Central Hostel Pondicherry

The hostel is oké. It is oké clean. The breakfast is oké, not to much to choose from but the pancakes are good. The beds are very hard and we didn’t sleep that good on them. The staff is friendly and is willing to help you with everything.

Overall ok, but a 25 min walk from the centre. The rooms are ok, and it is pretty silent and calm at night but the breakfast is very bad/ it is unfortunate because it does not take much and it would make a huge difference. Also the reception is very slow to respond and when I got picked from the airport- I had to wait 1h for someone else even though I was told will be the only one- arrived at midnight to the airport made to the hostel at 3:30 AM. Overall pricy for the service they provided

Kamers, ontbijt & personeel zijn allemaal goed! Enige negatieve wat wij hebben ervaren is de receptieservice die 24/7 beschikbaar zou zijn. Het hostel geeft aan dat wanneer je 10 minuten voor aankomen een appje stuurt, zij aanwezig zullen zijn. Dit was echter niet het geval & mijn zus stond nu ‘s nachts 45 minuten in een donkere straat te wachten zonder naar binnen te kunnen, dan wel reactie van de receptie.

Staff were very helpful checking us in at 0100 when our shuttle was very delayed. Bedrooms were big. Some weird stains on the walls. The bathrooms smelt bad most of the time. Breakfast was average. Very difficult to locate hostel, no signage at all.

Loved the rooftop!!

Beautiful hostel with the same owner as Central Hostel (which is right around the corner). A tad difficult to find but the place is very well finished, clean and comfortable with an amazing roof terrace with views of volcan de agua. The owner offers all the information and services including tours and shuttles you could need.

Deuxième fois qu’on restait avec Central Hostel durant notre voyage et on an encore été très satisfait. Petit mention spécial à Sandra qui est tout simplement trop aimable et aidante ! Merci

A bit out of the central area of the city and not the easiest to locate but was clean and staff were very helpful (they tend to be based at the sister hostel). It was fine for a night but preferred the other hostel I stayed which was more centrally located and social. No complaints though, it’s a more quite chilled vibe is that’s what you’re after.

Amazing Hostel but it‘s kinda hard to find. We just went to Central Hostel and the nice Lady showed us the way. Everything else was very good. Would come back. The breakfast was also nice and free :)

Tuvimos la oportunidad de quedarnos en el hostal en donde fuimos atendidos por luci. luci es una persona maravillosa que desde el primer momento en que llegamos, nos atendió de la mejor manera posible, haciéndonos sentir como en casa y recibiéndonos con todo su amor. se nota que está comprometida con su trabajo. su disposición, su limpieza, sus pancakes, todo fue delicioso y la amamos!! ojalá muchas personas tengan la posibilidad de conocerla

Tuvimos la oportunidad de quedarnos en el hostal en donde fuimos atendidos por luci. luci es una persona maravillosa que desde el primer momento en que llegamos, nos atendió de la mejor manera posible, haciéndonos sentir como en casa y recibiéndonos con todo su amor. se nota que está comprometida con su trabajo. su disposición, su limpieza, sus pancakes, todo fue delicioso y la amamos!! ojalá muchas personas tengan la posibilidad de conocerla

Traveling solo so comfort and safety are key for me. Great stay for a couple of nights. Private Room was comfy, cute and clean. Super soft sheets (random but I noticed!). Washrooms were tiny and noise travelled - but expected in an old building. I expect other accommodations to be the same, so bring earphones. Views from rooftop were amazing. Had trouble finding the hostel as I had my maps on drive mode. It’s tucked in a narrow, foot path alley. Don’t make the same mistake as me! Gracias!

Este lugar me encantó bastante tranquilo, todo muy limpio, las habitaciones son amplias, bastante confortables, el desayuno muy bueno fruta fresca, panqueques, cereal y un buen café para iniciar el día, la terraza es genial se puede ver todos los volcanes, tiene cocina y nevera por si quieres preparar algo para tu cena o almuerzo es genial ya que esto lo hace bastante práctico para cuando estas viajando y quieres ahorrar algo de dinero en restaurantes, los chicos de la recepción súper aten...
