. The only way you can get wifi is in the lobby but even then, it doesn’t always work. The rooms aren’t very clean and the bedding is very old (some of it had marks and holes.) The location is just out of the city centre (6 mins by tram) but you are right next to one of the main train stations.The bit that ruined it for me was a group of girls who kept banging on my door close to midnight

It is not really a hostel, it is a Hotel with some rooms adapted to be shared. I do not recomend this place for solo travelers. There is basically no appropiate common areas, except by the lobby and there is definetively not activities to promote meetings with others guest.

We had a lovely stay at this hostel. It was so convenient because it’s about 5 minutes walk from the Lanxess Arena, where we went to a concert. Really nice walk over the Hohenzollernbrücke into the centre to see the Dom etc. The room was a nice size, very clean, and the free breakfast was great. We payed with card for the accommodation but could only pay in cash for extra add ons like towels. Would definitely stay here again.

Good hostel but the lockers didn't work

Great location. Sunday breakfast is better than the other days. They have everything enough for the backpacker. Adult friendly, too.

Estaba a unos 20-30’ andando al centro. Es un hostel que al menos cuando fuimos nosotras había bastantes colegios y podía haber un poco de ruido. Es cierto que a partir de las 22 horas ya se podía dormir bien. Las habitaciones con limpieza justa que no limpiaban durante los días de estancia aunque durmieras 3 noches. No tenía persianas y algo de luz entraba. El desayuno justito entre semana, el fin de semana mejor y más variedad.

I thought it was a youth hostel. To my surprise, some older gentleman came into the bedroom at 22:30. Not his fault, but I feel like that’s a big rule just to dismiss.

Ich hab schon mehrere Jahre während der Gamescom Woche dort übernachtet und es gibt meiner Ansicht nach kein besseres Hostel.

Generally clean, spacious, and convenient (very close to train station). There are no outlets by the bed or hand soap in bathroom though. I also paid for a 4 bed en-suite and the hostel put a 5th person in my room. It’s not a big deal but not technically what I signed up and paid for… Also it’s packed with super young teenagers and kids (14 years and below).

I wasn't made aware I had to pay in cash, its not stated on any comms. My flight was delayed and I arrived at 345am and was told to walk to the train station to get cash out(female,solo traveller)....I complained and hostelworld have given me €6 euro for my next stay as that's what I was charged to get the cash out.... There was no soap even in the toilet. Good location and good breakfast. No atmosphere and the WiFi does not work in the rooms.

Beaucoup de fetards et donc beaucoup de bruit

Nice staff, perfect location being across the road from a train station and only a brief walk across the bridge to the city. I’d use again

overall an adequate stay, the rooms were clean and the breakfast was great, however the price was high, the atmosphere meh, and the rooms really had nothing to offer - no WiFi, had to make your own beds and no outlets near the beds

Great stay, but the lobby smells strongly of kiwi fruit? And in a bad way.
