   Ok- nearly got scammed as I arrived as no security was outside, but there was security out for the rest of my stay. As a first time female solo traveller thos was very unsettling. Paid for a female only room and did not receive this. Also paid a £10 deposit for my room key which I was told woukd be refunded at the end of my trip if I have my key back- which I did, and haven’t received the money back yet after over 2 weeks. I have emailed twice asking for my money back but no response.

   STAY AWAY Absolute scam. When we entered our room we noticed that the shelves were dusty and the toilet was not cleaned properly. Also please stay away from this place if you don’t want your money stolen. The workers went in our room without any permission and went through our stuff. They stole all my money, and didn’t get anything back.

   Bad Experience – Overpriced and Poor Service We arrived around 2 AM, booked online for €800, but at check-in they charged €1,100, adding extra fees for keys and towels. The room was overpriced, the bed sheet was dirty and smelly, and the overall service was poor. We were exhausted and had no choice but to sleep in that condition. Definitely not recommended.

   Very disappointing stay. We were robbed during our visit and never received the key deposit back. On top of that, there were unexpected extra charges. The staff were rude and unhelpful, and one bearded staff member in particular made the whole experience stressful. I would not recommend this hostel to anyone visiting Morocco.

   ‼️ROBBERY‼️my friends and I stayed at this hostel and were robbed of all the money in our room by the housekeeping staff. The front of house were very hesitant to allow us to speak to management, that said once I spoke to the manager she was completely useless, trusting her staff over me. Housekeeping rooted through our stuff to find cash. Very unsafe place and disrespectful staff. DO NOT STAY HERE, much nicer places around at a better price. WiFi was also poor and rooms not very clean. Housekeeping staff were clearly preoccupied with other activities

   This hostel is stealing from its customers. I was a victim of fraud. I booked at Equity Point Marrakech through Hostelworld. Upon arrival, they demanded a €40 cash deposit with a promise to return it at checkout. On the day I left, they did not return anything. Later, via email, they claimed the amount was refunded to my card — which never happened. I have sent over 30 emails requesting a proof of transfer, and the hostel has simply ignored me. To this day, I have not received my money nor any evidence of a refund. My bank confirmed that no refund was ever processed. This is outright theft. A place that treats its guests this way should not be allowed to operate. I am reporting this case to authorities and all major travel platforms. Do not trust this place.

   If you're Moroccan, do not book mixed dorms at this hostel. On the day of your arrival, they will email you claiming that Moroccans are not allowed in mixed dorms because there are female guests. Then they’ll pressure you to book a private room for 1000 MAD / 100€. If you refuse, you won’t get a refund. This policy is not mentioned directly at the app or beforehand, and it feels like a scam targeting locals. Be warned.

   When you check in, it is mandatory to pay a deposit (cash only). When you check out, they say they will return the money (to the card used for the reservation), but they NEVER give the money back. I’ve made countless attempts, and to this day I haven’t received it. This establishment lacks ethics.

    Overpriced for what you get. The hostel charges a high rate compared to others in Marrakesh, but the facilities and service don’t match. Staff made inappropriate comments and were rude when we raised concerns. They also try to price gouge you at every opportunity, from basic services to extras. We left feeling uncomfortable and ripped off. Would not recommend staying here — there are much better, safer options for less money

    • We were scammed on arriving to the hostel by young men waiting nearby who were targeting people making their way to this hostel, they would guide you the short remaining 50 meters even if you said no, then demand a ‘gift’ of money.

    Good hostel with pool and rooftop that has a basic bar and restaurant. We were scammed on arriving to the hostel by young men waiting nearby who were targeting people making their way to this hostel, they would guide you the short remaining 50 meters even if you said no, then demand a ‘gift’ of money. This happened to others who stayed at the hostel and it would be wise for the hostel to do something about this such as have a guard outside the door to assist travelers in such situations.

    • The French owner broke into our room at 8am in the morning unannounced. Me and my friend were asleep and woke up to him at the end of our bed yelling at us, due to another guest bringing a bottle of gin into our room from the airport.

    STAFF were not very welcoming and accomodating to us while we visited. The French owner broke into our room at 8am in the morning unannounced. Me and my friend were asleep and woke up to him at the end of our bed yelling at us, due to another guest bringing a bottle of gin into our room from the airport. We did not know about the rules and wished they stated it more clearly so we didn’t have any issue. The roof terrace closes at midnight and after that the whole hostel is policed. DONT STAY.

    • In the evening and early morning we were followed three times in two days by a man claiming to work in the medina and telling us that the correct street for the hostel was closed. He blocked our way and insulted us when we wouldn’t pay him.

    Well located, nice staff, beautiful hostel. Hammam was very good. Overall really happy with our stay there. Important to know that the location of the hostel inside the medina is not reachable by taxi. However, we did not feel entirely safe coming to and from the hostel.
