Alibabas House

The look and feel is very nice and quaint, the common area is equipped with beautiful plants and a wooden table to sit and socialize. I stayed in the female dormitory on the first floor that had 3 sets of bunk beds. It seemed clean at first and then I came back from walking around town and turned on the lights only to find 3 cockroaches scattering from the middle of the floor. I looked underneath the bed I chose to occupy and there were about 2 more. I packed my bags immediately and left.

Bonne auberge. Le dortoir pour 6 est un peu à l’étroit, comme si un lit avait été rajouté de trop. A part cela dans l’ensemble correct (attention l’eau chaude prend du temps à venir…) malgré une isolation phonique à revoir avec l’étage. Petit déjeuner bon. Attention toute l’équipe ne parle pas anglais mais ils font de leur mieux!

Pros: Breakfast was beautiful, space was clean Cons: I have never felt so unsafe in a hostel. When I arrived I was not welcomed, rather it seemed that I was inconveniencing them. I was the only person in my 4 bed room, and they proceeded to have loud, smoking guests over til after 12am. Some male guests stared at me, and when I locked the door once I came back to find it unlocked. In the room above me someone was yelling at a child and bashing things around. I barricaded my door to sleep.

I had a great stay at Alibabas House. Hosts were really nice and breakfast was good. Ali has a shop and restaurant not far from this place and it was a good place to have food too.

A nice homestay with a very local small town vibe. I really appreciated the breakfast with local and homemade products. The wifi was also good. The beds werecomfy. The toilet of the dorm could have been cleaner (a lot of hair on the floor). The communication with the lady who welcomed me was limited due to language barriers.

Alibaba es una persona que puede parecer algo parca de palabras al principio es un maravilloso anfitrión. una persona muy generosa, el desayuno estaba brutal, ademas que se ofreció llevarnos a las ruinas de Efeso. De verdad que por parte de los anfitriones todos un 10. la unica pega que pondría es que el wifi no funcionaba durante mi estancia y que la habitacion compartida no tiene llave o lockers. Es un sitio pequeño y sabes que nadie entrará, pero estaría bien que la puerta tuviese cerra...

Great hotel with a room for dorms. Definitely not a hostel and there were a couple of times where the hotel was locked up when i was trying to access my room and I had to call someone. but the rooms were very clean, shower was hot and the people who owned the place were absolutely lovely and even made me breakfast when I arrived at 7am from the overnight bus and drove me to ephesus. Thanks very much for the hospitality!

petite auberge sympa. family run. bon et généreux petit déjeuner. Alibaba a aussi un resto tt près et 2 boutiques où il vend entre autre de jolis tapis. / at first i didnt like the dorm though very clean w ensuite bathroom but the light the mood made me feel in a box but then we put out a little table lamp and it was much better as a general feeling. / u can walk to ephesus but Alibaba will possibly offer u a ride there. worth a visit early am to avoid the busses crowd

Great place in a quiet neighbourhood, walking distance to restaurants, some sights and the bus station. The owners and staff are very kind, the breakfast is delicious, the place has a homey vibe. I was in the dorm room which was clean and spacious enough for the guests, also was nice to meet fellow travellers.

Très bien situé au centre de Izmir à 7 minutes de la gare et 5 minutes du bord de mer. Le personnel est très gentil et aidant. Le déjeuner est complet végétarien. L'endroit est propre et c'est un bon rapport qualité prix.

Estuve muy a gusto en el hostel, su dueño Alibaba y todas las personas que trabajan con él son muy amables y hospitalarias. Súper recomendable. Además cerca del hostel tiene un restaurante con comida muy rica y buen precio.

Un lugar tranquilo para descansar, muy aseado, la atención muy agradable y hogareña. Esta cerca a varios restaurantes y en un lugar seguro.

Really liked the hostel, there isn’t a big travellers atmosphere but Ali and his wife are super friendly and are able to help you with a lot. Would definitely recommend!

I had a lovely stay at this hostel the family was so nice. The included breakfast was huge and delicious and had different pieces every morning. the hostel is a 5 minute walk from the bus station. Many cute cafes and a little supermarket close by. The dorm is kind of a spare room with 1 bunk bed and 2 single beds in. The owner was very helpful with onward travel and took people to Ephesus. The wifi worked well. It felt very homely

Absolutely fantastic place to stay! The family who runs the property and so friendly and helpful and the location is perfect to all attractions. Alibaba also kindly dropped us at Ephesus. The breakfast was delicious and our room was cozy and clean. Highly recommend this place to all travellers. ☺️❤️

A very nice, clean place to stay in central Selcuk. Ali and family are great hosts. The breakfast is amazing and Ali's restaurant serves excellent food at a great price.

If you go anywhere in Turkey, go here!!! Such a beautiful and welcoming place. The owner and his family are so lovely and kind. They treat you so nicely and they even have a restaurant down the street that is so delicious. 100% best place we have stayed in so far in our past 2 weeks of traveling Turkey!

I really loved my stay here. The host doesnt speak english but she was so lovely and hospitable. location is great and the room was clean, warm and comfortable. i wish i had stayed longer!

Lovely stay at Alibabas house. The owner is an absolutely lovely woman who cooked us breakfast and even put a blanket over us when we were sleeping in the lounge room before check in! Great value for money.

Ali est un amour, sa maison ancienne transformée en hôtel est adorable. A 5 minutes à pied de la gare routière pour aller visiter les alentours, idem du centre ville. Mon coup de coeur de ce voyage ❤️

Very lovely and calm place to stay in Selcuk! I like the combination of Hostel and Bed & Breakfast, thus you meet al kinds of people. Staff is very friendly, accommodations are fine, breakfast delicious. I would stay there again!
