I booked a stay at OneFam home hostel for 3 nights. In the first night I woke up in the middle of the night because my whole body was itching. I found at least one bed bug in my bed (yes, I saw it, it was not a mosquito) and multiple bites on my body, especially on my arms and in a row. I left the room immediately and packed my stuff. When I talked to the staff, they first appeared to be very understanding and apologized (now I think it was probably because they did not want me to make a scene). Obviously I did not want to stay in this hostel anymore. They told me that I still have to pay for all three nights because I already booked them, the only thing they could do is give me another room. Seriously? It's not like I wanted my stay to be this short, but after suffering multiple bug bites on my whole body (that are way worse than mosquito bites) and maybe having these bugs in my things, it is pretty clear that I didn't feel like exploring the city and staying in the same hostel anymore. It is really disappointing that OneFam does not assume any responsibility here, although this bug situation ruined my stay in Prague. Also they did not do any special cleaning after I left the room, they just looked at the mattress and left everything as it was because they did not see any more bugs on the mattress (what about eggs? What about bugs that hide in some corners of the bed?) I would not feel safe in this hostel anymore. It is sad because actually it seemed to me like a neat place to stay and I also had a positive experience at OneFam before, but the handling of this situation was very unprofessional. Edit: They also canceled my booking on hostelworld.com so that I could not leave a rating there. Of course they still refuse to give me any money back. What else is there to say?

They only checked the room and the mattress very superficially for bed bugs and did no special cleaning

NO AC , STINKY ROOMS bad beds with bed bugs I dint expect sucha bad state of rooms , three legged fan The only reason i gave one star is because of the welcoming staff who helped us a lot in stress . We booked it for 3 days but stayed for just one . Sorry but really needs a makeover of the beds and rooms ! Only bag packers are recommended!

Good proximity to the train station, and social events to take part in. Unfortunately there were Bed Bugs- got heaps of bites. After I told them about the bedbugs at check out time, I got an email saying my previous two nights were cancelled 🤨. Bedbugs can happen anywhere, the Hostel worker was very nice and washed my clothes 😊. But it was a bit shady of the hostel to cancel my past bookings so I couldn’t leave a review (I found a way). Aside from that it was a nice hostel!

Pretty good socially - I wish the events were a little less basic/touristy but I guess it makes sense because we are all tourists. However, a buddy I made here found bedbugs and ended up checking out early. While it didn’t happen to me, I’d avoid this hostel for that alone. Cleanliness is kind of hit or miss and the staff and all young people mostly there temporarily so nobody really takes responsibility for things (like bedbugs) are concerning.

The hallway leading to the accommodation is a bit dark, so were the room; the sockets in the room is quite far from the bed and it's recommended to bring your own multi socket plug (I'm not sure if it's the same in the other rooms and if the property has more than enough for all the rooms); bed bugs, I know I shouldn't be complaining so much but it's quite a serious problem - I killed 4 bed bugs that were crawling on the walls, then I started checking my bed and caught 6 and drown them in a water bottle.

Ive stayed at 5 different onefams and have had amazing experiences at each. I met amazing people here and the staff were super helpful. However, on the first of November I woke up to bed bugs in the middle of the night. I notified staff and the promptly moved me to another bed for the rest of the night, where I found another bed bug. I had to leave the hostel early and seek emergency accommodation and as such requested a refund however the manager assured me it would take a few weeks to come through, more than a month later, I am yet to receive the refund. Again, I thank the staff for their assistance and care, however, management needs to address this issue. A hostel can be fantastic in every other regard but if guests can't stay with peace of mind of a clean bed or decent night's rest what is the point of it?

Een goed hostel voor de soloreiziger! Elke dag worden er activiteiten georganiseerd met elke avond een free dinner. Veel nieuwe vrienden gemaakt! Emma, Finn en Katrina toppers! Wel is de hygiëne vreselijk gebleken achteraf. Tijdens de laatste avond kwam er een nieuw persoon in het bed onder mij en het zat helemaal onder de bedwantsen. Op mijn volgende locatie had ik uitslag op mijn hele lichaam en was alles aan het jeuken. Zijn dus ook een aantal in mijn bed terechtgekomen.
