Wouldn’t recommend. Didn’t feel safe doors didn’t close would have to slam shut, everyone knew the different door codes. No allocated beds which was fine but wasn’t sure they had been cleaned. Marks all over and I have now been scratching ever since-skin itritation(bed bugs?). Kitchen and basement riddled with flies,horrible smells, moldy food, cat faeces. Didn’t even bother to get a cup of tea. Lights didn’t work. No towels for hand drying. I will not return!!!!

On arrival we where given a spray for bed bugs you could not write it the place was a mess there is no way I could give this place a 1 star it is a place that they put the homeless up for a night's stay please please avoid we even had to take our clothes back to the car so the where not stolen booking .com needs to take this place from its listing's

I've never seen anywhere so dirty. The drains were blocked. I didn't use the shower or basin as I think I would have hot dirtier. I've had flea bites or bed bug bites contracted the night I stayed... could have been midges... but I've been itching and swollen face and hands which has spoiled this week.

La pulizia generale è terrificante e la struttura, che avrebbe un ottimo potenziale, è semplicemente in uno stato di degrado totale. All'interno regna l'umidità e ogni cosa è rotta o rovinata. Ho soggiornato in una stanza privata (non dormitorio) e oltre al letto era difficoltoso anche solo uscire dalla porta per quanto era piccola. Tendina rotta, pavimento appiccicoso e sporco di polvere (tanta). Sono in grado di sopportare condizioni limite, ma è giusto saperlo in partenza. Le immagini non rispecchiano affatto quello che si trova! Ho pagato per una stanza come fosse un'hotel di bassa fascia, ma senza nessun tipo di servizio/igiene apparente (la sera precedente ho soggiornato a Manchester in un vero Hotel con la metà del prezzo). Il personale del check in è stato molto sorridente, mentre il check out è stato fatto in maniera sbrigativa. La colazione è come se non vi fosse: stile ostello, in cui puoi comprare qualcosa e mangiartela. Poco altro è dato dalla struttura.

Bed bugs so bad that I am covered in sores fully three weeks later. I felt uncomfortable and some of the guests are unsavoury. A rotten experience.

BEDBUGS Place must be crawling. A week later and I am still COVERED in itchy bites. Messaged the property about this, but they have chosen not to respond. No hot water for a shower. No tickets for the Carvern Club were included as advertised. Given a vague excuse involving Covid. Its been years now, update your marketing and stop misleading customers. Obviously this is a basic hostel, but there's no excuse for bedbugs, or for ignoring a reasonable complaint about bedbugs. Have stayed in many hostels around the world and can safely say this place is a dump. Would not stay again if you paid me. I am not in the habit of writing such scathing reviews but here we are. Avoid this place like the plague.

The staffs hostile attitude, no safety whatsoever, icecold shower, contradictory information depending on which employee you talk to. You have no idea who are staff respectively guests as all slept in the same dorm. The staffs acceptance of drug use in the open 24/7, violence, a worn down, unhygienical house. Bedbugs, mold, bad smell. There are drug addicts staying longterm. As the management depends on those guests the drug use and antisocial behaviour is accepted. The homeless sleep during the day and as a tourist sharing dorm you get hit (!) when you switch on the light or make a normal noise daytime, when you need to charge your devices. The addicts move furniture at night and unplug your devices and throw your phone with force to the floor. A woman in my dorm was violent and hit me - those guests who live there believe they owe the few sockets so everyone else has to adapt to their sleeping routines, plus accept narcotics. The staff refuses to have police involved when violence. They tried to shut me up and even though I had paid accomendation I wasn't able to sleep in my dorm with my luggage. The homeless touched and moved my personal belongings when I was out. After I'd endured for 48 hours I started to cry. Then the staff kicked me out on the street (!) where I was left. "Because you cry, crying is not tolerated in our hostel!". The homeless persons loudly imitated me crying in a sarcastic, cruel way while the staff told me I imagined being hit and noone would believe me because the staff were 4-5 against me so police & Booking.com would only believe them. The hostel didn't condemn the violence. I wanted a nice stay, go to museums, galleries and enjoy Liverpool, and to leave with good memories. Not with bruises. I wish I'd been told its a drug dealing hostel so I inform those of you who wish to avoid witnessing it and just want a pleasant stay with access to charge, no violence, no verbal abuse etc.

This one of the filthiest hostels I've ever stayed in. With the sole exception of the 'check-in area', dirt, dust and gunk are ubiquitous. One could easily infer that even the most basic cleaning routines such as hoovering and toilet maintenance are blatantly neglected. As well as that, the place is cluttered with junk of all sorts. My dorm -- of course-- was no exception, smelt of damp socks and was unbelievably cold. A member of the staff sleeps there, sorrounded, again, by junk and litter which add up to the overall sense of misery. (photo attached, as written words can barely describe this). Whilst eating in the dining area, a lady --member of the staff -- came up to me and snatched out of my hands the knife I'd been using saying 'I will borrow that'. I found this so absurd that made me chuckle quite amusingly. Last but not least, the WiFi coverage is extremely poor, actually non existent. No doubt the proprietors want to rekindle the living conditions of Liverpudlians from a couple of centuries ago. Yet I wasn't ready for that.

Las camas tienen chinches!!!! He salido con mil picaduras! En la cocina todo es asqueroso y sucio… no es culpa de los que se hospedan, están sucios los aparatos (microondas, horno..)

Staff is rude. The place is covered in bed bugs. I was bitten from head to toe over a four day period. I was travelling for work. When I brought this to the attention of the managers. He accused me of being them to the hostel. He is racist. Bias and very obnoxious.

The place was very dirty and smelled bad. Now I'm coming home covered in bed bug bites. I will not return nor recommend it.

it rained through the roof onto two of the bunkbeds, there is no security, my bed had bedbugs, they overbooked the room, the man who owns the place would come into our room very late at night without warning, the common area is just a large table that doubles as the reception desk, the kitchen is disgusting. it was horrible.

WARNING - this hostel is very unclean. Multiple members of our party got bedbugs, and there were stains, hairs etc on the bedsheets when we arrived. Facilities are very basic and showers were not clean either. Staff seemed perfectly nice but were not massively helpful when we told them about the bedbugs problem. Would avoid unless you're willing to put up with dirt and noise at all hours.
