Hostel Coeur de Cite

Cannot recommend at all. We booked the Hostel for the same Day and already paid Part of the stay. We arrived even prior to the scheduled time and were then told that they did a double booking and all rooms and beds are fully occupied. They could not offer any replacements and regarding the question if they have any recommadations on where we can stay now they Said there don‘t know any and the city is probably fully booked out. There has been no refund of the Money.

Nombreux défauts : - Douche sans pression (Parce que la cité est en hauteur selon le personnel mais je doute que ce soit le cas de tous les points d'eau de la ville) - Eau du robinet chaude - Chambre sans clim ni ventilation quelconque donc bien trop chaude en été : "Désolé pour la météo, on y peut rien". Si si, vous y pouvez quelque chose. Merci tout de même à la personne de l'accueil de nuit de nous avoir prêté son ventilateur. Bref, à éviter

The owners obviously aren’t responsible for the extremely hot weather. However, it’s August. It’s always hot - every year it’s hot. To provide rooms with no fan at all, made sleeping conditions unbearable. The mattresses are covered in plastic, so they are extremely uncomfortable. The showers and basins have a water saving feature - that’s common now - however, the hostel has taken this to a ridiculous degree and made showering a really unpleasant experience of frustration. great location, although not super walkable from the train station, which i didnt realise so ended up walking the 40 minutes or so, including the many stairs. The staff didnt really speak any english which made communication difficult, and when i arrived they made me wait for a good 10 minutes before even talking to me despite not being busy. The walls are very thin, so i was woken up by screaming kids at verious times throughout the night. luvkily i was able to open the window to let a breeze i...

This is the first website review of this hostel because it opened only 2 weeks ago according to the receptionist. I think my experience here was unique but hopefully this review will be helpful to others anyway. I stayed here on Sunday and Monday nights. I think I must’ve been one of maybe 3 travelers max there. I think this is because the hostel is really new (but in an old building). So the hostel was socially dead (although this was fine with me). This may change in the future — in fa...

I had an okay time here! Unfortunately the beds were quite uncomfortable and there was no toilet paper in any of the toilets on the floor I stayed on for the entire duration of my stay. The staff were very nice, I had to ask for a duvet as you are only provided with a light blanket and the rooms are quite cold.

Perfect location + extremely friendly and helpful staff. Sheets and blankets were given to us at check in. We stayed 2 nights but only had hot water on one morning. Self catering facilities = poor. There was a kettle, fridge, hob and microwave, but no oven. Washing up: no cloth's, brushes, plug or bowl, limited kitchen paper. Cooking: no oven gloves or cloth's, the total of two saucepans and one old frying pan. No chopping board, only one sharp knife. Poor email communications before arrival.

au coeur de la cité, donc idéalement placé pour visiter. Les dortoirs sont corrects et propres. L'hostel est calme. Je recommande 👍🏻

I didn’t actually stay here because I received an email the night prior saying they had just shut down due to water damage, but they changed my booking over to a nearby hotel and I ended up paying the same price for a private hotel room so I’m extremely happy with how helpful they were on that front.

Très bon emplacement. Personnel très agréable. Propreté dans la chambre un peu décevante mais nous avons bien dormi. Nous recommandons cette auberge de jeunesse.

Fantastic hostel in a perfect location just steps from the medieval cité! Super clean, recently renovated, and staff were incredibly friendly and helpful.

Cute Hostel inside the castle, staff was really nice, I had a room for myself and even could change into a different room with air conditioning due to high temperatures

I booked the Youth Hostel on top of the Cite. When I came up there After a Long ass walk, They told me that the Hostel is gonna close die to problems with the canalisation and I am gonna stay in Hostel? Down at the Train Station. So the Location was way worse. Yes the Room was only for me and it was clean but I booked the Hostel for the shared Kitchen and the Location and to socialize.
