no me gustó absolutamente nada. no lo recomiendo para nada, mantienen una plaga de chinches en las habitaciones. por favor no reserves, solo perderás tiempo y dinero! 🤮🤮🤮

The rooms look nothing like the photos and with the aircon in pretty much everyone room not working it’s very difficult to sleep. To add to that there were bed bugs in all the beds which made it even worse

Séjour d'une nuit, je suis reconnaissant car j'avais un toit pour dormir. On avait réservé avec ma femme. Nous n'avons pas eu la même chambre. De plus, la propreté des lieux laisse à désirer. Pour un lieu qui se dit hôtel 3 ou 4 étoiles.. c'est abusé. Concernant l'ambiance, si vous avez eu une longue journée et que vous souhaitez vous reposer, c'est compliqué.. les clients parlent forts, rigolent sans se soucier des autres personnes. C'est sûrement le principe des auberges de jeunesse. Pour finir, nous n'étions pas très à l'aise au vu des avis que nous avons lus concernant les punaises de lits.. heureusement nous n'avons pas eu de soucis. Sinon les personnes de l'accueil étaient sympathiques dans l'ensemble.

La ubicación excelente, pero el Hostal le deberian invertir en personal de limpieza. Me picaron las Chinches. Muy importante por la salud de la gente que limpien las camas.

The hygiene standards were terrible. There were bedbugs in the bed I was assigned, and when I reported this, I still had to sleep in the same place; The next day, they only changed the sheet, but not the mattress cover. The only compensation offered to me was the loan of towels at no extra cost, which I declined because I had brought my own towel, and which I did not feel comfortable with given the hygiene conditions I had encountered. Also, the plug by my bed wasn’t working. Furthermore, some of the reception staff were unfriendly. Not all of them, but I did witness the night shift making rude comments to an Argentine tourist. I sadly do not recommend this Hostel.

BEWARE OF BED BUGS I rarely leave reviews, but this was genuinely one of the worst hostel experiences I have ever had, and future travelers deserve to be warned, especially solo female travelers considering the mixed dorm. The so-called “22-bed mixed dorm” is misleading. It is essentially a hallway lined with tiny two-bed cubicles separated by broken, accordion-style plastic doors that offer no privacy, no sound insulation, and no real security. As a solo female traveler, I was placed alone in one of these cubicles with a man I had never met. When I asked staff if there was any possibility of changing rooms or finding a safer arrangement, they were completely dismissive and unwilling to help. Most hostels at least try to avoid placing a woman alone with a male stranger if she expresses discomfort. Security is practically nonexistent. The main entrance allowed people to walk straight into the dorm area without a key, the dorm door itself could not be locked, and it remained open at all times. Anyone could walk in off the street, despite it being a sketchy neighborhood (since it’s near Roma termini). Sleeping was nearly impossible. The hallway light remain on constantly, and light and noise pour into the cubicles through the flimsy “door”. The room was also unbearably hot and there aren’t any blinds for the window. The bathrooms were also in poor condition: visible mold, broken locks, and not even hand soap provided. Hygiene standards were clearly not a priority. To make matters worse, I woke up covered in bed bug bites on my arm after just one night. When I decided I did not feel safe and chose to leave after 1 night, they refused any refund, despite offering no solution and no compromise because I “left voluntarily”. What a complete waste.

The room was infested with bed bugs. I've never been bitten by bed bugs until I stayed here. My entire body was covered in bed bug bites. It was severe enough that my entire left arm swelled and I had to use a steroid cream. My bunkmates confirmed they'd also been bitten by bed bugs. It is my fault for not doing more research on this dump. Past Google reviews also mention a bed bug infestation, and employees/ownership blaming the guest for the infestation. I expected the accomodations to be simple due to the price, but unsanitary conditions to this degree are absolutely unacceptable. It's been almost 3 weeks since my stay here and I'm still recovering. With all the upsetting reviews and pictures I'm surprised the ministry of tourism has not gotten involved at this point.

No tuve tiempo de sacar fotos, salí corriendo del lugar, que lastima porque esta muy bien ubicado, pero ahora entiendo el precio tan barato, HAY CHINCHES EN LOS CUARTOS, si no saben lo que es investiguen y sabran porque es algo asqueroso, y no te quiero ni contar si te llevas alguna.

CUIDADO TIENEN CHINCHES Después de hacer nuestra reservación por Hostelworld me envían un correo que añadí en las fotos donde me decían que tienen un sistema automático para las camas y puede ser que estemos en ciertos separados y q si quieria estar en el mismo cuarto con mi pareja tenía que pagar un extra de 5 euros por día. Llegando claro que nos habían puesto en cuartos diferentes. El agua caliente no es siempre caliente. Yo me quedé en un cuarto con las camas hechas de madera, ya en los días anteriores algo me había picado pero en el último día por la mañana encontré un bicho que añadí en las fotos que se ve que es un chinche. Seguro saben de la infección de chinches porque en los días q nos quedamos vimos q estaban cambiando las camas de madera ( que a los chinches gusta) por camas de metal. La cocina asquerosa y ni tiene cubiertos, tenía 2 platos y tuve que pedir un tenedor que según la gente los roban y los tienen en recepción, pedimos dos pero tenían solo uno. La limpieza es mala, quise usar el cepillo para limpiar el wc y casi vomito que estaba lleno de agua de caca. Según este hostal es nuevo pero parece q muchas cosas q tienen como los colchones se ven que tienen más tiempo. Puntos buenos: tiene secadora, pocas camas por cuarto, lugar central y caminando llegas a la estación de termini, la temperatura de los cuartos es buena

La cocina justo estaba mala cuando fui y estaba todo el piso mojado por el agua. Había que lavar las ollas en el baño adjunto, lo mismo para sacar agua para cocinar, lo que lo hizo un poco incómodo. Además la cama tenia el colchón con manchas, y yo creo que también chinches porque amanecí toda picada :(

Nous avons passé 2 nuits à 2 personnes dans cette auberge, fin juillet. Malgré un début de séjour déroutant suite à un souci de réservation où un seul lit avait été retenu en réservation pour 2 personnes, les hôtes de l'accueil ont réussi à trouver un autre lit de disponible dans une autre chambre. Nous avons choisi cette auberge pour ses bons avis et bonnes notes, sans s'attendre à tant de défauts. En effet, en récupérant les clés de ma chambre et en arrivant devant mon lit, je constate : un lit superposé pour lequel la barrière de sécurité n'a plus de vis et menace de tomber, une étagère au-dessus de mon lit menaçant de tomber également sur moi pendant la nuit, et une punaise de lit retrouvée sur un drap PROPRE, plié sur le lit. Ce souci d'hygiène semble être connu des personnels de l'auberge puisque, dans la chambre de mon amie, 2 de ses colocataires ont également connu un très désagréable séjour et pour cause : le premier a retrouvé son lit plein de poils, de cheveux et de saletés, que l'auberge n'a pas nettoyé, et le second a retrouvé des punaises de lit dans son lit, s'est fait piqué et est recouvert de plaques et boutons et a contaminé tous ses vêtements. Ce dernier l'a signalé au personnel de l'accueil, qui leur a simplement donné un drap propre et les hôtes ont été très désagréables et malpolis vis-à-vis de ce client. Il a donc dû appeler la plateforme des auberges "Hostelworld" pour se plaindre. Concernant la salle de bain commune à la chambre de 6 personnes, le cadenas était cassé, vous n'y trouverez donc aucune intimité. La cuvette des toilettes est cassée, et le radiateur rouillé. Du côté de la cuisine commune à l'ensemble des chambres de l'auberge, nous avons trouvé un sol sale et mouillé avec un drap en boule au pied d'une poubelle, des plaques de cuisson et un plan de travail gras et sales, non nettoyés, un micro-ondes encrassé, de la poussière sur les meubles et les poubelles non nettoyées. Un seul frigo est fonctionnel sur trois, et dans tous se trouvent des serviettes de bain à la place du bac du bas. Malgré nos recherches, il y a très peu voire pas de couverts disponibles : pas de bol, pas de cuillères, très peu d'assiettes, couteaux, fourchettes (moins de 5 pour toute l'auberge). Au cours du séjour, le frigo dans lequel nous avions laissé nos aliments a dû être éteint. Nous avons donc récupéré nos produits non réfrigérés. En guise de conclusion, vous l'aurez deviné, je ne recommande pas cet endroit et appelle à la vigilance quant à la propreté de celui-ci ! Vous trouverez des photos qui seront plus parlantes.

Det var fruktansvärt varmt på rummet, ac fanns utanför i hallen men inte i rummen. Jag bokade en blandad sovsal, när jag kom dit hade alla rummen (vet inte hur det var på andra våningar) två eller tre sängar. Så jag (solo female backpacker) kände mig inte bekväm med att sov ensam med en främmande man och sa detta till receptionen och frågade om det gick att byta rum. Han sa nej utan att ens kolla på dator, och jag hade gått förbi flera tomma rum på min våning. Tjejerna som bodde i rummet bredvid mig hittade bedbugs på sitt rum och fick byta. Golvet runt duscharna var smutsigt också.

The location of this hostel is honestly unbelievable, it’s only a 10 minute walk to the colosseum. However me and my friend did find bed bugs while on our stay there, the staff was more than willing to help us and upgraded us to a private room. Lastly the rooms on the third floor have no ac in the rooms so it get really hot at night and in the morning the hot sun comes in though the sun roof .The staff was very accommodating throughout our whole stay which made our stay much more enjoyable.

Bed bugs, fleas, or something bit me a great deal in the night. The night receptionist was as helpful as possible given there was no spare beds in the hostel to change me to until someone checked out at 3am. But the receptionist in the morning tried to claim that this change of beds in the middle of the night meant I had been given an upgrade, and despite his colleague verifying the bugs, seemed to think it was all made up, and refused to refund me for the abysmal evening. Comfy pillows though!

I booked this hostel for a friend. The following is a note from my friend about the friend's experience during her stay at the hostel "The numerous bites. The receptionist told me they were mosquito bites. So. He at least knows what flea or bed bugs bites look like (?) The welts on my neck and my throat and on my legs are swollen. El 15 de octubre de 2024 ocupamos una habitación que ya habíamos reservado varios meses antes para esa fecha. Nos despertamos en medio de la noche por una sensación de cosquilleo y encontramos chinches en nuestras sábanas y en el colchón, en ambas camas. Fuimos directamente a hablar de esto con el gerente o conserje y le pedimos que nos diera otra habitación, pero dijo que no tenía ninguna disponible en ese momento. No dio ninguna solución al problema, ni siquiera se ofreció a cambiarnos las sábanas o limpiar las camas, dijo que tendríamos que esperar hasta la mañana, pero teníamos que salir a la mañana siguiente y no teníamos otro lugar donde dormir esa noche. Tuvimos que insistir, era aproximadamente la 1 o 2 de la madrugada, y después de más de una hora finalmente nos dio una habitación que guardan para el personal, pero el resultado de todo esto fue que esa noche no pudimos dormir nada. y estábamos muy preocupados y además agotados. Por la mañana durante el check out, el gerente nos dijo que debíamos enviar un correo electrónico para realizar el reclamo. Reclamamos que se nos reembolse el importe pagado por la habitación. I am very disappointed about this hostel. We arrived to find bed bugs in both mattresses. We took pictures…To be accused of bringing the bed bugs. When we had not even slept in the bed or unpacked any of our items. We left the hostel because if one bed has bed bugs they most likely all do. We were not even refunded the money. Very disappointing. Would not recommend

Staff was great very friendly. Location is great close to colloseum. My unit had the AC broken which was unfortunate on a 30+ degree night. Bed had bedbugs and left my back full of bites.

I got bed bugs here and it’s the most expensive hostel I’ve ever had to pay for. Disappointing to pay that much and then end up with bed bugs. Wish there was some sort of compensation for that kind of thing especially with the inconvenience of moving rooms when I really enjoyed the original roommates. The staff were really nice though, the location was good, and I liked the garden/terrace area.

Moi qui adore les animaux, j'ai eu la chance de repartir avec plein de sympathiques punaises de lit dans mon bagage. Je recommande !!! Venu de France avec toute ma promotion de 110 étudiants, nous voulions profiter de la Dolce Vita et de la richesse architecturale de la ville. Quel ne fut pas notre surprise en constatant la présence de parasites dans la quasi-totalité de nos chambres. Outre les piqures et l'obligation de mettre nos bagages dans des sacs-poubelle pour limiter l'épidémie, la chasse d'eau de ma chambre était cassée. Ainsi l'eau s'écoulait en permanence, très agréable de s'endormir au doux son de l'eau qui coule en permanence. Si ce n'était que les chambres, à la limite, j'aurais revu ma note, mais le personnel n'est pas fameux non plus. À peine arrivé, les hôteliers ont récupéré l'intégralité de nos cartes d'identités et de nos passeports pour les ranger dans une pauvre boite à chaussure sur le bord du comptoir pendant 24 h et sans possibilité de les récupérer alors que nous en avions besoin pour réaliser des visites de musée. Nous avions également payé un supplément pour avoir un petit déjeuner. Petit déjeuner se composant d'un croissant par personne avec un verre de lait ou de jus d'orange, très rassasiant ! À ce niveau-là, c'est de la grande gastronomie ! En plus, le petit déjeuner commence à 10 h, ce qui est génial lorsque, nous devons commencer des visites dans Rome dès 8 h… À part l'implantation, cet hôtel n'a aucun atout, je vous encourage vivement à passer votre chemin.

This hostel is in a good location and looks attractive. HOWEVER, we woke up covered in BEDBUG bites. The staff did not respond to our two emails -- at first, we only wanted to let them know so they didn't give someone else the same room. No response at all. They wanted to charge 5 euro each (for 17 of us!) to store our bags for two hours because we were early for check-in. Some of our rooms were already available, but we were not allowed to put our bags there unless we paid 10 euros each.

Noise from other rooms. The Bunk bed make noise easily from lower or upper roommates. A bit dirty i saw some bed bug in my bed maybe from blanket.

My stay at “New generation hostel rome center” w as unfortunately marred by the discovery of bedbugs in the mattress seams. While the initial room inspection didn't raise any red flags, a closer look revealed the infestation. To their credit, the staff addressed the issue promptly. They removed the mattress and replaced it with a new one, followed by a thorough cleaning of the room. However, given the resilience of bedbugs, there's still a chance other parts of the room could be harboring them. Even with the staff's intervention, the entire experience caused a great deal of stress and worry. The fear of bringing bedbugs home with me overshadowed the rest of the trip, leaving a negative impact on what should have been a relaxing stay.

Pesimo! No agua caliente, chinches en las camas, trato muy mejorable por parte de los trabajadores, nos trataron fatal despues de preguntat por la falta de agua caliente! Muy mala experiencia!

No hot water, bed bugs, no breakfast, bad service

I was three days there, I had to take cold showers every day. There is NO HOT WATER. There were bed bugs and the personnel was terribly unhelpful, not even willing to try. This hostel ruined my stay in Rome.

I reported this to reception staff and I was told it will be looked into. I also sent an email to them regarding this incident but they did not even acknowledge my email. I have escalated this complaint to booking.com and I was told the hostel is not responsive. This speaks volume of how this hostel really treats guests, and handle complaints.

There were bed bugs in the pillows, and if you're a traveler, you should know, that means they were in the bed at minimum. Keep your bags at least 5 feet away or in the bathroom, or better yet, don't stay here.

The main issue was bed bugs but this place will also nickel and dime you for everything including checking in (in person vs online). After I showed reception a dead bed bug and several bites they said that there was nothing they could do and that if I had a complaint to write an email (which I did and never not get a response). After a lot of back forth with reception they eventually moved me to a different bed in the same room that also had bed bugs. The worst part of this unfortunate event was that they never treated the room (only changed sheets on the one bed) and put a new guest in it immediately after. When I left at 5am to catch an early flight the new guest was scratching himself constantly. I have never left a bad review and understand bedbugs are inevitable but the situation was handled extremely poorly by reception and management.

went here with a friend. would not recommend this place to anyone!! it’s very unsanitary and the staff is super disrespectful. the kitchen was full animals droppings. the food that we brought was nibbled at after one night. when we asked for the staff to confront the problem they started making fun of us and walked away muttering fottiti. the next morning we had a weird itch on my back. my friend and i got it checked out after a couple days turns out they gave bed bugs. stay away!

Todo perfecto en el hostel, la gente muy amable, y la ubicación muy bien. Pero me han picado chinches en las 3 noches que estuve y me he ido llena de ronchas!
