- Utrolig dårlig beliggenhet på hytte 23. Alle bilene kjørte forbi rett utenfor døren hele døgnet. De fleste folkene gi forbi i grusen også. Bildene fra stedet løy. Hytten var knøttliten, utslitt , gammel, utslitt og trang. Teppet var ikke rent, måtte bruke sko inne. Det var ekkelt. Felles fasiliteter ble fort litt ekle selv om de vasket en gang i døgnet. Vil ALDRI bo på et sånt sted igjen. Det var svært overpriset.
- Given the price of this accommodation, it's unacceptable that you have to walk 10 minutes outdoors just to shower, wash your hands, or use the restroom. To make matters worse, hot water is limited to only 8 minutes—if you're not done by then, you're stuck with a cold shower. I will definitely not be staying here again.

- The room we stayed in has peeling paint on the ceiling that fell on us while we were asleep, and looking at past reviews it has been like that for over a year with no repairs. They should not be renting this room out for $255 a night its disgusting and a health risk!!!! It just shows they are all about the money and not customers comfort or well being!!!!
+ Booking.com have a lot of explaining to do. They advertise a room for $150 showing photos of rooms that clearly aren’t that exact room. False advertising if ever I’ve seen it.
- I would like to know why other places could return my money when the room wasn’t up to standard but the lakes were not!!!!!!

- Room was a basic 3x3.6m DOC hut with a paint job and new floor coverings. 2 x small timber windows with single glazing $174 per night for me and my son. 1 Power outlet on opposite side of room from the bed. So... No electric blanket No phone charge next to bed No bedside light No need for a bedside table with nothing to put on it. Heater stopped working. Bed cover and blanket was very thin, not suitable for winter months. Had to sleep with clothes, jacket and beanie on to battle frost outside. No toilet No shower No water Need to walk 60m to communal facility for those modern conveniences.

- Booked this accommodation months in advance after confirming my trip to NZ and looked forward to staying here. Days prior to the booking, received a confirmation email with the correct dates and location, as well as a notification that the payment was posted only to find no key or set of check-in instructions upon arrival (staff was unavailable due to holiday function). After finally getting in contact with the property, they identified there was a mix up with the dates in their system. When asked whether we could stay on the date that was incorrectly listed, was asked to pay in full AGAIN (which we declined to pay two-fold due to their error), As a result, we didn't even get to stay at this accommodation and had an unfortunately bad experience...

- The room: My room, #6, was located next to the laundry room and as far as I could tell, there were no set hours for people to use it. I was awoken at 11:30 p.m. from people in the laundry room talking loudly. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable, sagging in the middle, with an electric blanket underneath a thin mattress cover, and the coils were digging into my back. The lighting was just awful, 3 bare CFL "cool white" bulbs in the ceiling and two dark shaded bedside lamps. There was no closet, and only three insufficient hooks, that were knobs on a piece of wood, that wouldn't hold anything. Having a loose gravel driveway for the only walkway, for those who don't have a car or just want to take a walk at night, is not fun. The receptionist who checked me in couldn't have cared less when I told her that I had a badly sprained ankle and offered no assistance whatsoever, so I ended up having to ask one of the guys working around the motel for a ride up to my room with my suitcase. The maintenance staff is very accommodating, the front desk staff, not so much. I would definitely not stay there again. It's obvious they are neglecting the motel while expanding their resort, building nice cabins etc. The motel part of their operation is awful. Seriously bad.

- The cabin was awfully small for a family of 4 and there was no water basin or fresh water anywhere in the cabin. Beds were sub standard and had no support left in them.

I think that the location is wonderful right by the lake and a short walk to the town. They offer a shuttle service that is in time with incoming buses which is great. However, the price is a little steep for what it is compared to other hostels. I think there should be some better way of storing luggage too considering check in isn’t until 3pm and you’re not allowed to access any of the buildings until that time either - the luggage storage is just a shed with no lock.

Für eine Nacht in Ordnung. Sehr schöne Aussicht auf den Lake, allerdings auch eher ab von Zentrum. Zimmer sehr spartanisch, hell und hellhörig. Badezimmer könnten eine Renovierung vertragen.

The staff was friendly.
+ Comfortable cabins, excellent shared facilities including laundry and cooking. Right next to Lake Tekapo Hot Springs, just over a 1km walk into the township.
- Lake Tekapo in general seems to have an issue with feral cats and rabbits. Would have liked to have gone for a kayak but the vendor did not turn up that day.

+ Camping Feeling in komfortabler Cabin mit unbezahlbarem Blick auf den Lake Tekapo und den Sternenhimmel nachts. Gemeinschaftsküche weiß man vorher bei Buchung. Sauber. Tolle Wanderwege und Church The Good Shepherd vor der Tür. Sehr gerne würden wir wiederkommen wenn nicht 19.000km entfernt.

+ Clean and close to lake
- Very small cabin, lack storage facilities. Cooking equipment is insufficient and very old. No screens on doors so mosquitoes flooded the cabin in the evening. The shower gel container in shower was empty so had to use hand wash to shower. The cabin I hired said water views but we had lots of pine trees blocking the view. Very misleading
