el personal que trabaja en el hostal es muy amable y atento, hacen un gran trabajo todos. pero por otro lado la distribucion del hostel( baños en un piso y duchasen otro) y las camas poco comodas, asi como habitaciones no agradables y pequeñas me dejan con pocos deseos de regresar o recomendar el lugar a futuras ocasiones.
The staff that works at the hostel is very friendly and attentive, they all do a great job. but on the other hand the distribution of the hostel ((toilets on one floor and shower on another) and the uncomfortable beds, but as unpleasant and small rooms leave me with little desire to return or recommend the place on future occasions.
Not a bad hostel, but for the price, there are much much better options in Medellin. Friendly staff and okay facilities, but it’s not in the main part of town and doesn’t have a vibe
Demasiado lejos, no lo recomiendo. Zona muy insegura. Parece un hostel fantasma se siente muy vacío y solitario. Pero la señorita de recepción fue muy amable.
Too far away, I don't recommend it. very unsafe zone. looks like a ghost hostel feels very empty and lonely. but the lady at the reception was very kind.
This hostel is not particularly bad, but also not really good. The rooms only have windows to the hallway inside, so they got pretty sticky. The fans are rather loud. There is a terrace with a couple of tables and chairs, but no real hang out area. Not the nicest atmosphere. Also the bathrooms and showers are in front of the reception/next to the kitchen. So not very private. The staff was very friendly though and the kitchen had all we needed. We stayed here for three nights.
I stayed here last minute as everything in Medellin was booked or really expensive. The neighbourhood is out of the way but walking distance to the botanical gardens which I really enjoyed. Facilities were clean enough. Wouldn’t stay here again.
muito bem localizado, próximoamelhor linha de metrô, em um bairro seguro, próximo de vários estabelecimentos. o quarto era um pouco quente, e se deixássemos a janela do banheiro aberta, insetos pequenos (baratinhas?) entravam. o lugar era limpo, imagino que vinham da rua. Não é um hostel agitado, nem muito preocupado com integração, mas para descansar é muito bom.
The room was a bit warm, and if we left the bathroom window open, small insects (baratinhas?) would get in. the place was very clean, I imagine they were coming from the street. it's not a busy hostel, nor very concerned with integration, but for rest it's very good.
Hello, Les + : la literie très confortable, la propreté de la chambre, la gentillesse des personnes sur place. Les - : toilettes sales, la localisation qui ne permet pas de sortir le soir. Notre guide nous a dit qu’on était pas dans un quartier très safe.
Hello, Les +: the very comfortable bedding, the cleanliness of the room, the kindness of the people on site. Les -: the sales toilets, the location that does not allow going out at night. Our guide told us that we were not in a very safe neighborhood.
Location is not to recommend - it is cheap and secure. Good if you just want to rest and take it easy.
Not the best location, not the friendliest of staff and a 90% chance I got attacked by bed bugs :/
Nice, the price is very fair, staff is lovely! You will have to take the metro or a transport to go around medellin. It is not a good place to meet other people but me and my friend felt very good there.

Cleanest hostel I’ve ever been in, located near metro

We really liked this hostel - very quiet, don’t stay here if you want to meet other travellers, but we found it a great place to stay. Clean and peaceful and very friendly staff. Would recommend!
Probably one of the cleanest hostels I‘ve been to and I had a dorm for myself because there were nearly no other guests so that was nice. The kitchen is also really well equipped and good to cook at.

Es un excelente lugar para quedarse los anfitriones son muy amables, hay servicio en recepción 24/7, tambien hay tiendas y farmacia en la entrada, hay dos estaciones del metro a 10min caminando, por lo que la ubicación es genial. El hostal es limpio, y en el segundo piso hay zona social sea para almorzar o descansar y conocer a otros viajeros. Tambien la cocina estuvo limpia todo el tiempo y disponible para el uso en el horario acordado.
It's an excellent place to stay the hosts are very friendly, there is service at the reception 24/7, there are also shops and pharmacy at the entrance, there are two metro stations 10min walk away, so the location is great. the hostel is clean, and on the second floor there is a social area by the sea to lunch or relax and meet other travelers. also the kitchen was clean all the time and available for use at the agreed time.
Very nice hostel! I was lucky and got a whole room for myself, which was very nice :) Alba and the other employees were super nice and helpful! It’s not the most social hostel, but I would still definitely recommend! The location is super good :))
Great hostel, really good value for money
Great hostel with lovely staff. They stayed up til 3am to check me in!!!!!!! Dont stay here if youre after a social vibe! Its quiet and out of the way. Metros are near and very easy to use though :) neighborhood felt more authentic than touristy areas which was cool! Very very very clean!!!! :))
When I arrived I had left luggage in an Uber. Felipe (on the reception) could not have been more helpful, helping me charge my phone, working out how to call the driver when there were issues with my SIM and explaining the situation in Spanish to the driver. I really appreciate his kindness!! The hostel overall had a really chill vibe and very good price for what is offered
Excellent place to stay. Very clean. Reception was very friendly. Not a party hostel, nice and quiet which was what I was looking for.

Cleanest hostel I’ve ever stayed at. Super close to the planetarium, botanical garden, and parques norte y explora.
We really liked this hostel, especially for the location. It was extremely convenient to be so close to the metro. We also enjoyed staying in a not so touristy part of Medellin. Downstairs from the hostel there are multiple stores for coffee, juice, and Colombian pastries like empanadas. It is also a short walk to a larger shopping center that has many small restaurants, grocery store, and an ATM. At the hostel our room was comfortable and clean. We definitely recommend to others!
Everything is a 10/10 I would have stayed more and I know I’ll go back! Thanks for everything the staff were amazing and I could work and have a lot of private time there

Vine a un concierto y la ubicación es bastante buena, tiene lo básico indispensable para poder dormir, el personal es atento.
I came to a concert and the location is quite good, it has the basic indispensable to be able to sleep, the staff is attentive.

I enjoyed my experience staying at the Medellin Backpacker Hostel. It was very quiet, chill, and clean. It's definitely a hostel to just chill and relax it since it isn't super social. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The kitchen and bathrooms were clean which is always a plus. Only thing is the dorms do get pretty hot and humid at night and the showers are a little small. Other than that though, I enjoyed my stay.
