*DO NOT STAY HERE* Genuinely baffled by the 8.2 stars this place has. Wish I could upload pictures so you all can see how gross it was. Mold was growing in the shower and the bathroom was covered in a brown grime showing nothing had been cleaned in QUITE a while. The beds were uncomfortable, pillow was a rock, sheets and towels were like sandpaper, etc. Listing makes it sound like there's a team working here but I think it's just one old guy managing a BUNCH of properties so they get neglected.

Esperienza terribile, la camera era molto sporca, inoltre la porta di casa era così vecchia che il secondo giorno che eravamo lì non siamo riusciti ad entrare, abbiamo chiamato il proprietario e dopo vari tentativi non è riuscito ad aprire nemmeno lui; Ci ha detto di provare ad aprire la porta con una spinta, fatto ciò la porta si è aperta con estrema facilità, dimostrandoci anche quanto fosse poco sicuro l’ostello. Vi sconsiglio di soggiornare qui.

*DO NOT STAY HERE AS A FEMALE SOLO TRAVELLER* I would never go out of my way to write a bad review, but my stay here warranted one. I felt very unsafe my entire stay. The neighbourhood is fine, but the street where the entrance is located (falsely advertised), was unsafe at night. There were men right outside the front entrance in chairs catcalling me. To my knowledge, there was not a single other guest staying in the hostel that night (which for reference was mid July in Rome). I ...

This was the worst property I have ever been to. The only decent thing about it was the location. The room was dirty, there were roaches in the bathroom, and it looked like it haven’t been cleaned in weeks. The linens had a bunch of stains, the fan inside the room didn’t work (there was window or aircon) and the beds were like cardboard. Don’t stay here.

Es un lugar que no recomendaría de quedarme, pues es sucio y está lejos de parecerse a las imágenes, me sentía insegura.

Honestly. If I could get my money back, I would. Bed and the room are NOT cleaned until you arrive, meaning if you are there for a couple of nights, dirty linen from previous departures remain in the room until the next poor person arrives. Bathroom was not cleaned the entire stay. Look, there are lockers and there is a small bar fridge in the room, but I honestly just felt a bit grubby the whole stay. And I’ve just finished the Camino!! For the price, you could do waaaaay better.

The owner is super nice and was able to check us in early. However, the hostel itself was really dirty. It looked like the floors & bathroom hadn’t been cleaned for several guests in a row, and the comforter was full of hair. No curtains on any of the windows so someone could look right inside while we were sleeping or using the bathroom. Also saw a cockroach

I felt basically robed. Minimum attention and service to the guest, maximum price. The room was super dirty, full of dust. There was trash in the stairs. The first day I was there there was no water. Why is this place well valued? The location may be good but so close to Roma Termini which is terribly dirty. I will not return.

I was there for one day.From the start itself it was a lot like in hostel's description they mementioned aboutbwe can check in early and late check out but they dont do that.So I spend £9 for luggage storage.Check in so annoyed and the person is nor helping at all.The things wich they mentioned is all misleading nothing is true.someone before me used the bed and they didnt change at all the bedding .They told they will make the bed but when I came back they didnt.its very ugly rooms and bathroo...

Franco is a super kind guy. At first it seems a bit odd with the location, but the rooms were great. I recommend getting the twin en-suite it’s nice. It’s cash only payment and the check-in location is different than property address. I felt safe and the bathroom was perfect.

I really enjoyed my time here! It was provate, the host was very nice/responsive, and I love the proximity to the train station and the Papal Basilica of Saint Mary Major

A great place to stay in Rome! An excellent location, within walking distance of all you need! Franco the owner was so incredibly helpful with whatever we needed. Basic accommodation but great price for Rome. Would stay here again. + all the dorms are female only, big win

Perfect central location, very clean, and great value for money. The host was fantastic — friendly, helpful, and always available. Highly recommend for a stay in Rome!

It was a wonderful experience, the location is the best, near Santa Maria Maggiore. The room fits with all my needdings! Clean, and easy to reserve.

O lugar é imundo. Passei duas horas tentando limpar o banheiro para poder usar. O quarto não foi limpo enquanto estive lá. Uma pena pq o prédio é antigo e legal, bem localizado.

Franco was extremely nice and we enjoyed our 6 nights in Rome. But unfortunately our accommodation was lackluster the room we stayed in was small. As well the air conditioning would not work properly and continued to leak. The shower was leaking out of the bottom as well. The host was super nice and gave us more towels and was attentive to all texts I had. I would recommend for a budget trip that is near the Tran station and the sites but not for a Trip over 3 nights.

We had a great stay at Rose Santa Maria, primo location and Franco is very good communicator.

La primera impresión no fue buena, llegar de noche y no encontrar el lugar no está bueno. El lugar de afuera no parece un Hostel. Franco nos recibió muy bien, la habitación no es lo más lindo, por suerte en la habitación que era para 4 solo éramos dos, sino muy pequeña. Baño ok, ducha ok. La habitación era limpia, le pregunté por la seguridad porque el lugar no me daba a seguro. Ubicación excelente, cerca de todo y linda zona a la vuelta de Santa María Maggiore.

The place is simple but the host is very friendly and supportive. Location is perfect!

Pros: clean, good location, felt safe and secure, our room had a fridge & microwave, lots of hot water Cons: Franco the owner is really busy and sometimes can be hard to get a hold of. I recommend reaching out to him well in advance and coordinating your exact arrival time if possible. When we arrived, he wasn't responding to whatsapp so I called his actual cell phone (listed on Hostelworld), then he finally answered. Delayed our checkin by about 30 mins but he's working hard and he's very kind...

It was ok, no common areas, in the beginning the place felt a little creepy and unofficial. But great location in Rome near the colosseum, the station and overall everything easy to reach with public transport.

Great place. Central location. Friendly staff. Good value for money. Cannot find better in Rome.
