This message is sent to Hostelworld Customer Service to formally report a substandard and misleading hostel. My husband and I booked three nights at Samario Host, Santa Marta. In reality, the hostel operates as “Believer Hostel” and does not match the listing. Conditions were unsanitary (humidity, insects, dirty room/bathroom, no sheets or pillowcases, water leaking). Wir haben leider sehr schnell festgestellt, dass wir Bettwanzen im Zimmer haben und sind dann direkt wieder gegangen. Das Hostel wurde umbenannt und hieß wohl früher Believer Hostel. Online sprechen die Bewertungen viel von Bettwanzen etc. Immerhin haben wir das Geld zurück bekommen, dass wir vor Ort gezahlt hatten aber erst nach einigen Diskussionen. Ein anderer Reisender, der mit uns im Zimmer war hatte leider nicht so viel Glück, weil ihm gesagt wurde sein Geld sein schon nicht mehr da.
This place is the bare minimum a hostel could offer. It is definetly enough to spend a night or two during layover but I would definetly not advise you to stay there during a longer stay in Santa Marta. Its great for the bare minimum but there are no Lockers for your stuff, the showers are just a tube sticking out from the wall and there are just 3 toilets for the entire hostel. The location is really central and perfect for a layover when traveling to Minca or along the coast as the Main Mar...
+ Très bruyant le soir. La chambre est très petite mais confortable et climatisée. Il y avait de l'eau chaude dans les douches et c'était propre. Le personnel est très accueillant.

- Chambre minuscule avec lit au plancher supérieur et pour y monter ont doit utiliser un échelle,plafond à 3 pieds du lit.

+ Tienen aire acondicionado y los habitaciones tienen más espacio que anticipaba. Está muy cerca de restaurantes y el centro de Santa Marta.
- No hay agua caliente, no es super frio más como tibia. Las camas son muy incómodas y duras.

+ El servicio, la habitación y sus amenidades
- No muy lejos de la parte más turística pero súper cerca para ir a los buses a Tayrona, Palomino etc

+ La atención de la persona encargada, fue muy amable y nos dio todo tipo de información, nos orientó sobre las zonas y es un buen punto de partida para descubrir la ciudad, del hotel andando al centro de la ciudad hay 5 minutos. También a 5 minutos o menos andando se encuentran los autobuses que salen hacia el parque Tayrona, nosotros fuimos con la maleta y mochilas y es un trayecto corto.
- el aire acondicionado de la habitación hacía bastante ruido, es la única pega que se le puede poner, lo demás perfecto
+ Ich habe mich sehr wohl und sicher gefühlt. Das Personal ist sehr hilfsbereit! Sehr praktisch in der Nähe vom mercado central wo die Busse sind nach Palomino und Minca
+ Està super aprop del mercat, perfecte per si vols anar cap al tayrona o minca, ja que es des d’on surten els busos. Nosaltres vam anar dos dies al taytona i ens van guardar les motxilles. Tenen un mapa amb tota la informació, tant de punts atractius de la ciutat, transports… A mes l’habitació te aire per la nit i la piscineta està genial per refrescar-se! També te cuina.

+ Un ambiente muy tranquilo. En la recepción me dio la bienvenida Nancy y me brindo bastante información sobre puntos de interés en la zona. El hostal esta muy bien ubicado y todo impecable. Perfecto para un buen descanso y explorar el centro histórico de Santa Marta. Recomendado.

+ Meilleur hostel qu’on ait eu en Colombie (en 6 semaines) ! Hyper arrangeant et super sympa ! Juste à côté du mercado pour prendre le bus pour Tayrona ou Minca
