Wonderloft Hostel Jogja

Disclaimer: Grund für die schlechte Bewertung sind Bettwanzen - abgesehen davon ist das Hostel eine gute Unterkunft mit sauberen Toiletten. Wir waren vor 3 Tagen da. Direkt in unserer ersten Nacht haben wir (wir sind zu zweit) in beiden Betten Bettwanzen entdeckt. Und das Problem scheint im Hostel bekannt zu sein. Zum einen, weil zwei Wochen vorher auch schon eine Rezension zu Bettwanzen geschrieben wurde. Zum anderen, weil die Person an der Rezeption in keiner Weise überrascht war. Bis auf die Anzahlung konnten wir unseren Aufenthalt problemlos stornieren. Die Klamotten, welche wir im Bett anhatten, wurden gewaschen. Das ist eine nette Geste, es machte jedoch angesichts der Tatsache, dass wir auch unsere Rucksäcke samt Inhalt noch waschen mussten, nur bedingt einen Unterschied. Das Frühstück mussten wir nicht bezahlen, was nett war. Als wir am Tag danach dran vorbeifuhren, lagen Matratzen draußen zum trocken. Daraus schließe ich, dass sich angemessen darum gekümmert wurde.

Poor, dishonest and greedy management. I booked for 6 nights, paid 180,000 deposit through HostelWorld. I arrived at 3am via bus only to be told my reception that they have bedbugs in the dorm and I’ll have to sleep at a different accommodation that night. I returned 2 days later to continue my booking, to be informed by other guests that the bedbugs had spread to the other rooms and I should not sleep there. The management refused to refund my deposit to me, even though I didn’t not stay with them due to their dorm issues. While I understand that the deposit money is with the third party I booked with, I believe the hostel should have taken accountability, and offered compensation to me for something that was completely their problem. I also saw reception still checking in guests into dorms despite knowing they had a bedbug infestation. They changed my booking so that I couldn’t leave a review on HostelWorld. Shameful and dishonest. If you read other reviews on Google, you’ll see that for months y they have had problems with bedbug infestation and continually cancel people’s bookings on third party platforms so guests can’t leave honestly reviews on those platforms. Poor actions taken by the staff and management, disappointing and greedy. Stay somewhere else, Los Manos next door has a way better vibe.

Really Nice hostel, easy to get in touch with other travelers. Can’t really say much though because I didn’t spend the night there due to a bedbugs breakout. They handled it really fair and transparent though, which was good!

Had de grote gedeelde kamer. Één nacht verbleven ipv drie. Vond veel bedbugs in mijn bed. Iemand aan de andere kant van de kamer vond ze ook in zijn bed. Hebben wel netjes al mijn spullen gewassen en geld terug gegeven maar leken al voor mijn komst op de hoogte te zijn van het probleem toen ik in gesprek met hen was. Ook na mijn komst hebben ze mensen ingecheckt in die kamer ondanks dat meerdere mensen, die er dezelfde tijd waren als ik in die kamer na mijn constatering ook bedbugs vonden in hun bedden. Er werd gevraagd of ik niks over de bedbugs tegen de andere gasten wilde zeggen en hebben daarna mijn boeking geannuleerd op booking.com waardoor ik geen review kon achterlaten. Dus daarom maar op deze manier. In potentie kan het een heel mooi en fijn hostel zijn, jammer dat ze op dit moment niet genoeg ondernemen om het bedbugprobleem op te lossen.

Cleanliness not good, bedbugs in the room and bedsheets did not smell clean

Er bleken in een dorm bed bugs te zijn!! En hoe ze daarmee omgingen is ronduit schandalig. Ze vroegen de persoon die het ontdekte het niet aan de andere gasten te vertellen... Het personeel reageerde chagrijnig dat iedereen besloot uit te checken. Waarschijnlijk hebben ze niets aan de bed bugs gedaan.
