Luzern Youth Hostel

DONT STAY IN THIS ONE. The worse hostel i have ever stay, there is no fan or anything to reduce the heat. Very poor ventilation. Yhe whole room is heating. The bathroom is very dirty and small and no toilet paper. The room is also very dirty and have bugs. All my frds got bitten by bugs and my skin is itchy.

No lock on shower room, men can walk into ladies shower if they want. Place terribly outdated, staff rude- temperature regulation awful. Had to go elsewhere for my second night in Luzern I felt so unsafe. Absolute rubbish.

Very bad.facilities were very poor.No towels were provided not even shower gel available in bathroom and shortage of toilet paper.very poor response and also we are asked to do house keeping duties like we have to take bed covers and bedsheet from reception while checking in and make our bed and the worst part while checking out we have to remove those bed coversand bed sheet and hand it over to reception. No kitchen at hostel and even if we order something to we have ask cutlery at recepti...

I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here. It is absolutely not worth the money you pay. The rooms don't have proper installations, including no air; the bathrooms were not clean (one sink has a grey/black liquid squirted all over it and others were full of hair); most members of the staff were rude and unwilling to help when we asked, as well as very unflexible.

Chambres très petites, difficile de garder son intimité en dortoir en raison de l'absence de rideaux sur les lits. Peu de matériel au sein des chambres (les casiers sont à l'extérieur, porte-manteaux d'un seul côté de la pièce et en petit nombre), parfois défectueux (les prises, placées à la verticale, empêchent souvent de bien se brancher, puisque les boitiers de charge tombent). Chambres nettoyées peu fréquemment (présence de toiles d'araignées). Déjeuner très complet !

I don’t know how this place is rated so highly. The staff were nice and breakfast was good, but that’s about all the good things I have to say about it. No kitchen and no food unless you walk 15 minutes is pretty disappointing for a “backpackers” hostel. Lockers in the room were not well maintained - the only ones not in use were broken. Charging plugs were all upside down meaning they were basically useless with any kind of travel adapter because the plug just fell out.

Die Jugendherberge ist cool gelegen und mit vielen verschiedenen Bereichen ausgestattet. Die Abläufe beim Frühstück sind echt nervig. Dafür würde ich 0 von 5 Sternen geben. Wenig Angebot, eine Kaffemaschine, man wartet sich nen Ast ab. Das sollte doch besser gehen! Wenn ihr an ein paar Tipps/konstruktiven Input interessiert seid, dann gerne bei mir melden. Gruss Ben

Felt like a converted mental institution / prison with 0 security. Anyone could walk into the hostel and use facilities. Staff were super helpful and provided free bus/transport passes for our use. Quite far out from city centre. Needs new bed sheets as current ones are yellow stained, bedding felt gross.

Très propre, très jolie et dortoir très confortable (malgré le fait d’avoir choisi le dortoir féminin de 20 lits j’ai très bien dormi car les lits sont bien positionnés ) Par contre bien prendre en compte le fait que pas de cuisine ni frigo pour faire sa propre nourriture !!! Je n’avais pas fait attention petit dej inclus dans le prix

It was a really good experience staying in this hostel.

This hostel is fine, just the bare minimum. The rooms smell musty and stale and do not feel clean. I’ve stayed here twice, though, because it’s the cheapest place in Lucerne. But the location is good and no more than a 5 min walk to the train station to get downtown. I’m a woman and stayed in the mixed gender dorms; I felt safe and did not have any issues

Decent accomodation, about half an hour walk from the station. Would not call it a youth hostel, or at least the youth hostel I expected, I got woken up to a baby crying and there are plenty of children running around. Does the job

Excelente me encanto

This hostel is great, as it is easy to access(bus from the main train station), the staff is friendly, and the facility itself is bright and welcoming. If you hostel, you get accustomed to half the shared room snoring. I very much appreciate that this affordable option exists in beautiful Luzern✨

A very nice hostel, I would stay here again. Breakfast in the morning had a large selection. My only complaints about the rooms would be that there was no air conditioning, so it could get quite hot at night, and the plug sockets were positioned upside down, and were loose, so several times chargers just fell out or didn't charge. The showers also weren't that private. Nice location, 25 minute walk into central Lucerne. The staff are amazing, had no problems i.e. borrowing an adapter was easy.

Overall good experience. however, for the price- they should have a kitchen

only stayed for 8 hours overnight. Dorms, WC, common areas, outside areas are clean. Kitchen did not use, so no idea. checkin time is strict, so please follow the same. close to Central Station - 10 min by bus.

I have stayed in hostels in several continents and this was the worst. To be fair, some of the issue was the people staying there not just the hostel. My first night people had lights on and were actually yelling at each other until ~2am. Like full on yelling. To the point where a male employee had to come in TWICE to intervene. This made me uncomfortable as I chose a female room to avoid men. Also, the door to our room was open all night even when I would repeatedly close it, making me unsafe

Recomendable

Location a bit outside city center, not 24-hour reception was inconvenient, great breakfast, basic dorm room and clean showers. Expensive hostel, but seems like a normal price in Switzerland. Good security (key card access to hostel and room).

The hostel is really nice and clean. I stayed there for 2 days and I really recommend this one for affordable price.
